We've been to Sue's Kitchen several times since indoor dining has been shut down. We call in our orders and are given an accurate time for pick-up. The food is always piping hot and the staff is courteous and follow safety precautions, which is important to us. The yellow curry and Pad Thai noodles are our favorites, as well as the appetizer platter with the chicken satay, egg rolls, and fried tofu with dipping sauces. The restaurant may be difficult to find since it's located in a strip mall that's located above street level, but I definitely recommend it! read more

I would definitely consider this place a local favorite. prices are great for the quality, quantity, and clean and friendly environment. It has a shared parking with other businesses in the small plaza, but there is almost always at least a couple spots left for you, unless it is a Friday night dinner, sometimes all the spots will be gone. I highly recommend their nam kao, as well as the appetizer combo which includes fried tofu, chicken skewer, and fried eggroll with great peanut sauce and fish sauce. I find their lao dishes to be higher relative quality than their thai dishes, you can find better pad see ew, but you cannot find any comparable lao food. all of their noodle dishes are good, soups are always right on point (noodle soup). the waitstaff is attentive, kind, and welcoming here to all peoples. read more

Strip mall rating of 4 stars is well deserved here. the service is spot on no hovering of staff and yet there is always someone there if you need anything. My Wife ordered the yum Wood Sen, a salad with rice noodles and chicken. It was great tasting with lots of flavor/texture combinations. I ordered my usual, Tom Kha Gai and while everywhere I have ever tried this it is a little different, I always enjoy it. Sue's kitchen is no exception this soup is delicious here. A little note here if you don't like spicy food you can order this mild but I suggest you have them bring out a little of the hot chili you don't need to add much but a tiny bit brings the flavor way up without making the soup hot. If you do like to heat things up order it spicy they will oblige and you will be very happy with the result. We started this with the appetizer combo, Chicken Satay, deep fried tofu, and egg rolls all with appropriate sauces and they too were delicious. My wife and I always share and normally I order out of my comfort zone so next time I'll be more adventurous and find a menu item I've never tried. This place is de-lic-ous and way affordable. Its pretty hidden in a tiny plaza with a scary steep driveway, but there is usually enough parking available. I've liked everything that I've ever ordered here. My only problem, which is kind of a big one, is that this place is extremely slowww. The last time I went I waited for 30 minutes for my party of 4 to be seated, another 10 minutes to order, and then another 20-30 minutes to get our food which all came at different times instead of together. My usual go to spot for Lao food. I always get the kao piek! Its perfect for the cold weather. They have great Lao style som tum salad, it has the perfect balance of salty and sweet. Its a smaller restaurant that fills up quickly for dinner time! Note that it is closed on Sundays! read more

While I was browsing for places to eat on Yelp, I happened to stumble upon Sue's Kitchen and wasn't sure where it was located at. When I got there, much to my surprise, I recognized the location and remembered that there used to be a Vietnamese place there before Sue's Kitchen took over. First time I ate from there, I got the Pad Makeur with Chicken and it was quite good. The next time after that, I tried out the Pad kee Mao with chicken-chili garlic sauce with flat noodles, which was delicious. I prefer that more compared to the Pad Makeur. All in all, the dishes are delicious (from what I've tried so far), the portions are great, and the prices are reasonable, especially compared to the more expensive Thai places nearby. read more

My wife found this place and we've been coming back ever since. Service was good and even on a busy night. The food tasted great! I had the pad thai and my wife ordered the Larb Kai. Both were the bomb and recommend them. This place is definitely a true hole-in-the-wall. The quality tastes really authentic and it's really affordable. This is the go to spot. Small place but fills your stomach to the top. The servers are very polite! Everyone should try their Chicken Pad Thai, Pad Se Euuuu, and their garlic pho soup! Kao poon. This place had me salivating after the glorious dish since I first laid eyes on the yelp snapshots that other reviewers had posted. I ventured to Sue's today, and kao poon was calling my name. How could anyone possibly resist the aromatic curry soup that's filled with veggies and tender chicken? It's hard to find a close match to the good ol' Kanom Jeen dish that I grew up with, but kao poon is a pretty good alternative to it. I love that the broth is flavorful with the right balance of sweetness from the coconut milk and saltiness from the fish sauce. If you're a fan of zesty fares like me, do squeeze some lemon juice onto the dish. I did that and I loved the slight sourness of the broth along with the citrusy fragrance. The noodles were a bit overcooked for me since I prefer them chewier. Maybe next time I'll try getting the noodles separate from the broth instead. Service here Is pretry quick since I got my food within less than 10 minutes of ordering. It's not about the recipe, it's not even just about the ingredients. It's about intuition. My bf and I had the somtam, kaosoi, and Nuanamtok. The somtam is huge, and each bite is crispy and new. Even though I was full I kept eating. It was like drugs. Spicy, tart, verdant drugs. The kaosoi and namtok were balanced and strong. Sue's kitchen does not disappoint. The atmosphere is very family oriented. Joey is very sweet and is super attentive even remembers your dish and the way you like it! Now that's a touch of customer I wish more places had! The food is always delicious and fresh. I love that they bring the hot tea pot to the table and you can pour as much as you want without having to constantly ask for more-- if you like to drink hot tea with your meals you will appreciate this!! Great food at great prices with great service!!! My family and I have gone to Sue's Kitchen for about 2 years now. We go at least once a month, and at times go once a week. There has never been a time that the food has not tasted amazing. The waiters/waitresses (especially Chris and Jack) are always attentive and friendly, so much so that we're on a first name basis with them. They know our order, though we switch it up sometimes. I recommend getting the Som Tum Gai Young, yellow curry, and/or Pad Makeur. You will not regret this. Me and my bf love this place. We come here almost every thursday night and it was always packed. Their Combo Platter is a must if you want to try all the appetizers except for the calamari. We both in love with Kao Soy. It's so delicious and you cannot find any other Thai restaurant has kao soy as good as this restaurant. Everything else are really good too.
