It's an experience. The menu is fun to explore, the gold burger and $400 lobster etc. have to see for yourself. The food people actually order is good and portions huge. We went on a holiday so the noise level was off the charts. It is expensive but again is a specialty restaurant in a casino. Except for the three nasty, couldn't care less hostesses the service was good and we had a good time.
I have given this place a good number of tries through the years. It has gotten worse and worse, and unfortunately this time I had to leave a review. To give an overview, their food is extremely subpar and very very overpriced, their service is slow and the servers do not really care about their guests, and their management and front of house are an absolute mess. I know it looks fun and inviting from the outside, but after giving it multiple attempts this place is just not worth it at all. Save your money and time! Last time we went, we didn't have a reservation and waited TWO. HOURS. in line. If you don't have room, say how long the wait is or simply don't allow walk ins. They STACK their dining room with only reservations even when short staffed and leave no room for walk ins. When we get seated each time, the servers always take a long time to get to us, they sound so monotone, and the food takes forever. I got the Salmon salad this time and the salmon was very dry and the salad was half going bad. It was not a good experience once again, and when we tried to tell the server our experience of the food, the waiter said it "isn't his fault". Unfortunately this place has fallen flat too many times, and we won't be back.
Came here for the first time yesterday, finally. I came for a drink but did end up getting a meal. They do NOT cater to ANY allergies so beware when eating here. They ID you no matter your age so don't think it's a compliment. Took forever to get our drink, I watched it sit at the bar for about 10 minutes before it finally made it to my table, we had already been served our salads. It was 5pm on a Monday and there were many open tables. It looked like our server only had two tables. The food was nothing to write home about. I got the chopped steak stuffed with mozz cheese and it was just a charred burger served next to a basket of fries. But let's be honest, who's coming here for that? You come first the drinks and sugary desserts. Is it a gimmick? Absolutely, but it works. We got the hypnotic long island and it did not disappoint. It was bubbly just about the whole time we drank it. We didn't get flavor fatigue. We had a nice buzz even after sharing it. Would I come here again? Yes but ONLY for a fun drink. There's plenty of other better food options at the casino.
We had an amazing waitress at the bar I think her name was Morgan, she was literally the best!! Chill but fun vibes and the brioche bread we had was perfect with our watermelon drink! You can come with friends or family, either way it's a win! It's definitely a vibe here and the drink is the highlight!
We stopped here for dinner while staying at great Wolf Lodge across the street. We tried to call and the lady said there wasn't a wait so we went down, but we still waited about a half hour to even get in. After that, when we finally got in, it was better. The atmosphere there was so pretty and fun for kids. They have colorful menu items and it's a nice environment. They sang to people nearby whose birthday it was and the lights flashed on and off. As for the food, we loved what we got. I got a burger which was juicy and flavorful. The sauce they added was great. Tasteful blend. The penne Alfredo was also good. Not overly creamy, and the chicken in it was cooked perfect. Drinks were good as well.
We visited the Sugar Factory at Foxwoods this past Thursday, January 15th, to celebrate my daughter's 8th birthday, her actual birthday. This was something we had been looking forward to for weeks. We made reservations ahead of time and clearly noted it was for a birthday. My daughter was dressed up, wearing a birthday sash, and was beyond excited as we walked over from Great Wolf Lodge. We were seated fairly quickly, as the restaurant was not very crowded, though there were a few larger parties. Directly across from us was a long table celebrating another young child's birthday. Shortly after we were seated, that family ordered the large sundae. Multiple staff members came out, music played throughout the restaurant, and there was a large light-up "Happy Birthday" sign. It was very over-the-top, and honestly, it was impressive. I was excited knowing my daughter would likely get the same experience. Because we were not planning to order the giant sundae, I stepped away from the table and spoke directly to the hostess. I explained it was my daughter's birthday, that I had indicated this when making the reservation, and asked if she would still receive the same birthday experience if we ordered a different dessert. I was clearly told that if we ordered any dessert (even if not the sundae), she would get the full birthday experience. Only if we skipped dessert entirely would it be just a scoop of ice cream with a single candle. We ordered dessert, a chocolate cake and a milkshake. When dessert came out, two waiters brought it over with a single candle, sang a quick "Happy Birthday," and immediately walked away. No music. No sign. No announcement. No celebration. Nothing that made my daughter feel special. It was extremely underwhelming, especially after what we were explicitly told and after watching multiple other birthday tables (including the one right across from us and a group of girls nearby) receive the full experience with music, lights, and multiple staff members. Beyond that, the food itself was very disappointing. My daughter, who was dressed head-to-toe in pink, was so excited to order the Pink Princess sliders. When they arrived, they were completely tan. She kept saying, "Mom, these aren't pink." To make matters worse, the table next to us ordered the rainbow sliders, which looked exactly like the photo. If you have a child excited about the pink burger, be warned, it does not look anything like the menu image. We left feeling like we paid a lot of money purely for the location and name. The food was lackluster, the service was poor, and the biggest disappointment was that my daughter's birthday was completely overlooked. This is not something our family gets to do often. We saved for months for this trip and this dinner, and for it to turn out this way was incredibly sad and frustrating. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, and not one I would recommend for a special occasion.
Went here on Christmas so it was a bit packed and we didn't have a reservation. I got the fish n chips and the batter was really gooey still and our food did take a long time to get here. Also the waiter didn't come until 15 minutes after we sat down. I also got the french onion soup and it lacked flavor and tasted watered down. The place itself was cute and prices were expensive but theres worse out there. Theres a wing stop next door.
Surprisingly delish!! I wasn't expecting much from the food since I thought it was more for the ambiance but I was wrong. My app and entree were yummy. Streak frites had lots of flavor (ribeye), the fries was soggy. If the fries were crunchy, it would have been 10/10!! Our server was prompt and professional. While dining, there were 3 birthdays celebrations going on so expect loud and lively music to be played. It was a fun experience!
We loved our experience! The place is so photogenic from the atmosphere to the food and drinks themselves! The decor is awesome and great news the food is actually really good too! The rainbow sliders didn't taste funny from the color and the rainbow pancakes were to die for! We ordered from the seasonal menu and had the Smokey skull drink to share and it was so so yummy! We also had the seasonal vanilla shake and cookies and cream shake and truly it was just so delicious. We also ordered a Frankenstein burger and a sugar factory club sandwich and both were savory and yummy! The service was friendly and fast. We came back twice in two days it was so good and fun for the whole family :)
As always there was a wait to get a table. This is particularly strange because sure there is always half of the restaurant is always empty. The wait was about 20 minutes around 4 pm on a Sunday. Once seated the wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out in a timely manner and the menu was huge! Although they focus a lot of the menu on drinks and desert, the food options they have are tasty and offer something for everyone. We had a chance in our schedule and had to end our meal early. The server was accommodating and quick in getting us out and everything wrapped up. We've always had a good experience after the ridiculous wait to get in. Plenty of opportunities for photos. Lots of mirrors, light up signs and photo opportunistic spots with cute chairs and back drops. If you're at Foxwoods, make a reservation. It is a fun atmosphere, fun foods, and delicious deserts!
Okay so I'm going to give this restaurant some grace only because of what I ordered lol. One of my favorite meals to order at any restaurant is chicken and waffles. Yes it's a very simple meal and also stereotypical but whenever I see this on a menu, I'm always going to jump to the decision of ordering that.....literally every single time lol! There are places where I have eaten some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had (Amy Ruth's in Harlem, NY) and then there's places where I've had some of the worst chicken and waffles......Sugar Factory being one of them. The waffles were very soft and usually I like my waffles with a little crunch. The chicken tenders that accompanied the waffles weren't the best. The biggest issue with this was that it was $30.00 and I don't think that was worth $30.00. My girlfriend ordered the salmon salad and liked it. We also ordered the giant non alcoholic Mai tai which was amazing but it was $47.00. Not to complain about the price but just know that when you come here you'll be paying more for the presentation and not the food. But if I were you guys, I'd go and try other things there because to be honest I don't think it's fair to say the whole restaurant is bad just because they can't make chicken and waffles. They probably have other things on the menu that are pretty good but if you're a chicken and waffles connoisseur like myself, you will be very very disappointed. If you take the chance at ordering this dish, try ordering the waffles with bone in chicken and maybe the experience will be a little better especially if you like your waffles soft. But the Mai tai was the highlight of the night for sure and it was served with all types of yummy treats inside the drink and along the rim of the glass. The presentation and aesthetic is their primary focus though!
I had a wonderful birthday lunch here! I started off with a watermelon martini bowl they came out with dry ice bubbling and fizzing. The drink was excellent. My friend enjoyed his chocolate martini as well! I ordered a waffle burger and he got a cheeseburger. Both burgers were enormous! Mine had waffles for the bun which were crispy and delicious. we both agreed that the food was very good. Our waitress was a doll, and put up with the long amount of time it took us to figure out what we wanted. The drink menu is extensive and so is the food menu! We were wowed by the service at this particular location. This is the first time I've frequented a Sugar Factory at night and it was a blast. It's a loud and exciting party all night long. Every time someone orders a King Kong sundae or has some other celebration, the lights go down, they blast the music, and then the lights start flashing and all the servers dance and celebrate while delivering the sundae. Our server Jaime was incredibly friendly and was a great addition to celebrating my sister's bachelorette party. The drinks are pricey. I ordered a regular margarita and was sticker shocked at $18. That's a bit high even for the location. The goblet drinks that come with the dry ice novelty are $37 and consist mostly of sugar and less of alcohol. Honestly, I recommend ordering a bottled beer and getting your drinks somewhere else. The food was mediocre though not unexpected as the focus is on the sweets and the novelty. *Rainbow Sliders are ok - a bit dry. I had to dip into ketchup to eat. You do get to keep the rubber ducky with purchase. *Chicken & Waffles - my sister lived down south for several years so she's a tough critic on this southern staple. Her take was that the fried chicken was incredibly bland and missing the spice that helps to offset the sweetness from the syrup. *Chicken Alfredo - two people at our table ordered and remarked that it was one of the best Alfredo dishes they've ever had. *Waffle Burger - only order this if you're not going for dessert. It's huge and filling. Lastly, the King Kong sundae. We ordered a half size because we only had 6 people in our party. We didn't even make a dent after we all enjoyed a bowl full of ice cream and toppings. But the King Kong sundae isn't about the ice cream, it's about the adventure and excitement of the celebration. Boy howdy have I had a busy few weeks. Plenty of traveling around and life events and things that just make it difficult to have the time to write reviews. But despite it all, I knew I'd reverse course to make to sure I pen a bunch of write ups including my generally solid experience at Sugar Factory at Foxwoods. This was back at the end of June where my fiancée and parents had a reservation (thanks Open Table!) for dinner. Despite living in New York (not far from the city), this was my first time in Sugar Factory. I had heard about their massive fish bowl drinks plenty of times with no personal experiences just yet. Though before we dive in (fish bowl pun?), I'll say the ambiance of SF is anything but a factory. There's an odd combination of classy style with rap/R&B music blasting that creates a unique feel. Sort of like a party with your pinky out (ya know, while you sip your drinks). Back to the drinks...yep, those fish bowls. They have a full page of different varieties, though unfortunately a few weren't available due to some ingredients not being in stock. Even so, my fiancée and I were able to settle on a strawberry margarita fish bowl (yeah, we shared this thing!). The little dry-ice-pouring-show is pretty cool as are the gummies you can consume amidst the liquid. And luckily, for the price of the thing, you'll get your money's worth of the alcohol packing a punch. But I'll give Sugar Factory props for being about more than just the Insta-worthy drinks. Their food wasn't half bad either. The crispy onion rings and creamy spinach artichoke dip were great starters. My fiancée had a delicious chicken sandwich with avocado while my Big Cheesy burger (compete with mac and cheese, bacon, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce) was full of flavor, albeit a little rich in taste to completely get through. Even so, a quality meal from crazy drink starts to food finishes. Overall, Sugar Factory at Foxwoods Casino is pretty legit. It may come off as more of a party atmosphere (which works well in a casino) so if you're looking for a quiet, intimate meal then this wouldn't be for you. Want to have a little fun? This is your spot. Even if you're just in need of some grub and none of those infamous fish bowl drinks, you can still warrant coming here for the food. Took the kids here as a surprise and while they were thrilled (of course); the pragmatic and judgmental side of me was far less impressed. I remember coming to Foxwoods years ago and there was a line to get into Sugar Factory and it was THE place to be. Seemingly not so much anymore. I'd made a reservation for 9:30pm but we ended up running ahead of schedule. Upon visual inspection, the restaurant was mostly empty so unsurprisingly they were able to seat us at 8:45. We had two orders of the Chicken and Waffles, the beef sliders and Strawberry Shortcake waffles. The kids each got one goblet plus the Cookie Monster shake. The chicken with the waffles was standard from the bag frozen tenders and the waffles were luke warm. The sliders were good and the ridiculously food colored buns is a funny touch. I was actually amazed the kids finished the goblet drinks, especially one that was alcoholic. Had to coax them with chants of 'chug chug chug' and then they all still had the wherewithal to get Fondue for dessert. That said, I was pestered multiple times by those annoying fruit flies at our table, had to constantly ask for water refill and oftentimes the waiter just outright disappeared for great lengths of time. I should also be very clear to point out it was NOT busy. I'd estimate 20% occupancy while we were there. The restaurant also is in poor condition in my opinion, food on the floors and under adjacent tables. The mirrors on the walls were streaked and filthy and hadn't looked windexed in years. Our table had a grimy film on it and the men's room was downright deplorable. (The ladies also indicated the women's bathroom was equally 'gross'). Additionally, I had wanted to get an Espresso and we were told the coffee machine was broken (which reminded me of how the ice cream machine seems to always be 'not working' at a McDonald's) I guess I'm also struggling with quantifying how one drink costs what would normally be a bar tab for two of us at most other venues. $288 for six people (including tip) seemed pretty outrageous and two of us didn't actually order any food. Definitely a once and done visit for me but I guess it's still the place to go for crazy drinks and extravagant desserts. read more

And, I will say this, we had sandwiches that were good and decently priced. Chicken tenders and Mac and cheese? Not so much. Service was great! Place was cute and overlooks the zip line, which is cool! Had lunch with friends on a Monday early afternoon. First time at the Sugar Factory and probably my last. The restaurant is flashy with large chandeliers throughout. Menu offered appetizers, salads, sandwiches and a few entree choices. Desserts were primarily for 2 people with one that served 12 and came with sparklers. A lot of drink options made this more of an adult dining experience than kid friendly. We ordered the signature burger, Buffalo chicken sandwich and grilled cheese sandwich(all came with fries). The burger and grilled cheese were good, the Buffalo patty chicken looked and tasted liked it was pre-packaged straight from the freezer to the fryer. The fries were crispy and nicely seasoned. We started with specialty drinks large enough to share. They were a bit pricy at $37 each. Drinks were served over dry ice which looked impressive. Overall the meal was ok, drinks good and bill quite expensive for lunch. read more

Tell me the waitress has no kids without telling me. Listen the rubber ducks cute and all, but if you're gonna bring one out on a plate of sliders, when there's two little kids, bring two. Worse was after my wife asked the host as we were leaving about getting a second. The hostess went and asked the waitress(Kaylee?) who then went to the table, picked up the check to check the tip, and clearly wasn't satisfied as she turned to the hostess and said "yeah it's $4.00 for one". Haha ok cool story, $150 bill and you want to try to charge for an extra rubber duck you give out free, not to worry we bought him one elsewhere. Food for the price also is absurdly crap. The sliders meat looked as rubbery as the duck. My burger was a cheesy smashed burger, to which in fairness I was told cheese comes melted all over it, I never once thought she meant they dumped liquid cheese on top of the buns, making it impossible to eat like a......well burger. Kayleigh also was so busy checking her tip amount, rather than looking at the table to realize a shake was left behind by our very young son(well and us of course). For the prices at this price, I'd say no. We are last weekend at Hells Kitchen, the price points the same, but the food is two different universes. read more

i'd say - don't come for the food; eat elsewhere and just come for drinks and dessert! the food is just okay; the dessert is amazing! very cute ambiance. I had french onion soup and salmon salad. both were fine; nothing to write home about. the cookie jar sundae was awesome! fondue was good but i probably wouldn't order it again as i didn't love the melted chocolate, cheesecake or red velvet cake that came with it. brownies in the fondue were delicious. i'd definitely come again for some huge desserts! read more

Service was excellent, I'm really sorry I forgot our waitress name but she was really nice. Food was good. Mac and cheese bites for appetizer were delicious , five out of five , my daughter and husband had the classic burger and while they gave the burger a solid 3 out of five stars, the fries were very tasty! My quesadilla was a 3 and my son's Cajun pasta was a 4. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and I loved the ambiance. A couple people were celebrating birthdays the same day and the servers were coming around and singing happy birthday very softly. Very different from all the social media posts that show elaborate dancing and high energy singing. We still had a great time! Drink wise the fun non alcoholic drink was good and it was really nice that they serve a nice big scoop of ice cream with lots of whipped cream for the birthday person. We had no wait going in for lunch on a Saturday. I still recommend making reservations just in case, as this place does pick up. The burger was really good, just very heavy on the stomach and messy. Definitely had to clean up my face/hands after that as it got everywhere with each bite. Our waitress asked if we would like to take a video before pouring for the special smoke show. She was really nice and I love that the goblets come as Non-alcoholic. Still find it pretty pricy for non-alcoholic, but I wanted to give it a try. The milkshake they forgot the brownie on top, but she just brought it out on a side plate to let us know. I love the huge variety of different combos they have for food and drinks om the menu. This location is inside the casino. There are parking garages that have an elevator to bring you to this level. Not too far from the elevator where it drops you off depending on which parking garage you're in. read more

Decided to give this place another try. Again, love the decor, super cute! Just very understaffed and slow service. Nobody was working the gift shop attached to the restaurant. We had a reservation which was apparently given away. We had to wait for another table. And then wait for a server because they were short. Food is average and not worth it at all. The pictures of the celebs on the wall keep the hype up. It's a shame because it's a really cute place and has a lot of potential. It just really went downhill from when it first opened. read more

We went to have an app and cocktails. We sat at the bar. Overall it was a fun experience and I would probably go back. For the price of the drinks I expected them to be stronger but they were actually quite weak. This was the biggest disappointment for me. For a $25 and $50 cocktails I expected to at least have a respectable amount of alcohol in them. They were good, just really really weak. For the app we ordered the Bruschetta and that was very good and would order again. The atmosphere is very cool and fun. read more

I loved the sugar factory! The server was extremely nice and attentive. We ordered one of their specialty drinks which was very cool but absolutely delicious. We ordered the fried Mac and cheese to share and I got the salmon with asparagus. The Mac and cheese balls were so so good! I got the salmon with asparagus to be "healthy" but the salmon was a bit over cooked and too dry. The asparagus was tasty and good portion size. My partner got the firecracker shrimp stir fry was was delicious but way too spicy for our taste buds. I loved the energy in the restaurant and a lot of birthday celebrations which made it fun to watch. Overall, we had a good time! read more

This one was also on the food bucket list - so while in the area I decided to give it a try. Got a couple of over the top milk shakes. Presentation was great. Unfortunately taste was just average. Customer service was average as well. More expensive than it should've been, but expected that. Glad I get to check this off the list, but probably wouldn't return. read more
What an entertaining atmosphere! Whenever I pass by this, there is a line. I honestly thought it was just a gimmick restaurant with celebrities plastered as advertisements but I was corrected quickly. I made a reservation for my brother's birthday and was immediately seated for lunch. The waitress was very pleasant. The menu was overwhelming but I think we all managed to order a bit of everything from the menu to sample together. We were all satisfied. My sister's 1 year old couldn't wait to be fed, he grabbed the spaghetti from the plate with his bare hands and stuffed his tiny face. That was such a great ad moment on how tasty their food is. Special occasions are celebrated properly - loud music, directed attention, and well wishes from the waitresses banging on things and a sign held up high so that everybody knows! Beautiful interior but you definitely pay for it! Drinks are fun but very expensive, sugary, & full of ice. Server was not very helpful. Not friendly for large groups! Reservation was made & we were told our large group would have to split up. We were sat on opposite sides of the restaurant! Very upsetting after spending lots of money here. This was an amazing experience! The place was lit from the start so it made you just want to have fun as the food came in which was very delicious. The staff was super friendly and the food came out pretty quick which was great. The rainbow sliders took me back to the pretty patties from SpongeBob lol. I loved it and wish I had the secret recipe to replicate these at home. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to celebrate an event or just to experience this place for fun. read more

Horrible staff. Not a family friendly environment at all. They have zero inclusion. Avoid and do not go there with kids. It's not a kid friendly environment I will start by saying that it was never our intention to have this bad of a night when we left our room to have dinner. The problem began because we were asked to wake up our baby to take her out of her car seat /stroller convertible right from the beginning. We were out just trying to celebrate our kids birthday that we actually share with and instead ended up being verbally assaulted by management and staff. Resulting in getting kicked out for having to send burnt food and having seating preferences. THEY COMPLETELY PROFILED US !!! The waiter right at the beginning said I know you guys will be a problem. Who says that? Why? It was so sad to see having special needs kids in the mix, we could not even get a word out. We were completely mistreated got seated and then barely got service in retaliation for asking for a seating preference. Ignoring the reason we chose not to sit on the high traffic hall table was because our 9 year old get raddled because of his condition so to avoid him standing out of the table we said to please seat us in the back. That & for food not to be so poor in quality. THAT IS IT... It's when time passed & that is when we finally found out that the reason noone returned to our table was because we were being marked as unwelcomed and they kicked us out. NOT GIVING US A REASON OR EVEN TRYING TO UNDERSTAND OUR NEEDS... JUST KICKED OUT .... JUST LIKE THAT... FOR COMPLAINING THAT THE FOOD WAS BURNT?? We still want to know why. The crazy answer we got from the manager that refused to even speak to us was "we are privately owned and I do not need a reason to kick you out? What kind of manager is this reckless to say this? No one care in the world about customer experience or service in her dictionary. How ??? Why??? WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A CASE OF Mishandling A situation & extremely poor management. Very unprofessional as well when the chef also came out upset to voice that he was offended when we sent the bread back. Attended a birthday dinner at the Sugar Factory at the Foxwoods Casino. The restaurant attracts a lot of people so I would recommend reservations. Even at 430pm the line was long for those waiting for a table without having made a prior reservation. The atmosphere is fun, loud, and with many people having birthday celebrations be prepared for a few minutes of music, flashing lights, and singing several times throughout your dinner experience. The menus provided a nice selection of a variety of cocktails and food choices. I knew Sugar was known for their "goblet" style cocktails and liked that any could be ordered with or without alcohol. The other drink options on the menu all sounded delicious. I'd describe them as dessert in a glass. However, it would have been nice to have additional options of cocktails for those who do not want dessert before dinner. We ordered a goblet which had a great presentation; however, it was nearly impossible to finish due to the amount of ice and level of sweetness. The milkshakes were impressive and piled high with candy and treats with an added bonus being that half the glass was covered in chocolate and sprinkles. The food was reasonably priced and tasted good. Pictured below is the South Beach Flair burger topped with bacon, crispy food onions, and shrimp. While not horrible, the service and food quality leaves much to be desired. The staff were inattentive and unclear and the food was lackluster. The aesthetics give a "casino" feel with trendy backgrounds and photo-friendly food, but the flavor doesn't hit as well as the visuals. If you don't mind, then def. an ok place to experience the casino. Order the delicious wings, avoid the dry burgers and stale fries. We were at Foxwoods for a day filed with Bingo and decided to stop in at Sugar Cafe. There were actually not many people inside, which surprised me, but we gave it a try! When we first walked in, you could tell the place was very clean, which I appreciate. We started with a milkshake (of course) and got the Giggles Snickers Insane milkshake, which was amazing. I could eat it all day. To eat, I had the Big Cheesy, which is a burger with mac & cheese and it did not disappoint in the least bit. It was amazing! My boyfriend got the Signature Sugar Factory burger and that was outstanding as well. The price was a bit steep, which is the only factor that would keep us from going back regularly. read more

They do sing, not sure on add-on pricing but things are pretty pricey here
Does anyone know if they take walk-ins?
They do but if it's the weekend, it's really busy and you may have to sit at the bar. We were lucky and got a table after waiting 10 minutes.
Do you get to keep the cup thats 36$ orrr?
If you order a goblet you can purchase the cup for $10
