    Theee meat breakfast burrito
    Michael A.

Finally got to try the burrito from the infamous Phannys the original one is in Redondo beach always a big line. We were lucky to see that it was not very busy. I'm super glad it was next to Offset coffee. The burrito was delicious and had meat in every bite!!

Was on my way to pick up some family from LAX and was craving a breakfast burrito. Phannys did not disappoint, however I wish they were a little more affordable for what I got. (I feel like I have higher burrito standards though since I'm from San Diego) I got the Carne Asada burrito and the veggie burrito for my mom. Both were really delicious. IMO, it's not your traditional Mexican breakfast burrito, it's more of a modern spin on it, using ingredients like hash browns etc. I actually prefer breakfast burritos this way. I honestly wish there was just more filling in the burrito, esp since it was $31 for both burritos after taxes. But I guess me wishing there was more filling is indicative of the fact that I really enjoyed it and am just wanting more, lol I ate it on the road so IDK about service (ordered on the phone as well). Ambiance was really simple. The store front was just 2 screens with the menu and a counter. Lol. I'll be back in the future tho!

Tried this fan fave and wanted to see what the hype was about. Staff were welcoming. The space is small, has a few bar stools inside but there is plenty of seating outside. I picked a carne asada burrito with extra carne. The tortilla was fresh! Super soft, Chewy and delicious. The carne was a bit underwhelming as it lacked flavor and salt. And I preferred crispier hash browns. I was a bit disappointed because I expected more flavor components but it wasn't a nasty burrito. I definitely needed more salsa than the little one they provided so I will get extra next time. I paid $20 for the burrito and it was a decent size compared to other popular breakfast burritos. I plan to return or try their other location to try another burrito and some of their other items as this location only sells burritos.

Not bad for my first visit here. I got the 3 meat burrito and it was delicious and definitely hit the spot. There was meat in every bite. Service is made to order but the wait was not long. Ambiance is pretty clean... nothing fancy... a menu, counter, and some stools. I would come back again!

Underwhelmed. Driving towards Manhattan Beach on Sepulveda, I noticed a bright neon breakfast burrito sign. Parked and saw it was the perfect compliment to a coffee shop next store. Dozens of customers had burritos and coffee in the outdoor seating area. Staff was friendly. Food was quick. Ingredients / Taste were average. Appreciated the option to mix bacon, ham and or sausage but that concept couldn't save this review. Highly unlikely to return, even if they offered me a burrito at half price.

I have ordered several breakfast burritos from Phanny's and, today, I am a fan. My first experience was unpleasant, though, as I am NOT a fan of their tomato salsa-soup mixture that was rather cold and tasted oh so watery. This is a default ingredient, so be sure to mark NO TOMATO if you, too, are not into tomato salsa-soup in your breakfast burrito. :) Otherwise, this place is simple, consistent and makes it easy to order online and come pickup. The interior is cozy with some seating. Phanny's is in a plaza near Offset Coffee, another personal fave and the other half of a dream breakfast. There are multiple locations, so make sure you're ordering from the El Segundo one and not the Redondo Beach location. Prices are reasonable, portions are decent, staff are efficient, and parking is readily available - all wonderful things in LA. Plenty of meat in the burritos, too.

I've heard so much about this place. I was in the area & stopped to try a breakfast burrito. Since it was my first time I had them cut it in half. I got the bacon without the salsa. It was AMAZING!! Now that I know how good it is my son and I can each get our own burritos. The staff was very friendly and our burrito took about 5 minutes. I will definitely be back. Lots of people coming in and out who ordered online or on the phone possibly. Great tasting affordable burrito with excellent service definitely recommend.

Phanny's does not disappoint. Surprisingly no line, no wait at 11am on a Saturday. There was also parking. It's clean and simple inside. Our order was ready in less than 5 minutes. My bacon burrito was bomb. Perfection in every bite of egg, bacon, cheese, hash brown, salsa. Definitely coming back to try the others!

I've been a long time fan of Phanny's in Redondo so I was excited to see a new and closer-to-me location in El Segundo. They are located in a small strip mall with Prime Pizza, Offset coffee, Blum, and El Pollo Inka. The inside of the place is small with only one table. There are some picnic tables outside but I think they belong to other businesses. I usually get the egg burrito and it always hits the spot. I've never tried their coffee but will do so next time I'm there. The egg burrito is 11.95 and packed full of egg, cheese, and taters. Service is quick and friendly. All in all, a great way to start the day.

It wasn't bad, it wasn't good, it's was just okay. Having read positive reviews from the original location as well as this newer location, I was in the area and wanted to continue on my breakfast burrito journey. The space is minimal, menu is easy and clear, the staff was friendly enough, and the prices are pretty reasonable. The burrito itself again was just decent. The tortilla was toasted but it could have been a little further as it still had the cold doughy taste. Pretty standard bacon, sausage, and eggs with minimal cheese. My biggest issue was that the hasbrowns weren't crispy enough and the overly wet salsa made things worse. I ate it on the tables outside so it didn't really sit for a while to be that mushy that quickly. Overall, nothing unique or distinct over any other greasy spoon or something you can make at home. Average is fine, I was just a little disappointed based on the other reviews. It's not worth a trip but there are options and conveniences in the same mini shopping area.

The bacon burrito had barely any egg in it, and there was a 3" hair cooked into the burrito. This has kinda ruined it for me.

The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

Too salty and just didn't hit the spot. Not sure if there is a new cook or they changed anything with the recipe, but I don't order it anymore. The food is solid. It's as tasty and well put together as I remember it to be. We started with the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits. I think these have been here since day one. They're FULL of lovely smoky bacon pieces and are at least 4" round! It's a pretty hearty appetizer. We quickly moved on to dinner, here's what the table ordered: Lobster & Sweet Corn Risotto - the risotto was cooked perfectly. Be sure to mix that poblano pepper butter in the middle up, it adds a great smoky chili flavor to each bite. My oinly complaint about this dish is that they used claw meat. I'm just not a fan of lobster claw, it's too gelatinously rubbery for me. Skirt Steak - Oooo, this was medium rare to perfection. The smoked paprika chimichurri gave a burst of flavor and a mild heat at the back of my throat. Chilean Sea Bass - Chilean sea bass always cuts like buttah! 2 people ordered this at our table and I'm pretty sure they loved it, that side of the table was pretty silent for 15 - 20 mins. Pork Porterhouse - This dish had the most flavor. The spaetzle was cooked and browned on the griddle, it had a fantastic crispy crust. It was a little on the salty side BUT I think 's because it needed more carbs to tame the salt. For me, it would have been PERFECT with a little rice or mashed potatoes or creamed sunchokes. Parking still sucks in MB but right behind the restaurant is a parking garage that's free after 6 pm.

I don't know, but this place had a big menu and decent reviews so we chose to hit up this spot. The vibes in here were super laid back. There was only one woman who we saw working which was also the hostess and everyone else's server, which was just us and another woman to tables away from us. We had a difficult time choosing something to order since the menu was so diverse. Everything from croffle ice cream, to clam chowder, to a full Thai menu. I saw banh mi on the menu and instantly knew I had to order it since I've never tried it before. So, I ordered the chicken meatball banh mi sandwich with a side salad (removing the jalapeño and spicy mayo). My friend ordered a Thai iced coffee and the pineapple curry. The food came out relatively quickly. My friend enjoyed her Thai iced coffee, but she said she wished she'd ordered the Thai tea instead. She also really liked her pineapple curry, and it came out piping hot. I tried it and it was super spicy, so not for me, but she really enjoyed it. My banh mi sandwich was interesting. Right off the bat, it was 75% bread. The bread wasn't bad. In fact, it was chewy and not tough to tear into, but the sandwich itself was mostly bread. There were only like three meatballs in the sandwich, which were cut in half, and I feel like there wasn't anything special about the meatballs. If I was blindfolded, I would think they were the Great Value frozen meatballs in a bag from Walmart. The pickled cabbage was nice though, even if the mixture made the entire bottom of the sandwich soggy af (but I like soggy bread so it was fine with me). I tore most of the bread off and left it on the plate. The side salad dressing also spilled onto the sandwich and contributed to the soggy bread. Now that I'm looking at the photo I took of the sandwich, there wasn't much cilantro on there at all. The pickled cabbage was at the very bottom buried in between all the bread.
