Great White Breakie and Dirty Mini Martini

The restaurant was not busy or crowded yet there was a significant wait time before the server came to take my order. After the order was taken, things seems to have moved along with the food coming out in a reasonable amount of time. Simple mistake but noticeable. There was no salt at the table. Other tables had salt and pepper present, and it's not an establishment that requires that you intentionally ask for seasoning. I would've asked for salt but the waiter did not check on me at any point during my meal. Nice location in Larchmount though with a spacious patio along the sidewalk.

I've been to Great White a handful of times now, their food is pretty consistent. Not pictured was the Tremendous Burger and Margarita Pizza we ordered from a previous visit. Service is quick and servers are very kind to accommodate all group sizes. Ambiance gives Tulum vibes, and it can get noisy depending on the time of day when they're busy.

So so tasty. Eggs ever so slightly salty but not overpowering. Not pictured: also got a smoothie that paired perfectly with this. Food was slightly pricey for what you get but definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. Went on a weekend, probably waited an hour; just walked around and dilly dallied til the table was ready. Outdoor seating didn't feel crowded or too loud. Service was quick afterwards. And they were helpful picking something for us to try!

First time coming here and my friends and I really liked it! We wanted to come back the next day but unfortunately, our trip had to end. We walked in as a party of 6 on Friday afternoon and were seated near the windows. The sun started beaming down on us so we asked if it was possible to move more inside the restaurant. The staff checked and helped us move to a better table! The food came out pretty fast and we all finished our food. Everything was delicious! The drinks were also good and aesthetically presented. This spot is definitely going to be a place we'll stop at again when we're back in LA!

Had lunch here with a colleague a few months back but it seems it was around the same time the restaurant got into some negative press for allegations of discrimination. I didn't notice anything untoward during my visit so I can't comment on that. Lunch was delicious though pricey. Given the location, it's what I expected.

Been here several times and it keeps growing on me. The host can be a bit much sometimes, always acting busy, but once you're seated it's a great experience. Indoor seating has that Tulum vibe--chandeliers, music, really nice energy. Now that it's warming up, the patio is also a solid move. Food is consistently good. We always get the burger--it's one of the best. This time we tried the crispy chicken and wow... sweet, spicy, super underrated. Got ranch with it and it was a perfect combo. Also tried their pizzas--really solid, and they have gluten-free options. Ivan was our waiter, super nice, and the food came out fast. We were in and out in like 30 minutes (we do eat fast though). Definitely coming back for the burger and to try more of the menu.

The space itself felt like a Tulum restaurant in LA. Service was great and attentive. Food was yummy and had a Spanish flare.

Something about the pancakes really stood out--I'm glad I gave them a try! The Chantilly cream was amazing. That said, it felt a bit off that they were priced the same as a breakfast burrito... they're still just pancakes. I did appreciate that they let me sub avocado for bacon at no extra charge, especially since they don't offer any non-pork breakfast meats. The matcha, unfortunately, was a miss--bitter and watery. Wouldn't recommend it. Service was good overall, but I was surprised by the suggested tip amounts: 20%, 22%, and 25%--a bit high for the minimal service we received during a quick lunch for five. Everyone enjoyed their food, though, and the space has a rustic Mediterranean/Tulum vibe. Very cute inside. Parking is tough, and the nearby lots charge, but even with how busy it was, we were seated quickly. I would come back.

Amazing brunch and lunch spots in Larchmont Village. We found street parking that was free for two hours and relatively easy to find as well. The weather was great the morning we went and we enjoyed the walk over to the restaurant as well as Larchmont Village in general. A beautiful street lined with lots of shops and cafes. Arriving at Great White, we did not reserve ahead of time. However, it was pretty early in the morning (right before their 11 AM lunch service began) so we got seated immediately. Our server and the hostess were both incredibly kind and attentive. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, a very cozy and warm vibe. We ordered the breakfast burrito, swim club, chicken sandwich, and avocado toast. Everything on the menu looked delicious so we had a hard time choosing. The breakfast burrito was delicious and the perfect portion for breakfast. The swim club was a much larger portion with two halves of a hearty sandwich as well as fries. It is more suited for a full lunch meal rather than a lighter breakfast. The avocado toast had bread that was very crispy and a little bit hard to cut, but the avocado was very generous and well seasoned. Overall, highly recommend this brunch spot for some amazing interior decor, atmosphere and great food.

Shrimp pasta, lovely. Fresh bucatini, herbs and very crusty breadcrumbs. The hostess sat me almost immediately, at the bar per request. The waitress was less than attentive for a week night. Simple, beautiful and quaint aesthetic and the ambiance + outdoor seating is enough to see me again.

super nice little brunch spot! my mom, aunt and I came here for a cute day out with our dog and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. We sat outside on the benches since we had a pet with us-- a plus in my book because I'm able to people watch (lol). strawberry matcha was good, usually at brunch spots they're mediocre but i enjoyed the one here :). the food tasted yummy and fresh, loved everything we ate to be honest! The staff were so friendly and attentive. all of the people there are charismatic and personable Love the area that the restaurant is in, so many cute shops and things to do!! right next to salt and straw too if you are interested in a cold sweet treat afterwards.

Having dined at both Great White locations -- West Hollywood and Larchmont -- I can confidently say Larchmont is the stronger of the two, at least when it comes to food quality. There's a certain composure to this location that feels quintessentially Larchmont: an Aesop-esque "controlled cool," where the style is intentional but never try-hard. The interior design deserves its own applause. The space is wrapped in warm, beige-toned plaster that feels almost sun-baked, with softly rounded arches and recessed niches that give the room an airy, Mediterranean calm. It's equal parts Cycladic Greek island minimalism and coastal Spanish villa -- clean, understated, and effortlessly chic. The natural textures pair perfectly with the restrained color palette, creating a space that feels curated yet welcoming, like you've stumbled into a boutique hotel lobby somewhere along the Aegean. Even the bathrooms keep the aesthetic consistent, proving the design intent is thought through from start to finish. The menu has its hits and misses, but when it's good, it's very good. Over multiple visits, I've worked my way through the smoked salmon pizza, Margherita pizza, crispy chicken wings, brussel sprouts, shrimp pasta, bolognese, shaken iced latte with cold foam, and matcha latte. The pizzas hold their own. The Margherita does exactly what you want a Margherita to do -- solid crust, balanced tomato-to-mozzarella ratio -- but the standout is the smoked salmon pizza. Generous layers of silky salmon drape over a crisp yet tender base, accented by bright, herby notes and just enough tang from the cream cheese-like spread to keep things lively. It's indulgent without feeling heavy. The brussel sprouts are another highlight -- perfectly charred with a savory-sweet glaze that hits all the right notes, though a touch less salt would let the other flavors shine more. On the flip side, the pasta program here leaves much to be desired. The shrimp pasta reads flat, as if it forgot to show up to its own flavor party, and the bolognese, while perfectly serviceable, lacks the depth and richness that makes the dish memorable elsewhere. Given how inventive the rest of the menu can be, I'd love to see them lean into more creative, fusion-inspired pasta offerings. Case in point: the crispy chicken wings. On paper, they look standard, but the first bite tells a different story. The skin has that shatteringly crisp texture reminiscent of great Korean fried chicken, and the glaze -- a bright, slightly sweet, gently spicy sauce with whispers of yuzu and ginger -- transforms them into something special. Bonus points for the unexpected dumpling-like filling tucked into the meat, which adds another layer of intrigue. Drink-wise, the shaken iced latte with cold foam (oat milk only) is outstanding -- frothy, creamy, and so balanced you'll be thinking about it hours later. The cold foam is non-negotiable; it's what takes the drink from good to "worth coming back for." The matcha latte, however, is just fine -- not bad by any means, but nothing to write home about. You're better off going to a dedicated matcha shop if that's what you're craving. Service matches the ambiance -- attentive, friendly, and refreshingly unpretentious. All told, Great White Larchmont is a place I keep returning to, not because it's flawless, but because when it hits, it makes the kind of food and drinks you can't stop thinking about.

Ask the Community - Great White

Reservations are required or walk ins are welcomed?

They are not required but recommended since it's so popular.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Only if they're white.

Can I bring my wine? How much is your coarkage?

Only white wine is served here. The corkage fee depends on where you're from. No, where you're really from. Wink wink.

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes but unfortunately Asians are not.

How's the parking at the Great White or nearby? Thanks!

There is street parking but during busy times it's full. There are two public parking lots a block away on both sides of the street. Cost isn't too bad but if you park in the underground parking it closes at 9:00 so pay attention to that. Enjoy!

    Beer & wine?

    Yes!

    Do you guys except walk-in?

Yes they do... We had a party of 9 on Sunday for brunch, without reservations and we were told the wait would be about 40 minutes. Fortunately, our wait ended up being less than 30.

Do they take reservations for brunch?

    What time does brunch end?

    3PM

What kind of cooking oil do you use?

We decided to get a drink to celebrate Father's Day, only to strike out at the first two bars we tried--I guess a lot of places are closed at 9:30 on a Sunday. This is how we ended up at Thunderbolt, a buzzy bar in Echo Park, just far enough away that we'd never made our way over. I loved it immediately. Thunderbolt has the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and the hip aesthetic and high-level cocktails of a millennial boozer destination. (Not that young people can't or shouldn't hang out here, but it seems especially geared toward people like us, who drank at Walker Inn a decade ago.) We ended up sitting next to a guy who regularly drives up from Palos Verdes. I guess the place gets pretty busy, but it was ideal on a Sunday night. Happening but not crowded, with just enough space at the bar for us to grab two seats together. The bartender was great, super helpful and welcoming. He also made excellent drinks. Thunderbolt is one of those bars with an encyclopedic illustrated book for a menu. Not a long menu, just a detailed one, with a lot of information available about each drink. We got a Liquid Picnic and a Barcelonnette--just one round to close out the weekend. Both were delicious. The Liquid Picnic was a smooth, savory gin martini made with London dry gin, tomato, citron, vermouth, rosemary, and black pepper. I learned from the book that it used clarified tomato water. (There was also further reading about the clarification process.) The Barcelonnette was a mezcal sour with Suze, passionfruit, and lime, the foam made without egg white through some geeky mixologist process.
