    Big TV for football outside

Banana chocolate stout good and different. Others had IPAs and said ok. Outside is small but they had a large TV with a clear screen for game. Not impressed by the food vendor. Not sure I would return as I prefer other breweries in the area.

I had been here back when it was Upshift, and I've got to say -- the beers are even better now under Sugar Monkey. I stopped by in August when a friend flew into LAX. We wanted to catch up over a couple of beers, and Sugar Monkey got the nod since parking's easy on the street and there's plenty of seating. We grabbed a table outside and had a great time. The brewery itself is spotless, and the beers are solid -- very drinkable across the board. The guy working the counter was super chill, took the time to explain the different styles, and just had an easygoing vibe that fit the place perfectly. I really liked Sugar Monkey and definitely need to come back soon to confirm it's as good as I think it is. For now, an easy 4.5 stars!

Have been here twice and each time I've loved it. watched the superbowl because we didn't feel like having a party ourselves. It was a great atmosphere and I love that it's family friendly. I don't drink much so it was nice to have non alcoholic options. I got the non alcoholic version of blood orange pomegranate seltzer and it was good. I think I've found one of my favorite place to spend a Sunday!

Excellent patio area with karaoke on Wednesday. Come sing and drink good tasting beers.

What a great spot this is. Really nice outside set up. We enjoyed the variation in beers, the chill vibe sitting outside was perfect for us. Met the owner he was really nice too. Highly recommend.

Great brewery that has a good amount of outdoor space in the back. Good for groups! They have a nice selection of beers and serve flights too. A lot of the beers that I had were perfect for the spring weather and easy to drink. They also have food trucks that rotate throughout the week. They don't have parking so you'll have to find some street parking unfortunately but it wasn't too bad when I went. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about their brews too!

We enjoyed the brewery and the bartender was really nice. There is good indoor and outdoor seating and they had a food truck/tent. The beer: A Cole Day in Helles (great) Pour Attendance New Zealand Pilsner (excellent) Intrusive Thoughts Hefeweizen (not a Hefe or dirty lines as it was new...tasted like a hazy IPA) Toxic Positivity dark lager (great)

There is a little bit for everyone here.. especially if you're a starting into beer, tasting or into seltzers

I stumbled upon this place on their last call. Last I remember this was downshift brewing Company formerly. I pulled up on a last-minute brewery, adventure, and stumbled upon this place after another. There was a taco catering service outside, which is good. The ambience is more than spacious and has heaters as well as mini bonfires. If you're in the El Segundo area, I urge you to try this place. It is a must. There's something for everyone as well as seltzers, strong, ales and IPAs. The servers were incredibly helpful and very sweet. It is a place I will definitely come back to.

Drinks, Food Trucks and Games. This place has everything to have the perfect hang out. They have billiards, ping-pong, foot soccer, mini golf stuff and more to entertain you and your friends. The have a good selection of beer so anyone can find something to thier liking. There are different food trucks at the location each day. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I went on a Weekday so there wasn't many people but I'm sure it gets busy on the weekends. I do recommend coming here if your are looking for something that checks off a fun atmosphere and good beer.

I had never walked into this establishment prior to last night because I do not drink alcohol and I thought there would be no reason. I stand corrected. We ordered a side of fries......perfect. My friend ordered the black garlic honey habanero chicken sandwich with green salad.....perfect. Really ample portions as well. Service was really stellar and totally in tune with the setting. Zane and Katie handled all of the diners with ease and a very pleasant helpfulness and kind spirit. Kudos to them. The ambience is definitely upbeat with your choice of sports on multiple big screens and so is a bit boisterous but not rowdy and there are retreats within the establishment which are a bit separate from the sports energy in the main dining area.. Well I got a "yeah" umm well it be nice if she could communicate this. Well I asked for menus and didn't get a very welcoming vibe. The gentleman that assisted us with our orders was kind and polite. Food was ok, not a huge fan. Beer selection was ok. We chose to do the wrist band where they charge for how much you pour but when we poured it was a lot of foam and we had to re pour which we get charged for that too. So wasn't a fan of that. Probably wouldn't visit again. Was really disappointed.

I really love Poké bowls for the fresh fish, the healthy aspect, but also that it has so many fun textures, colors, and flavors in it. The Poké bowl comes with a side of spicy mayo, and I didn't use a whole lot of it, but it did add a great flavor to the bowl. I paired it with a citrusy IPA (I don't remember the name of it because somebody else ordered the pitcher) and it was delicious. The service is always good whether I go with one other person or 8. The music is amazing, (I love quizzing the 20-something's to see if they know who the bands are when the videos come up). There are tons of things to look at (if you have younger kids, a lively game of I spy will keep them entertained long enough for the food to arrive and maybe even for you to eat). I don't understand why they don't actually play live music there except fine, I get it. The neighbors might protest at the noise levels. We will definitely be back and if they are an option at an airport or other destination, we often choose them first.

This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. The beer menu, as one would expect with "pint" in the name, is extensive with lots on tap and "guest" brewery selections. Lots of wines to choose from as well. Slice and Pint may be local to El Segundo (lucky El Segundonians!) But my experience with this one slice is that it would be worth the drive from anywhere in SoCal to eat here...If you love NYC-style thin slices...like real legitimate ones...charge up the car and get yourself there.

After finding a table, we went back up ready to order and the server responded pretty rudely: "Did you not hear what I said?" We ended up leaving and went to Japonica around the corner instead, where the service was much friendlier.

These plants appeared to have union representation. They're everywhere. Hanging from things. Growing out of things. Quietly observing your meal. The whole place feels like someone built a really nice restaurant and then let nature move in as a long term tenant. The room hums. Not loudly. Not aggressively. Just enough. Glasses clink. People lean into conversations. Servers weave through the room carrying plates that look heavy enough to alter their center of gravity. Nobody seems rushed. Everybody seems busy. It's a difficult balance. The biscuits arrived first. Now, I'd heard about the biscuits. People talk about these biscuits the way fishermen talk about the one that got away. Slightly dramatic. A little emotional. Hard to verify. Turns out the stories were true. Warm bacon cheddar biscuits with maple butter. I took one bite and immediately understood why people order a second round. The outside has just enough structure to remind you it's baked. The inside is soft enough to make you wonder whether butter has secretly become a building material. We ordered another. Not because we needed another. Because apparently that's what happens here. The creamy polenta showed up next and felt like the culinary equivalent of a weighted blanket. Comforting. Smooth. Relaxed. The sort of dish that encourages you to slow down and stop checking your phone. The duck was one of my favorites. Lightly fried with crisp skin and tender meat, resting on white Italian beans and rosemary. It felt like something a French chef would cook after spending a weekend in the countryside and becoming briefly inspired by fresh air. At some point you stop evaluating food and simply nod in agreement with it. This was one of those moments. Dessert was equally dangerous. The olive oil cake arrived with strawberries and disappeared much faster than logic suggested it should. The cheesecake somehow managed to be rich and light at the same time, which feels like it should violate a law of physics somewhere. Service deserves its own mention. The whole team operates like a group project where everyone actually did their part. Plates appeared when they should. Water glasses mysteriously refilled themselves. Questions were answered without anyone making you feel like you should already know the answer. The chef's French influence shows up everywhere, but not in a showy way. Nothing feels complicated for the sake of being complicated. Everything feels like somebody spent a lot of time thinking about it so you wouldn't have to. By the end of the meal, I realized Manhattan Beach Post had done something difficult. It felt special without feeling serious. You can dress up. You can come casually. You can celebrate something important or absolutely nothing at all. Just order the biscuits. The plants already know you're going to.

Some dishes could've been executed better. Going down the list of dishes I had here: - Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits: These were more like scones rather than biscuits. Crunchy with good bacon and cheddar flavor. - Japanese Hamachi Crudo: Unique and I liked the citrusy flavor and creamy texture. However, 3 small slices of fish for $26 was overpriced. - Leafy Greens & Radicchio: Solid and crispy salad with a nice tangy dressing. The cheese also added a lot of sharp flavor which was nice. - Skirt Steak: Good flavor and char, but a bit tough. Also some dry pieces. - Chilean Sea Bass: Lemon orzo risotto was creamy and delicious. The sea bass itself was okay, nothing special. It felt overpowered by the risotto. The fish was moist and flaky though. - 20 Oz Prime Beef Ribeye: Quality was subpar relative to price. Portion size was solid by the steak itself was inconsistent. Some of the pieces were rarer while others were more well-done even though we asked for medium rare. There were also some dry pieces which I did not like. Flavor was good though. - Strawberry and Olive Oil Cake: Was confused since there was just a thin layer of cake, but realized the title also referred to the mousse. I would title it 'Strawberry Mousse with Olive Oil Cake" to make it less confusing. Regardless, this was a delicious dessert! Love the fruity strawberry and savory pistachio flavors as well as the smooth textures. - S'mores sundae: Got this on the house for my aunt's birthday. A generous portion but the components were a bit too sweet for my liking. I visited this restaurant for a birthday that I organized and my experience was overall good. Reservation was made easy using OpenTable and I could also mention it was for a birthday occasion. The ambiance was gorgeous with good mood lighting. Good for group and 1 on 1 dining. Parking is metered or street parking. Overall, I probably wouldn't come out of my way to dine here again, but my experience wasn't bad just not significant enough to put in my rotation. Would come back if someone treated me here though.
