Stopped in to grab a couple slices while getting Chinese for the family. Upon asking the 2 employees if they had slices she half heartedly said "yeah" like I was interrupting something. She walks next to the pizza oven and takes 2 slices of cheese and pepperoni and slides them in a box. Lord knows how long they were sitting there before I asked. No warmer to keep them "hot and fresh" just room temperature and aged hours to perfection. That should have been the cue to say no thanks. But at that point I was already invested that far. One bite... as expected stale and cold, definitely aged several hours. No way would I ever go back and purchase there again after that experience. If they can't safely keep sliced pizza lord knows how great the remainder of their food prep is. Avoid. read more

I live close by and said to my wife why don't we try Sugo we havent ordered from there in years I ordered a large cheese pepperoni, In all honesty I have to say we were very disappointed sauce tasted like tomato paste right from the can with cheap mozzarella cheese. The food from this pizzeria is fire ( and in this day and age that means it's AMAZING ) The workers r friendly and welcoming. Prices r a little bit higher up there ( but then again that's how it is everywhere ) So I would definitely recommend SUGOS to anybody looking for awesome food and service from a slice of pizza for 1 person to 3 party pizzas and buckets of their amazing charred wings for an entire block party . Food was really good, wings cooked to perfection and the pizza tastes very good. Now for the not so good side, if you want it for lunch at lunchtime don't order here. I ordered at 10:48am for delivery at noon, it didn't show up until 12:20 leaving my coworker and I rushing to finish eating by12:30. The bad part is I only work 9 tenths of a mile away. read more

O have been here some years ago and it now has a new owner so I thought I would give it a try. I will NOT go back there. I watched the employee (possibly the owner) slid a 5 gallon bucket of sauce across the floor from the coolers to her work station put that bucket on the work station and put her gloved hand on the bottom of the bucket to poor the sauce in to her pan. Then she went and made my sub with the same gloves. She never wiped down the work station that she was making pizzas on. If anyone knows anything about food safety knows she isn't fallowing the rules. These rules are in place for a reason. There are no excuse for not putting people safety first. read more

Just got Sugo again for the first time in years. Used to get Sugo at least once a week when i was a kid and was the best pizza i ever had. I moved and continued life about 45 minutes away so i couldn't get it anymore but i just recently got it again as i was passing by and it still holds top tier on my list of classic cheese pizza. While we LOVED Sugo when I lived in the Cheektowaga area, tonight's experience left much to be desired. I understand the original (key word: original) 40 minute wait time for a chicken finger pizza because "we have to cook the fingers", I do not understand what happened after. When I arrived to pick up the pizza, I was told it was burnt and they needed to make me a new one. Ok, no problem. .But THEN! Waited an extra 15 mins for them to make a new one....still costing me $20. Again, no problem. My issue comes when I stood there watching as they pulled the replacement pizza out of the oven and then DRENCHED, maybe even DROWNED, the beautiful, freshly made pizza in hot sauce. Dude - it was almost inedible for someone who ordered a medium cause hot is just a little too much. Sugo, you broke my heart. read more

Jeff the owner is the man. If you are there when he is working, then your food comes out awesome... On the other hand there could be some consciences issues when he is not working. The two complaints we run into over and over again is the sauces (we get on the sides always) are always a bit off. we order Med, but always get a overly buttery mild or a different mixture each time... We always LOVE the Charbroil BBQ Wings, but we link them all to be charbroiled... we often get some wings that have no real markings and some that have that delicious char'd markings... I am not sure who was working but once we asked for them to be very char'd and they were amazing.... but every time we ask for that again, we never seem to get close.. Besides those small preferences, we love sugos. we get their food often (3 times a month) and they are located in a convent place. read more

I've eaten their food twice and both times it was fantastic. Personally, I think that their pizza crust needs a little more flavor but it has a nice consistency and the pizza as a whole has a great taste. I've also had both the regular and the BBQ wings. The regular wings are really good with the traditional Buffalo flavor. The BBQ wings are amazing! No joke! I think they're the best BBQ wings I've ever had! This place doesn't have seating, so the food is Carry Out. I don't know if they deliver. read more

I was very pleased with my experience today! Since you don't deliver your man flowers for valentines, I decided to have good sent to him at work. The staff was very polite and even accommodated my request to have a card and balloon I provided delivered with the order. Their prices were reasonable and the time from order to delivery was very acceptable for a Friday afternoon. My valentine enjoyed both the BBQ chicken wings and his pizza. Subs are ok. Ordered a turkey club with no tomato,....they put tomatoes on it & a few pieces of the bacon were awful and undercooked. Breadsticks are dry and lack flavor. Ordered a pizza and wing combo. Guy who answered the phone was so rude and sounded annoyed. Wings were tiny . read more

Ordered their fish fry, for $11.99 I was expecting to get a small fish and some fries... BOY WAS I WRONG. They give you a huge fish, a pound of fries, macaroni salad, coleslaw and even piece of garlic bread!! The Fish was beautiful & crispy. Fries were perfect crisp with lots of flavor! This Pizzeria has gotten terribly overpriced in recent years while the quality of the food has decreased dramatically. l recently purchased a small "Supreme" pizza minus a couple toppings at my request which l picked up for the price of $19.58 ... When l got home and opened the box the pizza was literally BLACK !!! The outer crust was completely burnt and all the toppings were dark brown to black in color ... The overpriced pizza was replaced and delivered at no charge but the original one should have NEVER been put in a box for sale. NEVER !!! read more

Had takout from here. Everything was good but nothing spectacular. The pizza was the biggest letdown. The crust looked to be amazingly crispy but then it was like hollow inside. The wings were very tasty but as someone mentioned, they were tiny not the normal size of Buffalo wings. I had BBQ which were also an additional charge. I would not pay extra for them. The chicken fingers were the best part of the meal. Perfectly crispy and the fries were really good and they gave a lot of them. Overall this is a good place, good value, and the staff was very friendly at pickup/ordering. Would definitely try them again to give their pizza another try plus they offer delivery. read more

I definitely **get** Buffalo pizza now. Sugo's not a bad choice when you want to see what the natives are talking about when they say they are getting pizza. Tried their taco pizza and it was pretty good. Had fresh chopped iceberg and hot sauce on top. Cooked perfectly in the Buffalo way with plenty of toppings. French fries come in paper bags so they are still crisp by the time they get home! Ingenious. Their fries are the seasoned kind that are a little thicker - reminds me of wedges. I hear the buffalo chicken pizza is pretty good as well - will have to report back on that one. read more

I've lived down the street from Sugo for a year now. Today I decided to give it a try. What I ordered: Small pizza with pepperoni and onions, mozzarella sticks, chicken finger taco (hot). There is a pretty relaxed atmosphere inside. There's a TV you can watch up front while you wait. You can see the entire kitchen from the front counter. It would be nice if there was a place inside to eat but no big deal. The staff was a little short but still friendly. The pizza was pretty average. The crust is light and fluffy, and by far the most delicious part of the pie. Plenty of cheese and other toppings. However, I found the sauce to be bland. It is not sweet or spicy enough to really stand out. The mozzarella sticks were fully cooked but could have stayed down in the fryer a little longer to melt the cheese some more. Again, no big deal, but not quite what I expected. The hot chicken finger taco was excellent. I don't even think taco is the proper word - this was a full on burrito. Your basic flour tortilla bursting at the seams with hot chicken fingers, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream. Simple but in this case was pulled off quite well. Overall, I wasn't super impressed with the pizza. It's not that it was bad, but it was pretty bland. In other words there is better out there. However the tacos are pretty great. I wouldn't go out of my way to order from here for the family but I'd potentially stop in again for a quick munchie fix. read more
