Went here a while back and they completely screwed me on a catalytic converter for an older vehicle. They told me they would be replacing the entire thing and then gave me a Quote about 1k. However the quote changed when i went to pick it up. It came out to around 2.6k . The part itself is between 100-150 dollars online, so apparently i am paying for the entire service centers groceries all week!. The best part is they didnt even replace the entire catalytic converter, only half of it, then telling me the other half I should keep an eye on as its starting to rot. I was beyond livid. A few years before this, They did work on one of my tires and lost my hubcap, didnt replace it or give me any money for it. I went to Sullivans in Plymouth for decades, they were always good with service, this Sullivans is horrific and will nickle and dime you, lie to you and take you for everything you've got ; just check the other reviews. I found this shop when I failed the emissions section of my annual inspection, and I chose it because it's a state-certified repair shop. I was a little nervous about using a new shop, but my fears were immediately allayed. I called for an appointment and got one the very next day. A few hours after leaving the car, I got a call explaining what repairs were needed, and also what maintenance was recommended, with a very clear explanation of both, and a price for each. The repairs were completed the next day. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient, and I was delighted to learn that Sullivan Tire is an employee-owned business. Then it got even better. My check-engine light came on again, after just a few miles of driving. I called the shop and again, I got an appointment right away. They addressed the problem immediately, test drove the car, and had it back to me within a couple of hours. And there was no charge. This is my garage from now on! read more

While my car passed inspection two months ago, I was told it was time for new tires... all four for the trusty Volvo. The ones that needed to be replaced were nine (yes, 9!!!) years old and they had almost doubled a normal life expectancy, so I knew I would look around for the same Continental tires that came with the car. I searched online everywhere for the best price, but Sullivan was the best price AND there were so many locations to choose from to get this done. Everything can be done online (unless you want to call and chat with someone), so I booked my appointment and received a confirmation from Patricia in less than 10 minutes. 9am on a Saturday and the place was busy, but Jonathan T. checked my car in and I went out for a walk. My car was finished almost an hour before I expected it to be finished, and after chatting with Jonathan for another couple of minutes, I was heading home. I recently discovered that two of my car's tires were damaged and needed to be repaired immediately. I called Sullivan Tire in Somerville and was pleased with their response. Within a few hours, they had fixed my tires and didn't charge me a cent because I'd gotten insurance on my tires (which I had bought there last year). They couldn't have made the process easier. I recently brought my vehicle here to have it diagnosed due to some brake complications. At initial drop-off, I stated that I made an appointment last night but was unsure if it was confirmed. They did receive it so they were able to take my car for a check-up to see what was the issue. I reached out the next day as I didn't hear anything from them for 24 hours. The person I spoke to over the phone was able to tell me that they were waiting on final reporting from the tech before giving me a ring but gave me the information he was able to. I was quoted different prices because there were 'immediate' issues and 'down the road' maintenance that I should do sooner rather than later. Once I had all of the documentation available to me via email, I was able to figure out a game-plan for the work that needed to be done by my car. I decided not to have work done at this location as I had a relative that was planning on helping me instead. The prognosis provided by Sullivan Tire were not what came to be my vehicle's issues. I have used Sullivan Tire's services previously in replacing my rear rotors, so it's not like I've always had a tough time here. BEWARE!! They will SCAM you!! I picked my tires, scheduled an appointment a week and a half out. They call me not even 36 hrs before my appointment and tell me they don't have the tires I already booked. Meanwhile, I have been waiting to get in and get the tires on as the ones on my car are terrible and snow is about to fly. I would have been searching around to find something else!! Thank you for wasting my time! No apology, no trying to make it right. Told me it would be over $250 more for the next level of tire. Which I can't swing right now with winter/holidays approaching. They clearly do not care about their customers. I'm sorry but that was their fault. They shouldn't list the tires if they don't have them! Exercise caution before choosing this place for wheel mounting. I came in to install a new set of wheels, and after completion, I was informed that they couldn't program the tire sensor because they only had the capability for the 21 model year, whereas my car is a 23 model. This meant I had to go elsewhere for that service, and they did so without providing any prior notice, yet still charged me the full wheel mounting price. To make things worse, right after they put on the wheels, there was a weird noise coming from them. I had to come back. Then I went back, but they couldn't figure out why. They said it might be because of my aftermarket wheels. But seriously, it's just regular 17x8.5 wheels. I didn't ask for anything complicated. I thought a tire shop could handle it easily. I'm still waiting for a solution, but for now, I recommend not going to this shop. read more

AVOID Sullivan tire I went in there with FOUR HUBCAPS AND LEFT WITH THREE HUBCAPS And they try to accuse us for one of them falling off, which is a complete lie hubcaps don't fall off by themselves, had to call corporate numerous times no return phone calls and refused to take accountability. They will charge you for labor that they don't actually do. I had my car towed and asked for a new radiator. They charged 1 hour labor to diagnose that I needed the new radiator that i had already asked for. They said they read the codes off my engine which was an obvious lie because they refused to give me a copy. Driving away with an undiagnosed misfire even though I paid for diagnostics! read more

Jonathan Taylor was nasty and abusive without any imaginable reason. He said it would take two or three days for them to look at the car and demanded I tell him a time when I would pick it up. I named a time two days later, and he said they weren't open then (their website says they are.) All that needed to be done was for them to fix a mistake they made last time. I went away and called a manager who had been reasonable to talk to on the former visit. The work was done in a couple of hours - they weren't busy that day. My tire pressure light went on yesterday, so I called Sullivan Tire this morning. I spoke with Francisco, who was very nice and said to bring my car to the shop. When I brought the car to the shop, Francisco immediately had the tires checked out, and they discovered a nail in the tire. He said they could fix it, but they were busy, so it wouldn't be ready til 5:00. Then Lee, one of the mechanics, was at the desk, and he said that he could fit me in and fix the tire in a hour and a half if I waited. I waited, and my tire was fixed in just one hour, and it only costs $30. I am very grateful to Lee, who offered to fit me in to his busy schedule, and for fixing my tire so quickly, and to Francisco who was so nice and welcoming to me as a first time customer. I will always bring my car here when I have issues! I've been to this location twice, once when I ran over a nail and this time when I thought I ran over a nail. I was able to bring my car in right away to be checked out and got it back by the end of the day even though it was busy. The mechanic should have known he/they lacked the technology or training. They did refund me for the part of the work they had been unable to perform. Got new tires for my 2018 Tesla Model S. They knew how to put my Air Suspension in Jack mode and how to lift the car without damage to my battery or body. They use special equipment on the lift rack to raise the car from the suspension. Friendly and cooperative employees. However, had to wait 3 hours. read more

Horrible workmanship and customer service. I bought a set of tires and paid them for mounting and balancing. So far 3 of the 4 have had leaks at the wheel. They have charged me to fix them because I didn't buy their protection plan. Why should I I have to buy a protection plan for something they should have done right in the first place. Even worse they don't respect appointment times. The latest tire the estimated would be a 3-1/2 hour wait even with an appointment. Get your tires ANYWHERE else. You will be better off. read more

I went in to Sullivan Tire yesterday due to a nagging issue with my Subaru Crosstrek pulling strongly to the left. Jeff mentioned it was likely due to a power steering gear box problem, and that Subaru could confirm that. Robin called Subaru, and yes, they agreed it probably is just that, and a Subaru dealer would be the right place to go to. I'm grateful that they listened, took action, and "steered" me (yes, I had to write that) to the right answer. Went in there at noon on a weekday to try to get my low pressure tire patched at least looked at. When I approached the reception counter the staffer (who doesn't know the difference between a mustang and a challenger) started talking to me in a sexist condescending manner about the repairs that he thought would need to happen. After that he said I would have to leave my car there till 6pm because the compressor wasn't working (a tire & auto service without compressors). I needed an oil change and had a tight time line. I scheduled an appointment online, only to receive an email later that they were fully booked for the day that I selected. Not a great start, but with CoVid, I figured it was understandable. Luckily I was able to get an appointment for the following day. When I arrived, I was greeted by Jonathan Taylor, and discussed with him what I wanted done- an oil change and the advanced vehicle health report. He inquired as to why I wanted the report and I said my car was very loud at high speeds. He asked me to describe what the sound was like and then went to take a quick look at my car. He returned and informed me that the noise was due to my snow tires- which I had not changed over due to CoVid. He saved me from spending money on the advanced report! He then actually helped with the oil change, and I was out within an hour. Jonathan was amazing and I will definitely revisit that location. I went there to get my 2020 silverado tire repaired-tires have 10,000 miles on them and still look new. prior to going there I saw tire pressure message on dash left rear tire down to 23 psi never went flat. I checked tire found drywall screw in center of tread. In my previous career I was an ASE certified truck and auto technician. I have repaired many tires with similar issues in the past. I am a HVAC tech now and don't have facilities or tools to repair my self. Sullivan said tire is not repairable and would need new one. I immediately questioned him why. He said industry standards deems it unrepairable. If that's the case no tire is repairable. I took vehicle and went to Town Fair Tire. A few months ago, I brought my vehicle to Sullivan tire to find out why it was making some strange noises. I had been there a few times before for smaller repairs like tire fixes, and I thought I could trust them with my car. However, after I got my car back at the end of the day, there were THREE dents in the hood that were not there before! I wasn't too upset because the manger told me it would be taken care of with their insurance and they would file a claim under their shop insurance. He said "it must have happened in the parking lot because, believe it or not, tree branches can fall on the cars and things happen in the parking lot all the time." Well, Sullivan Tire decided that they did not want to honor that. They ended up refusing responsibility since I had no "proof" it happened while it was at the shop. (Since I am not there when they have my car...) On top of that, they gave me an estimate of $3,000 - $6,000 worth of work, which is a HUGE range. I ended up bringing my car somewhere else for a second opinion and it was fixed for only $2,400. I cannot believe Sullivan Tire refused to accept responsibility. And it is just a horrible way to do business. If you are going to go there... My advice is to take photos of your car before dropping it off and even have someone confirm that there was no damage when you dropped it off. You don't want to end up with the short end of the stick, like I did! So much for trusting a place based on past experiences... read more

I had been going to Sullivan for several years and was content with the service. However, after my last oil change earlier this year, I noticed several performance issues cropping up with my truck. My oil level was very low, but I did not notice any leaks (I keep my truck in a garage, easy to see leaks) and this being 2020, I was not driving much. I had to add almost two quarts of oil to get a reading on the dipstick. This leads me to believe they did not add enough oil to my truck, which does take more than the average car. This oversight could have cost me thousands in repairs or totaled my vehicle. Never again. read more
