This past Saturday (the 3rd) I had an appointment to drop off my car to do a snow tire change over, an alignment (I have the lifetime alignment), check the battery and do a basic look over of the car. I dropped it off early around 10am and expected to pick up by 5pm. All good at this point. I received a call later in the afternoon around 3pm and I'm told they found a large nail in my snow tire and that it couldn't be repaired (snow tires I purchased from them a few years back) and they didn't notice this after having mounted the tires on the rims. They didn't bother to inspect the tires before mounting because it was too difficult and were in robot mode to just push it out my guess or just lackluster service. Said they only noticed it once it was on the alignment rack and the tire went flat. No kidding that a nail would do that. Told me he couldn't get me a single tire since it is a discontinued product and I had to get all 4 new and they didn't have "All Season" options that were cheaper. The cheapest was $695 for everything basically trying to rip me off as if I don't know better. They then said my alignment bolts were rusted and broken when they tried to take it off and that I'll need new bolts and couldn't get the car till that gets fixed. I found the 4 tires way cheaper at Walmart and ordered those and it was LESS THAN HALF the price they gave me. They said they would leave the nailed tire on the car, air goes down, it goes down and if I wanted they can remount the other tires back but would have to charge me for it. I declined. They will still charge me for the changeover though. Look at that superb service! Still wondering why it was too hard to spot the nail (see picture) my guess is they were trying to trap me to buy tires from them. Inspecting a tire beforehand is asking a lot. Anyway they said the parts would come in Monday for the alignment but they couldn't finish up till Tuesday and I had to do an after hours pick up because I work during the week. The store rep who called me told me to take the tire to a mechanic shop to plug it since their policy didn't allow them to do it since the nail is in the sidewall. They also tried to sell me on a battery on the basis of it having low cold cranking amps but I declined that since my battery is under warranty and I can get a free replacement from Advance Auto Parts. read more

Today, this happened. Third set of tires from the great people at Sullivan Tire in Plaistow. First a set of Bridgestone Blizzak's for our RAV4 which makes it a freaking tank in the snow. Next came four beautiful Michelin's for our babied Dodge Charger. Today a set of Bridgestone summer tires for the RAV4. Additionally they also performed a brake fluid flush (did you know brake fluid attracts moisture?). Early bird got in and out with time to spare before work (will work for tires). Can't offer a higher recommendation for a service facility. Costs were fair and service was timely, people were competent. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Andy the manager of Plastow Sullivan Tire does NOT take responsibility for his employees mistakes and does not seem to even care that those mistakes could have been very serious! I brought my flat tire to either be repaired or replaced. When I went in I was very clear that I would be driving over an hour on the highway the next day and I wanted to be sure the tire was safe to drive on. I was ASSURED that the tire would be safe to drive on and I could wait to get a new tire as long as it was before the winter! The NEXT day my after driving on the highway for an hour my tire WAS FLAT AGAIN! I am so lucky that it didn't blow when I Was on the highway! When I called Andy the manager didn't seem to care at all! I was lucky there was a Sullivan Tire in Westford. They came out changed my tire and told me that they would not have recommended that I drive on the old tire because it was leaking at the bead and there was severe tire dry cracking all around the tire. Very upsetting how little they actually care about the safety of their customers once they walk out the door! read more

Terrible customer service!!!! Bought tires on Nov 23, 2021, scheduled an appt for install. Had to change the install date twice due to work conflicts. was told my new appt. was Thursday 12/9/2021 @ 1:30 pm. Called on 12/8 to confirm and spoke to Andy the store manager who told me that there is nothing on the schedule for my installation!!!!. He was rude and condescending, told me that I could drop off the car in am or the 9th and he would get fit me in when he could. Could not tell me how long the installation would take or when it would start. I called Sullivan's corporate office and spoke to the COO. I told him that they have just lost a customer forever and demanded a refund. Don't stop there they don't deserve your business read more

I went to the Plaistow store today for a set of new tires. I was immediately greeted by the two working the front desk. They were both kind and welcoming. They explained the process and I took a seat just at 1:00. By 2:34 I was on my way home with my new tires, alignment done as well. The ride quality on the new tires is 10/10 (KO2) and the road noise is extremely quiet. I was very impressed with the customer service and was very pleased with only having to wait an hour and a half. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family. read more

I came in here for a state inspection. The customer service desk was friendly and told me that they would take care of it. It took them almost an hour to pull the car into the garage to even start. Normally I am pretty patient with services like this, but everyone was just standing around. Eventually they got started and finished the inspection. While I continued to wait I watch as the mechanic asked the front desk if my car was done, and he said yeah it's all set I just haven't had a chance to write it up yet. A state inspection is a simple service and shouldn't take 2 hours to complete, particularly when there are many employees standing around while a paying customer waits. read more

They work with customers to get you in and out but if you don't indicate your timeline it may go longer then you'd like. I have to assume the positive reviewers out here don't mind being gouged for car repairs. Or maybe they never needed a serious repair, and figured that despite the high prices the staff were friendly and professional. I pretty much felt that way until taking two vehicles in for inspection and ended up with a truly extravagant bill to get the two stickers. The big issue were some faulty brake pads needing repair that they charged three times the national average. I kid you not. So being in a pinch we expressed our outrage, decided to never return again, though went ahead with the repairs. And later regretted throwing away so much money. Beware. read more

The only thing I can think of is that the good reviews of this place are from the management staff and employees. Still slow as $&it... 2 hours to swap out winter tires... Again, not sure if they are understaffed, but they are the only place around that has my size tire. I am unsure why it takes so long to service vehicles with simple issues. Something that should be routine is apparently extremely difficult. My last visit was also interesting as the front desk person can't operate a computer and has been struggling to boot it up in the morning. Also, he was more interested in talking with the older women in the shop and watching HLN rather than helping the line of customers that started forming. Have had nothing but professional service at the Plaistow garage. Prices are about the same as other local garages. Fixed a sidewall leak that others tried to say couldn't be fixed. I had them do brakes and at my next tire rotation they replaced them again because of a manufacturer defect they seen. read more

If I could give - 5 stars I would....Called on a Friday for pricing on tires, was pleasantly surprised and actually happy about the quote. Spoke to coordinator "Desiree" on the phone at the Plaistow location who assured me she would order the tires which would be available for installation on Monday. (Even told me I could drop the car Sunday night for early installation Monday morning!) dragged the kids out of bed Monday before school, had someone follow me to the store, dropped the car off-- only to find that the woman I spoke to Friday, never placed my tire order!!!!!!! They let me leave the car there thinking all was OK but when "Desiree" arrived to work at 8am she unapologetically admitted that the order was never placed. Now to call my ride back to drag me and my kids back to Sullivan tire to pick up my car that's unsafe to be driving around in the first place because of the metal in the tire. Next I'm scrambling to find tires and the time to have them installed. Will never ever do any business with this location and will spread the word. I would have been scared to have my tires installed there anyway, if they can't even order them correctly I would be stupid to let them near my vehicle. read more

I took my Nissan there last year, and, instead of fixing a minor problem (which was just my car's check engine light), they pocketed my mom for a thousand+ dollars and lied about a long list of things about my car. They also issued me an invalid sticker unbeknownst to my knowledge and I ended up getting stopped twice. The second time around, I got pulled over in Lee and the officer issued me a ticket that I didn't deserve. After we brought it back the second time, they ignored exactly what happened (which we complained about) and issued me ANOTHER invalid sticker and lied yet again about my car, thinking that we were stupid enough to believe them. Because of this, I couldn't work for an entire year, because of them. I recently went to another place and I got my car a sticker within a week. Just a week. Sullivan Tire had a year and they couldn't even fix the problem. So please don't go here! These people are nothing but thieves. They should be sued. read more

Could not be happier with the service and attention to detail. Brought in one car that had been burning through tires and had gone to at least 4 different service places before coming here. Within 30 minutes they had identified the problem as the suspension. THEN, after several attempts, it turned out that the part had to come from the manufacturer. Not only did they take care of it but they held to their original quote and ended up taking a hit on the whole transaction. Oh, and the car has never driven better!! read more

I love this Sullivan's! Customer service is terrific. They also have a shuttle van that will take you around the area, so while I'm there, I take advantage of other shopping at Wal Mart or a meal at the cool diner up the street. They have saved me tons of money. I consider them "old school" type mechanics. They even went so far as to get me a door handle from a junkyard and install it for a ridiculously low amount of money; the dealership told me I needed a brand new door that cost $400! On an old car, this would have been a ridiculous waste of money. Their solution was just perfect. problem. I don't know of any mechanics who would bother calling junkyards on your behalf. They also offer a lot of coupons; I receive coupon offers regularly in the mail but they also have some available on their web site. They have been good about telling me when a repair could wait for a bit, or should be an immediate fix. They are honest people. They have a small play area for little ones. Cleaning waiting room, spotless bathroom. Thanks to these guys, my 99 Toyota is alive and well at 260,000 miles! read more

I have a classic VW camper van and believe me finding tires that will take the load is not easy. I have used them for other services also and always been pleased. They are always courteous no matter the volume of customers, and I have had several service jobs to date. I have never had pressure to upsell, have been given very clear information on the status of my car, and this week had a diagnostic within 25 minutes as I arrived to work. The turnaround time is excellent and I can't say enough about their service. They have a loyal customer and referral person for life in me due to their professionalism and helpfulness.
