Ordering the pancakes are a no brainer - they are light, fluffy, and jiggly in all the right ways. I've tried the Matcha, Fruit, and Mango pancakes and they are all amazing. I don't have a favorite because they are all so tasty. I also recently tried the Japanese Style Mushroom & Bacon Noodles and I can't wait to go back soon and order them again. The bacon was sliced in fatty little chunks and complemented the mushrooms and noodles. I highly recommend this dish. Parking here is all street parking and can be difficult especially on the weekends. Also be aware that they recently blew up on viral social media videos and it has caused their waits to be extra long and unpredictable. When I came they told me and my party 45 mins and it took 2.5 hours...I was with a friend from out of town so we waited cause I wanted them to try Takagi but the extra long wait was really annoying.

Will try to go back again soon. Loved the ambiance and their impeccable service.

The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and inviting. As each dish arrived at our table, we couldn't help but admire the presentation. It was absolutely stunning. We ordered the shrimp pasta, mushroom pizza, avocado dip, and banana bread, and every single dish was delicious. The flavors were fresh, well balanced, and beautifully executed. You can truly tell they put great care into both the food and the presentation. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. This is definitely a place I'll be coming back to. If you're in Larchmont Village and looking for great food, beautiful presentation, and exceptional service, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!

I enjoyed my matcha latte (with oat milk!) and the banana bread is a generous portion. Having come here in the morning, I like the coziness, but the seats are close together and I know during lunch/dinner the noise level is much louder.

You definitely get your money's worth, and it's easy to see why this place is so popular. Whether you're craving something sweet or savory, it's hard to go wrong here. The quality of the food alone makes it a place I'd come back to. The ambience was lively and energetic, creating a fun brunch atmosphere. The restaurant had a constant buzz from how busy it was, making it feel like a popular local spot. While it could get a little loud during peak hours, the vibrant environment added to the overall experience and made it feel like a place people genuinely enjoy visiting. The service, however, was the biggest downside of our visit. While the restaurant was busy, the staff didn't seem very attentive or welcoming. It took a while to get checked on, and it often felt like we had to flag someone down when we needed something. The overall service felt rushed and a bit unorganized, which didn't match the quality of the food. Overall, I'd still recommend The Griddle Cafe because the food was outstanding and easily deserves a 5/5. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and if the service becomes more consistent, this would easily be one of my favorite brunch spots.

She specifically said she was looking forward to that feeling of the milkshake and then the extra that frosts up the cold metal blender cup and never all fits in one glass that they serve on the side. So we sit at the counter and we watched the guy make the milkshake, and he very proudly serves us the glass, and then we watch him go and pour the remainder from the metal cup into another smaller glass and disappear with it into the kitchen, presumably to drink himself. This is a $9 milkshake, and we only got about 2/3 of the container. I was disappointed and annoyed, but then this happened: a totally different server came over and said hey, it's late, and we have some loaves of bread left. Do you wanna take a loaf? Take your pick of type. So we left the place holding a beautiful loaf of seeded sourdough bread. So .... would I recommend this place? It's a tossup. Nine dollars is a lot for half a milkshake. But they know their way around a loaf of sourdough..
