I've enjoyed sugared and bronzed for years (since 2014 to be exact) and recently feel so disappointed as through the pandemic I stacked up additional membership credits without going in to use them. I'm now being told I can't use them without my membership being active, therefore adding to my already unused sugaring's that have been paid for. If you ask me, this is bad business 1000% over - instead they want me to use the credit on other services pay more money! super disappointed And kind of disgusted. read more

I have been coming to to S&B for a couple of months. I have always had a great experience until today. I walked in and was late for an appointment and they would not take me even though 3 girls were standing at the desk. They said I had 10 min and I entered at 11min. It can be a bit difficult to find parking in that area and then I had to wait to cross the street. So it took me a minute to get inside. I unfortunately will not return. read more

Love how the sugar wax is a natural alternative to traditional waxing and not as harsh. My skin is super sensitive and hates when I shave, but the day after getting my first Brazilian my skin is calming down and not showing that much irritation! I also really appreciated how thorough Alyssa was with waxing down there. Sometimes the inside area is missed/not done, according to my friends, but she was incredibly attentive and careful to redo areas as needed and let me know there were a few stray hairs that could be plucked but don't have to be. I had my first spray tan back in August and I didn't know what to expect, but wow Sugared + Bronzed blew me away! Location: This is a great location near Brentwood, Westwood and Santa Monica. I love that they are open until so late and that it is pretty easy to get an appointment. Overall, very clean and comfortable space. The Spray Tan: I did the express tan because I had plans the next day and it turned out great! I came out looking a little too unnatural, but I followed the instructions and after two showers it faded perfectly. I even went in the pool the next day and it didn't affect it all. The tan lasted for about 4-5 weeks during the summer. My only issue was that I had really dark spots on my chest for some reason, so now I know to prep that area better next time. It also smells a little bit, but I was expecting that. Service: Very fast, but personalized service. The process was pretty quick (less than 20 mins). I was uncomfortable at first, but the person who did my spray tan talked me through the whole process and made sure she knew what I wanted and that I was happy with the results. They are also super friendly over the phone and in person! Price: The only downside is that it is a little pricey, but you get your money's worth. I haven't tried it yet, but on their website you can book services with trainees for $5. They also offer new member deals and I've gotten some email promos! This place is great and I will definitely be back! read more

I have been sugared here once and my sugarist missed some spots but I let it go. The next time I made an appointment the staff was incredibly rude and stuck up. I even talked to the manager of the location who was equally as stuck up. I am actually quite surprised at how many 5 starts this location has as I am not the only one who feels this way. I would much rather go out of my way to a location 30-40 minutes away to know that I got great service and that my sugaring was 12/10. Stay away from this location. read more

This is hands down the best place to get a Brazilian. I have been here twice now and each time the hair grows back thinner thanks to the sugaring technique they use. It's not painless but the sugaristas are very patient and gentle and both have made me feel very comfortable. I honestly had a really wonderful experience here. They made the process of getting a beautiful bronzed glow so easy and so simple, I don't think I will ever use self tanner ever again - it's too much of a hassle! I was looking for a place to get an airbrush tan as opposed to a machine spray tan for my cousins wedding, and sugared and bronzed was one of the few places that stuck out to me. I called to make an appointment, and was given one easily. I've read some reviews of people complaining about not being able to book appointments, but I didn't seem to have that problem. They sent me 3 text reminders before the day of my appointment, which was really helpful. When I arrived I parked on the street right next to the salon. The place itself is so clean and pretty inside and out, which is a plus for me because cleanliness is the first thing I look for in any place I'm going to for cosmetic purposes. I was greeted by the staff who were all very friendly and explained to me the difference between the standard or express tan. You will have to sign a quick few waivers when you get there, but it doesn't take too long. I opted for the standard tan as opposed to the express tan, because I needed to be somewhere afterwards and wouldn't be able to shower within the 1-4 hour limit that they advise after an express tan. With the standard tan, you can shower 10 hours after. You can choose from a #1-4 tan, #1 being the lightest and #4 being the darkest. I opted with #2 because I did want some more color, but wasn't sure how it would look on my skin. I am very pleased to say the least, and might even try #3 in the future. I was taken into one of the rooms and given instructions prior to my tan. You can go full nude if you don't want any panty or bra lines, but if you're not comfortable with that then you can wear whatever clothing you are comfortable with. They move you into a room with a shower and the technician gives you instructions from there and will do the airbrush for you by hand. My girl was very sweet and made sure multiple times that I was even and didn't have any missed spots or streaks. Afterwards, they hand you a machine and let you dry yourself in any areas that feel wet. Then, you can put on your clothes, pay, and leave! I would advise wearing baggy or flowy clothes so you can give the tan time to adhere to your skin without sticking to tight clothing. Also, wear sandals so its easy to take off and put back on. For new customers, you get 2 tans for the price of one, which is amazing! They did tell me that there are some block out dates, and to double check with them on those when calling in to schedule another appointment. I use to self tan at home before big events, and after coming here I feel like that was the biggest waste of my time because going here would have been so much easier and simpler. I didn't have to think about anything and I let them do the hard work for me. read more
