Phil and I came in here for lunch on a weekday, the place was empty besides one table. We ordered: - Pork Tonkastu Ramen - Chicken Tonkastu Ramen - Gyoza - Takoyaki I love takoyaki, so whenever I see it on the menu I have to order it! It was pretty good here. Bruh, idk if they just had an off day but this is by far the WORST ramen I've ever had. My bf and I ordered from UberEats. I was pleased by the careful packaging and the appearance of the ramen, everything looked perfect. Then I ate it. Im actually mad at how bad this ramen is. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu. Absolutely, unforgivably BLAND AND FLAVORLESS. the pork belly? DRY, STIFF and FLAVORLESS. There was a MASS of uncooked chives that were BITTER and disgusting. Not sliced or lightly sautéed to reduce the burning bitterness. The noodles were undercooked and FLAVORLESS. The bok choy was undercooked, chewy and still bitter. I literally spit that and the chives out. INEDIBLE. Also spicy??? Where?? The chili oil was like, if someone screamed chili from a across the room to give it flavor. Like I'm truly mad at how bad this ramen is. The only redeeming thing was the egg. My boyfriend ordered the miso ramen also BLAND AF. it's like this restaurant has never eaten ramen or doesn't know what umami is! I am SHOCKED! Even the flippin edamame had NO SALT on it. I wonder if they've just over adjusted to a western palette and completely compromised the beautiful rich flavors of Japan bc people don't understand seasoning and are used to eating bland food here. Shocking, truly shocking. Eat here if you're the kind of person that likes boiled unseasoned chicken I guess, but if you're looking for authentic or real flavor, this is NOT it. read more

Yeah, I might just be jaded by phenomenal Ramen but I'm utterly shocked at these reviews. Maybe it's just Colorado's ramen scene is lackluster but it was completely OK. The broth? Nothing to write home. The char siu? This was the star. The noodles? It was playing second fiddle. Nothing special, but the gyoza were good. This was my one Ramen spot during the trip out of the others to pick from. Maybe it was a bad day? I left unsatisfied with my cravings. read more

Wish this location would up their service game. Between having to wait forever to have our order taken and the inconsistency with ordering - Im gonna have to skip coming to this location for a bit, in hopes they improve. Sad because the Arapahoe Road location is so excellent across the board. Went in last night around 7. Took quite a while for the one person running the floor to even take our order. Understandable cause the place was full. Then we were told there was only one portion of rice available and we'd have to change our order. No rice at 7pm at a Japanese restaurant?! Then we didn't even receive the miso soup that came with the teriyaki chicken bowl (that we were only able to order 1 of cause of no more rice)?! I would suggest having more than 1 person working the floor during prime time and make more rice. read more

WOW! I'm so glad they opened up this location. I ordered dumplings and the spicy tonkotus with shrimp. The dumplings were delicious. The meats were tender and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The broth was tasteful and spicy. The environment was chill. I love the layout of the place. There's plenty of parking on the right side of the building. There's also parallel parking right in front of the restaurant but you have to pay for it. The service was great. The servers were every attentive. I can't wait to come back when I visit Denver again. read more

This soup was so good!! Huge portion and very fresh. Absolutely delicious. I ordered to go and they packaged it perfectly with the hot liquid separate (no spills!) and the utensils nicely packaged around chopsticks and a napkin with a rubber band. Highly recommend!! read more

I think this is the best Ramen in town. Don't roll your eyes, let me explain. The reason it's the best ramen in town is because the broth is light, not overly salted, and according to a survey I made up a lot of other people think so too. I went for the beef fried noodle bowl (beef yakisoba) without the yolk and it was absolutely fantastic with an great flavor that is indescribable. Very rich and umami. The noodles were very fresh and hearty. The meal was filling and like nothing I have ever had before. I also got an order of chicken boa buns, but these boa buns were a little stickier than my preference in that, with every bite the buns world stick to my teeth, but the flavor was great! Some things to know is that this is in the downtown area so you have to hope for best when it comes to parking. You are given chopsticks to eat with. although I would've preferred to fork, I wasn't gonna embarrass myself and ask for for since I do know how to use chopsticks, but just know there is no silverware on the table. Very courteous and friendly service -- no rush, read the menu, order an appetizer and relax. A colleague of mine ordered the Tonkatsu, opining that the broth was very smooth, not oily, as it can be in some Los Angeles noodle restaurants. I had the Tsukemen (note: some assembly required) and really enjoyed it. Tsukemen is definitely a value dish with lots of food for the money. You don't walk away feeling you need more. You walk away full. read more

Sukiya Ramen is easily my favorite ramen place in Denver. They've got delicious food, friendly and kind staff, and hilarious figurines in the entrance. Plus they're super quick. The ramen is just right. Rich and creamy with all of the fillings that go so well together. Plus the options are great: enough to explore the menu and meet my moods, but not so much that it's overwhelming. Oh and the spicy ramen is awesome! I love spicy food. The spicy tonkotsu is where it's at. Once, I wanted to have the heavy and full feeling (like the way cheese fries feel) AND have ramen. A quick look at the appetizers and I found just what I needed to feel great in my belly and feel great in my soul. Spend all your money eating here because they are the BEST! read more

This ramen is very tasty. They seem to be very busy which is great, but didn't take my order until my whole party arrived which deterred me from getting an appetizer. Once we did order (I did DYI ramen), we got the food quickly and it was really good. If you're a meat eater don't pass up the pork! It was perfection in my ramen. Because of how busy they were, it didn't seem they could check on us often, which worked fine since I didn't need anything, but might have been tricky if I had. So I have been wanting to come here for months. Shame, shame, shame, on me for waiting. The Corona hit and now I can only get their food for takeout or delivery. The food was amazing, and the owners are wonderful people. I will be back and already am planning on going next week. The food. The Sesame balls are perfect. You bite in and get a perfect, crunch, then the center. I could eat a whole order, and maybe I did... We got both Gyozas, and loved both. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the veggie ones. We could have got just those. My picky eater ate the Chicken Karaage with glee, and told me it was the best "friend chicken" she has had. I got the Ramen and I admit, after all the rest of the food, it will become lunch tomorrow. This place will be a new favorite of mine. There are a few check boxes you have to tick off to be a truly great ramen restaurant. If you can hit all of them, it's a good sign of authenticity. Let's see how Sukiya's new South Broadway location does: Noodles: 5/5 really well made, perfectly cooked noodles with a good bite, not too thick, absorbs the broth perfectly. Bonus points because they actually have very good gluten free noodles as well. Broth: 5/5 the tonkotsu is fantastic, the pork flavor really comes through and the spice and thickness is well balanced. Warms your belly in the best possible way Chasu: 4/5 I've had more magical melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, but theirs is still very good. It's well-seasoned but it just doesn't quite dissolve like a 7-hour slow cooked pork belly should. Toppings: 5/5 they nail all the rest of the toppings as well, the gooey egg, sesame, nori, bamboo shoots, narutomaki -- all there Value: 5/5 I think it's perfectly priced at $13/bowl, well worth it The service is great and they've done a great job at putting together the new location. If you've been to the Greenwood Village one, know you're getting the same high quality experience here. Overall 5/5 you gotta come before the lines start going out the door. read more

I finally met an authentic ramen in Denver. My son had Hakata Tonkotsu and I Had Spicy Chashu miso. Both ramen came with toppings including a dash of Beni Shoga and a sheet of Nori just like I expect in Japanese ramen. Marinated soft boiled egg is so tasty. Broth is solid. I will bring my husband next time since we live so close to this new location. Highly recommended. Oh by the way, gyoza was awesome! read more

We have eaten there before and ordered takeout last night.we were told it would be 15 minutes and more than an hour and 15 minutes later we received our food with not as much as an apology or an explanation or a discount. There was no manager to be seen. I tried to call today and chat with management prior to leaving a review but was told the manager was not available. We had our 4 yr old in the car while we were waiting and it ruined our evening as we were starving. We were absolutely amazed at the disregard for our wait. Never again will we let ourselves be victimized like that. Saw multiple delivery drivers run in and grab food while we were waiting for ours. So apparently not everyone had the same experience. I've eaten at a good amount of ramen spots in Denver (Menya, Uncle, etc) but this place is my favorite so far. Their tonkatsu broth is SUPER good and creamy-- they serve it with either pork or chicken, which is nice because chicken isn't always an option for ramen bowls. This is also the first place I've tried in the city that offers bowl add-ons (extra noodles, eggs, etc), which is something that most traditional ramen spots do. Great spot to not only satisfy that ramen craving of yours, but to feel like you're actually back on the west coast where good ramen lives. Big fan of Sukiya, there is always a wait at this place which is a great sign. I love their sesame balls, the takoyaki (must try), and the variety of ramen is great for all. They serve ramen from all different areas of Japan, including shoyu, tonkotsu, miso, and special ramen- my personal favorite being the spicy tonkotsu. Sukiya has locations in Greenwood Village and Denver, both which are great. They have great service, and great food! read more

The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

I've been many times since before and after COVID, and it was one of my favorite repeatable spots in Denver. However, the crew totally dropped the ball with our visit today. My wife ordered a tonkatsu ramen and got a chicken tonkatsu set instead (chicken cutlet, not bowl of ramen). To not make it weird, we just let that one be for the greater good of the table because it was our anniversary, grandparents were visiting, and we are here often. Our hamachi kama (one of my favorite dishes in the entire city, normally something I'd highly recommend on this review) was never sent to the kitchen, leaving us waiting for over an hour with two young kids at the table who had finished 40 minutes before. I watched the staff's confusion from my seat, even after we had been told that it was on its way. It was never even started, and it was obvious. That stuff happens, but it's hard to hide what happened in an open kitchen where you can hear what people are saying. But then after they had the "oh crap" moment, it wasn't even expedited. It was gonna take so long that it wasn't worth getting, so two people had to leave our not-busy lunch without getting the main thing we brought them to Ototo for. We were asked to wait for the dish, waited 15 more minutes, and it was not even close to ready. And while I appreciated the apology, the manager initially just tried to "take the dish off the bill," a dish we never received. So he basically tried to do nothing because no restaurant would charge for something that never came out. After I pointed this out, they took off part of the check, but that attempt at nothing under the guise of a comp was crazy. I've easily spent thousands at Ototo over the years. I've sent tons of people to Kizaki, Temaki Den, and the others. This will probably be the last time I go to Ototo. If you read some of the recent bad reviews, something is not working here anymore. I hope the otherwise amazing service at the other Dens can find its way back to Ototo.

The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

The poached cod was also great, especially the sauce. The drinks were just as strong. The L5 margarita with salt foam was really good, and even the frosé, which I usually skip, worked perfectly here. The vibe is a big part of it. The downtown views are hard to beat and the patio is easily one of the better ones in the city. Inside also feels intentional and well designed. Service was excellent. Avery was our server and it was her first day, which you wouldn't have guessed. Carl and Mark also made the experience feel smooth and welcoming. For dessert, the Lisbon chocolate cake and Turkish kunefe were both great. The Basque cheesecake and lobster salad also stood out and had those memorable bites that stick with you. Overall, a really strong experience and definitely a place worth making a reservation for.
