The aesthetics give a "casino" feel with trendy backgrounds and photo-friendly food, but the flavor doesn't hit as well as the visuals. If you don't mind, then def. an ok place to experience the casino. Order the delicious wings, avoid the dry burgers and stale fries. I would possibly give this 1/2 star if I could, and only because we were seated promptly, our server was pleasant and the decor was quite nice. The restaurant was out of espresso, and I got the feeling it didn't just happen that day (we were seated at 11am).... that eliminates quite a lot of the fancy non-alcoholic drinks. Our server kindly suggested they could be made with ordinary coffee... no thanks. Glad we declined that invitation for another reason.... 5 of us did have the coffee and it was absolutely terrible (despite her advising it would take a while because they were brewing a fresh pot). No amount of sugar, creamer or anything else could save this bitter awful sewage water. For what they charge they should be ashamed. The $46 goblet drinks are all show and no go.... there MIGHT be 3oz of liquor contained therein..... maybe.. skip ordering these and watch those delivered to other tables for the pomp and circumstance. They were also unable to make several drinks we atrempted to order... none of this ingredient or that ingredient... sigh. FYI adding gummy candies to cold liquids makes them hard as a rock... always has, always will. That darned physics again. On to the food..... we ordered two different omelets and two eggs Benedict's. Every bit of egg on all 4 dishes was way overcooked. No run whatsoever in the yolk of any benedict egg. Omelet eggs were rubbery AND tasteless... quite obvious they used no salt, no pepper, nothing but egg.... IF it was even egg and not egg substitute or "eggs in a box". McDonalds does eggs better and for 1/3 the price. Nutella pancakes were indeed impressive LOOKING.... however there was precious little Nutella involved.... only a small amount of drizzle on top. The rest was ghastly indeed. Three very thick cakes which were way more "cake" than pancake both in consistency and taste..... in between these 1 inch thick bundt-like things were chocolate brownie bites - mediocre at best. Covering all this mess was some obvious "whipped cream from a spray can". There are NO michelin--star chefs in this kitchen, I assure you.... think "short-order cook" from a greasy spoon diner in Queens NY at 3am on a Saturday night. For a restaurant that SHOULD be high-end (given its location inside a ritzy casino combined with its prices) this was a horrific experience indeed. Prices are what you'd expect from a casino restaurant.... which I never object to assuming the food and service are up to that level. This place falls WAY short in every way. A great place to celebrate your favorite day at . They have sweet and sweeter drinks that can pour out smoke or simply adorned with candy and pops. The food is pretty basic yet pricey. Expect to pay in the 16/36 range to have something good . The drink menu is larger with decedent milkshakes as well. Today was my 45th birthday and since it was a Friday night they had to take your name and text you when a table is ready (2hrs tops) . We were seated and our orders were taken quickly. We had 2 tables with 4 families with kids, our total damage was close to $ 600.00 for what was basically burgers and some very very very sweet drinks in $ 46.00 goblets. The goblets are all show, and to be very honest... We could not even finish them because of a fear of getting diabetes because of the amount of sugar that was in them. The kids took a sip from theirs and left it as it. Says a lot about the quality. We tried ordering a few $ 25.00 drinks first but they were unavailable at first and that resulted in us ordering some other very sweet garbage. I ordered the tomato soup. I really enjoy this soup. Our waitress was awesome and very helpful. It was a bit loud as it was a Saturday dinner crowd. But all at our table enjoyed their entrees of Cajun chicken pasta, hamburger, and chicken salad. Will definitely go back again. Two at our table had drinks one was west coast sunset. Saturday, 1/19 - party of 2 I was so excited to try the Sugar Factory after seeing the menu on Foxwood's website but what a disappointment!! My son and I ordered Giggles Snickers and the Chocolate Rocky Road milkshakes ($17 each). While they were really eye-opening to look at and ahhh over, they were just a sugar overload. The milkshakes were just slush when they arrived at our table. I had to try one of those 60 oz goblet drinks and the blood orange one was calling my name. Passion Punch - blood orange and passion fruit. The waitress said the drinks have 5-6 shots of alcohol in them. She brings over this huge goblet full of ice and pours in a 20-24 oz shaker of the drink mixture. No orange slices like the menu picture. Dry ice makes it look festive. I honestly think the bartender forgot the alcohol. I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinks and I felt nothing! Not the slightest bit tipsy after consuming 5-6 shots. $36 and they forgot the alcohol! The craziest thing I've ever heard from a waitress - I asked for napkins since she just gave us those small bar napkins. She told me the cloth napkins were only for the dinner guests. What?!? I spent $70 for 2 desserts and one drink and I can't even get a decent napkin! Insane! While the waitress was smiling and the place is really cute with its little marble tables and chandeliers, it feels more like a place for pre-teens to celebrate their birthdays. It's a novelty. The place is decorated nicely inside....... The waitress was super nice and very attentive.....The food was average........ we went next door to the candy store for candy they had gelato ice cream was delicious...... I wasn't a fan that they don't have prices listed...... to me that looks like whatever the product it will be expensive...... but it wasn't bad on price I got the coconut gelato and the red velvet gelato.......... Feeling lucky and adventurous, went on a day trip to Foxwoods casino in Connecticut. Inside the casino, as expected, beautifully decorated and slot machines everywhere, bells and whistles ringing every dew seconds, bright lights flashing all over the place, but one place stood out and caught my attention, the Sugar factory. Decided to give it a try and at first, I thought it was a gimmicky restaurant that sells nothing but sweet desserts, drinks and sugary treats, and the food was just gonna be meh...... but to my surprise, the Sugar Factory have very tasty food with good presentation. We ordered a sampler platter which had buffalo wings with just the right amount of kick, crispy onion rings, juicy tenders and the star of the platter gotta be the fried mac and cheese, it is to die for. Also ordered a side of meatballs made with combination of beef and veal soaked in a homemade marinara sauce. Also got some sliders which was juice and bread was soft. For entree, which i should have skipped, i got the cajun chicken alfredo, skipped nkt because itnwas bad but because I ordered too many apps and thenportion was huge. Lol. Pasta was cooked tonperfection and alfredo sauce was creamy and tasty, cheesy and chicken was juicy. Overall experience was positive and i have nothing to complaint about except im a little mad at myself for not saving room for dessert as each and every dessert that went pass my table all looked delicious and fantastic. Wonderful experience ! From start to finish ! Our hostess pulled out two of the chairs for us to be seated & our waitress Heaven was very nice. In the past, I complained about having something cooked only one way such as meat/ steak but, on this day without me having to ask, she offered a range ( so thank you ) ‼ The food was very filling & very delicious I wouldn't have had this wonderful night if it wasn't for the owner Dana Thank you again Dana, we surely will be coming back here on birthdays Also gave a generous tip because of how much better it was for us compared to the first time. Have visited the Sugar Factory a couple times and have felt like food is never seasoned well. Today we visited and one of our orders never came out. My friend I went here this past weekend to check out there drinks. We made a reservation using open table and I would highly recommend doing that. They were turning people away who did not have one. Drinks: my friend ordered the watermelon drink, which I tried and was very tasty. I had the purple margarita. It was ok. I would have it again if it were $20 instead of $36. I would have expected to get a souvenir glad at that price. The goblet wasn't even glass at all, it was very aged plastic. It's been around a while and could probably be replaced. Food: my friend and I both had the same, Buffalo Chicken sandwich. We both ordered with no tomatoes and I ordered my sauce on the side. My sauce did not come, which was fine with me because I didn't actually want it but it had tomatoes on it. Service: we were seated and greeted by our server promptly. She was pleasant and brought our drinks and took our order. We received our food from a busser and had to wait for our server as we never received utencils or napkins, who never came. I eventually flagged down the hostess and then our server came. Atmosphere: the decorations and theme seemed a little dated to me. Looked like they were going for Alice in Wonderland maybe? They pumped rap music about 2 levels too loud and I could barely hear my friend sitting across the small table. I wished they would have played a variety of music and at a slightly lower volume. This review is based off the manager reaching out to me after reading my review. She was very generous and came by many times to check on my friend and I during our second visit. Overall, service was so much better. Obviously it was under different circumstances but I definitely felt taken care of. Our server was super friendly and every time my drink was empty she was right there with a new one. She was fantastic. I'm glad I got to try some more things off the menu. We decided to give a few new things a shot. I wanted to try the margarita pizza as an appetizer. It's nothing amazing, there is lots of cheese so that's always a plus. Its the kind of pizza that's almost better the second day cold from the fridge. We ended up taking the rest to go after trying it. I opted for the veggie burger and the salmon salad. Veggie burger was good, it had good flavors but the salmon salad is the show stopper. Definitely one of the best salads. Salmon was perfectly cooked too. My friend went with the turkey club and she enjoyed it too. For dessert we went with a Nutella crepe. It was good, tons and tons of chocolate. I'm still on a sugar high. I will stick to what I said before, Sugar Factory is great for dessert and their fun drinks. No doubt about it, the food is a little lacking however. A great experience tonight at the sugar factory!!! We had reservations for 8:15 and showed up early to see if we could be seated earlier, and we were!!! 10 minutes early! We ordered our drinks and food right as we sat and our drinks were at the table in 10 minutes and our food came in 20!! I was so surprised because it was super busy too. Despite all the bad reviews my daughter begged me to go for her 14th birthday. We were not disappointed. The food was okay, we ordered the surf & turf (75.00) I think it was overpriced. The appetizer sampler was tasty, I asked for my wings well done and got just that. My daughter ordered the rainbow sliders (most of those came home & ended in the garbage). I would definitely go back there. The drink I had which was similar to a Long Island was pretty decent. My kids ordered the shark water and we left majority of it at the table. We ate breakfast here this morning. Our server and the decor were great! That's all that was good. The food was pretty bad. I ordered the Sugar Factory Omelette. This baby was small and at first glance looked yummy because it was puffy. As soon as I cut into it, I knew. This was going to be bad. None of the veggies in the omelette were even kind of cooked. They were raw. I didn't really want to eat raw onions and peppers, but here I was. I tried the potatoes next and they were ice cold. Wow. We each got coffee and were initially excited because they brought us each our own carafe. When we took a sip, we nearly gagged because it was burnt. My wife to the French toast and said, it was fine but just fine. Overall we wished we'd repeated breakfast at Johnny Rockets or gone to Dunkin. This place is a hard pass for us. I know for some people that sounds too long but you also have to understand the place is popular and that's what happens at popular places long lines and it's pretty loud. $39 dollars for a dried iced drink isn't bad considering it's DRY ICE in a drink. The only reason for the four stars is because of our waitress. While taking our order she was staring at I presume was her boyfriend. I understand the special cocktails that are made in a big goblet with dry ice are expensive. I was shocked when i found out my regular manhattan, in a normal manhattan glass was $25.00 each! This place is a bucket list for many. I can say that we had a really great time with some cool goblet drinks (Virgin) and enjoyed the trendy candy decor. The box has been checked and we're likely not heading back unless it ends up on a special occasion list again. Previewed the menu before arriving to see what I should expect to pay and directed the kiddos in the menu accordingly. I suggest you do the same. The fog-like effect drinks go for $26 a pop minus the alcohol. My four young dining companions KNEW ahead off time that they would be sharing with their designated partner. Two straws per drink made the cost not quite as painful. We're all family so the sharing was a great option. I would recommend the rainbow sliders with the sauce and crispy onions on the side. They were juicy and quite tasty but the Russian dressing-like sauce might not be for everyone. One of the kids wanted pancakes which were über fluffy. Not remarkable however and I would pass on those. We enjoyed an order of Mac n cheese pops which were free thanks to our yelp checkin with the purchase of the pancake entree. Those were very tasty. I splurged for a $20 King Kong show for my birthday guy. Not worth it for a few seconds of someone flicking the lights on and off and turning the music on blast. I think I'd go with the standard birthday song for the bubble instead. The staff was pleasant and efficient. I made a reservation ahead of time and our Table was ready when we got there. No waiting. The last thing that was a detractor for me was that this franchise is inside the casino... near the smokers slot area. Bringing my kids here just felt somehow not right. However, some people may see this feature as a positive since it is a beautiful casino venue. That's why we got choices, peeps. So go and check it out.
