I purchased a Groupon for a facial/neck massage and made an appointment a week in advance. It was a little confusing when I arrived because I had to walk through a nail salon to get to the spa, I think they're different businesses? I arrived early and was taken back by a friendly woman and introduced to Carmen, the Esthetician. Her and the other woman (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) worked on my skin together. She asked me if I had problems or concerns about my skin so we chatted about my issues and she focused on those areas. The treatment was thorough and my skin looked amazing after. Unfortunately the set up of this spa isn't ideal, as I could hear the client talking on her cellphone in the next room (The walls that separate the rooms don't reach the ceiling, so it's pretty open) but I didn't mind too much. I was given a glass of fruit juice after my treatment, which was a nice touch. The woman (still can't remember her name, sorry!) attempted to up sell me for three more facials after I was done for $130 which was a good price, however they didn't take cards and I had no cash. I was told that price was ONLY available today ‍I've never been to a spa that didn't accept credit cards before and I would've purchased it right then but I didn't want to go to the atm and come back. I made another appointment for a month from now so hopefully I will still be able to take advantage the pricing special. read more

I've 37 weeks pregnant and I've had a couple of prenatal massages throughout my pregnancy. The massage I received yesterday from Carmen was hands down the best massage EVER!!! Not only did she apply the right amount of pressure and pay special attention to my heavily pregnant condition, she was very knowledgeable about giving prenatal massages and asked all the right questions. The ambiance and aromatherapy was perfect and so was the music. My hubby scheduled this massage for Mother's Day and everything was perfect. Carmen has done chair massages for my company in the past, which everyone looks forward to getting. I decided to go to the spa for my birthday and boy! was it worth it. It had been a super stressful time for me and I came out as if I was walking on clouds. Literally, a head to toe 60 min massage...add on a first time customer price and a nice little cocktail with cheese and crackers...it was a perfect experience! I will definitely be back! Wow, is what I can say. My husband bought me a Groupon for Valentine's Day. I decided to use it but was a little skeptical due to reviews with location and some remarks. But, I must say parking was easy and it's not a classy place but the service is awesome. They are very friendly, make you feel comfortable and are very welcoming. It's a small room that smells great and has relaxing music playing. I got my massage from Carmen 30 minutes and an exfoliater and paraffin on feet and hands by Sylvia. It was so relaxing and therapeutical. Carmen has magical hands to melt off all your stress. She's very accommodating. I felt like a million bucks when I left. No more knots on my shoulders and my hand and feet were soft as ever. Sylvia did a great job. I live local and I will definitely be back soon. I found me a regular spot now. I loved it. First time I came here was with a groupon and have been hooked ever since. Do not get fooled by the space. It may not be the most spacious or fanciest spa, but certainly the most effective. I had the kind of acne that hurt to the touch, but after a facial I was able to experience clear skin for the first time in years! They took their time opening up my pores with vapor, massaging my face and then squeezing my face. Ive had clear skin ever since. Love this place! So grateful I came across it. Had a massage here and it was great. My -1 star was because of the environment. Yes, it is located within a gym. That wasn't the issue. When I arrived, the ladies were behind, so I had to wait. Not a problem, but you have to wait outside of the spa area. So, I was sitting on a couch while people exercised on the bikes behind me. Awkward. In the massage, the table was creaking like the screws weren't tightened enough. Please check your tables. And the last issue was that they use Pandora for music, and in the middle of my massage a commercial for the Minions came on. Which was terrible in so many ways. Sum it up: Massage was great. I received a half hour upper body massage last night from Cecelia. It was by far the best massage I've ever gotten. For the first time in a long time I woke up today without any neck or back pain. Cecelia took her time and really worked on the parts of my neck and back giving me the most trouble. When your massage is done they give you a plate of fresh fruit and a glass of fruit juice and give you time to relax after your massage, which was a pleasant surprise. The prices are so reasonable, which makes it even better. I will definitely be going back there again and again. Loved it!! read more

I tried this place because I wanted a hot stone massage and they offered it through Groupon. Carmen was very nice and very accommodating and gave a very good massage. The place was very clean, but I was a little taken aback that the walls in the massage rooms did not go all the way to the ceiling so you could hear noises from the surrounding common areas - which was a bit distracting. This was the reason for the 4 stars vs 5. Overall the experience was a positive one and I would recommend Carmen for a massage. read more

This was the first time I ever had a Massage. I can't believe I never did this before. The most relaxing experience I have ever had. The relaxation music, the candles, scented oil, the heated table, all a plus to the very relaxing massage. Carmen was so sweet, accommodating and worked out every ache in my muscles. GREAT massages! My sister and I did the Groupon (they gave us the Groupon price just for mentioning it) for our massages and both girls gave great massages. Not a spa per say in that there's no awesome sitting rooms or saunas but a cute little place with a great massage for an excellent price. Didn't realize this was a gym in the same area as a bunch of warehouses with giant trucks. They moved my scheduled time from 11 am to 4 pm. no one greeted me when I walked in and they asked me to get here 15 minutes early. 20 minutes later, still no one came to get me. They took me at 4:20 finally and I said I needed to be done at 5. They didn't listen. The woman who massaged me didn't really read my form before she started which said I wanted a therapeutic massage with light pressure. She used hard pressure and touched parts of my back I asked not to touch because they're super sensitive. She also got massage oil all in my hair and all over my face. The hot stones were NOT hot at first. The massage room was next to a daycare and I heard screaming kids are certain points. The music kept skipping and the table kept making a lot of noise. Basically, this was the least relaxing massage I've ever had. They gave me hi-c in a champagne glass after. It was gross. And I was late for where I needed to be after since they took me 20 min late. The massage itself was fine, despite the fact it was 30 minutes and I had a groupon for 60 minutes. Let's start from the beginning. My friend got me a groupon for a 60-minute massage at Aldana's in March for my birthday. It was to expire on July 16, and I made an appointment for July 1st. I called 3 times during that week. It was the same every time: someone answered, said they had to check for the massage person, and said they needed to take a message, and no one called me back. On the last time I called, she said she'd write down an appointment for me and they'd call to confirm, which they did the next day. I was in school, so it went to voicemail. It said, and I quote, "Hi Lauren, this is Carmen from Surgery Spa just calling to confirm your appointment for tomorrow, 1:00, thank you." The next day, I got a call again. They said they wanted to confirm that my massage was 15 minutes, which I said no to. They were INSISTENT that they had told me to call them back to confirm that it was a 15 minute massage, to which I also said no. They ultimately told me to come in. I get there and I am waiting a while before someone even comes out into the office area. There is then more confusion because my groupon was for Aldana's, not them. They also thought I was someone else, as it appears that they had another problem with someone else on the phone that morning. After the woman disappeared again, she came back saying that she straightened it out with Aldana's, and SHE'LL SEE if her masseuse would take me, as if I would be lucky to get my appointment which I made. She takes me! Finally some relief. The lights were on, as was the air conditioner, when I went in. The lights eventually dimmed but it remained freezing. For the first several minutes of my 30 minute massage, I heard people talking loudly and phones ringing from other staff. They eventually went somewhere else as well. The massage itself was fine. After, they gave me juice and cheese and crackers, which I tried to eat quickly because I was freezing. A week and a half later, I am still annoyed that my friend paid for 60 minutes and I got 30. Mind you, I was leaving the salon at 2, but I was there before 1, they greeted me at 1, and took 15 minutes to straighten out their stuff, and the getting undressed and dressed and eating cheese and crackers, the actual massage was half of what she paid for. The massage was not relaxing enough to dismiss the headache their disorganization caused before and after. read more
