This was the first restaurant we visited for dinner on our trip to Rosemary Beach. There was a little bit of a wait, but they allowed us to put our names on the list and roam around and said they would text us when our table was ready. It was great because we were able to pop into another spot to drink while waiting. Overall, we all liked the food here and were impressed. Waitress was very polite and friendly and made great recommendations. I went with the blackened grouper with grits and it did not disappoint! The key lime pie was also great. Would definitely return if we ever make it back to Rosemary Beach. read more

Good food, great ambiance, dog friendly (outside) ----- ----- We were on our way into town and were hungry for lunch, as were many many other people. So we put our name on the wait list and while we waited we walked around the nearby shops and grassy area, as other families were doing. When they called us we were in luck - an outside table that happened to be right next to the hostess/host stand... and they were dog lovers. So our dog was happy to be greeted so warmly; and they refilled the water bowl right away. We ordered chips and salsa and chips and guacamole right as we sat down, and thankfully they arrived quickly... that helped take away the hunger. For lunch we enjoyed some fine hamburgers, a chicken sandwich, and my wonderful wife enjoyed a Caesar salad. All plates were clean when we were done. This was a nice lunch and we'll happily return. So this place was highly rated on yelp and the menu looked good so we stepped in. We were told it was about 20 minutes for a table and we decided to wait. We were 5 adults and a 20 month old. Anyway, the bottom line is we ordered an assortment of dishes and the food uniformly was bland and just unappetizing. The spicy chicken roll up was not really spicy or satisfying. There was plenty of chicken but overall it was just dry chicken in a tortilla with a few greens. My son-in-law had the kale salad. It sounded good and looked fresh but is there a dressing that removes taste? If so, they were using it in abundance. My wife, the vegetarian, had the black bean roll up and strangely, it was by far the best thing we tried. Service was lackadaisical at best. For the 5 of us, it was 160ish plus tip. Came here for breakfast...highly recommended in Rosemary beach. Really enjoyed the food. They offer custom omelets and custom egg scrambles. I got the scramble which was awesome! All the veggies are fresh and the eggs are organic. I got chicken and jalepeno in particular that added a fun punch to mine. The sides offering is so so and the fruit in particular was underwhelming...just the classic mixed melons. We also ordered the smoothies which were great and are coconut water based, so no diary. I didn't get a mixed drink but they had watermelon mimosas which looked awesome and custom Bloody Mary mix. Another day! I'd say the staff we had was so so and only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars. She didn't seem that friendly but was attentive and did a good Job besides that. Coffee was good...nothing unique though. read more

This spot has the BEST customer service. I was on a weekend trip to FL for the fourth of july weekend from Dallas, TX and we had some time to kill in Rosemary Beach before we got on our flight back home. I stopped in here to use the restroom (thank you for having public restrooms available as not many places on Main do), and left a shopping bag of $200 worth of souvenir shirts that I had purchased in the restroom. It wasn't until I landed back in Dallas that I realized I did so. Fast forward 24 hours and I give them a call and their manager was SO incredibly nice about it and said they had it turned in and she is shipping it to Dallas after she gets off today. While I may not have actually eaten here (the food did look INCREDIBLE may I say), I could not recommend this place enough due to the kind faces who work there! They made us wait outside for 30 minutes in the pouring rain when there was no wait and plenty of room inside. :( Sorry, usually I'm not picky and have never left a bad review, but this was a bad experience. Edit: We waited 30 minutes for our food when we all ordered really small plates or sides that should have been made. ^^ This was my review, we were respectful to the staff, after we left our review another staff member came to our table and forcefully and very rudely told us that we should've spoken to them before writing a review... regardless being aggressive to customers will not help a bad review but only make it worse...and when she came back she threw our check on the table. read more

We ate lunch here the other day and had a great experience. They were able to seat us inside immediately and our server was excellent. He was friendly and attentive for the entire meal. My husband and son had the grilled chicken sandwiches, which looked delicious, and my son got fruit with his. He had some teardrop grapes that were unique and tasty. I ordered the Asian salad and added the fresh mahi-mahi on top. The fish was cooked and spiced to perfection and the house-made sesame vinaigrette was amazing. I ate every bite! Disappointed. This was our first stop in Rosemary for lunch. Simple order was made incorrectly, which is fine. Mistakes happen. But, the server was rubbing her nose non-stop when taking our order and when she was the one to bring our food plates out, it really turned me off. I love this quaint restaurant! My friend and I stopped here for my birthday to dine. It was the only place without a wait. Our waitress Taylor was super nice and made our experience great! We loved this place so much that we came back every night of our beach trip! We tried the tuna poke appetizer, the cast iron filet, shrimp and grits, crab cakes and zuppa ingles for desert! This is my 2nd time eating at Summer Kitchen and it has yet to disappoint. The first time was lunch and the most recent we had breakfast. I had the Avocado Roll up and it was paired with crispy home fries that were cooked to perfection. The Avocado Roll Up is similar to a breakfast burrito. Avocado, bacon, egg & feta were rolled in a pack tight tortilla. I definitely recommend. The service is great. Always attentive. Unlimited coffee. read more

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Its a small but cute restaurant with a few tables inside and additional seating outside. This is one of those establishments where you walk up and order at a counter. They will give you a number and bring your food to the table. The lunch menu consists of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. They also have a decent selection of bottled beer to chose from. I ordered the tuna salad salad, a bed of greens with a scoop of tuna salad served with Italian vinaigrette. I enjoyed this salad. It was a good choice for a light meal on a warm day. One of my friends ordered the grilled chiken and black bean roll up. We sat here for 15 minutes without so much as being approached for our drink order. The table next to us commented that everything they had ordered was messed up i.e. were given items that they didn't order. Clearly, this establishment is understaffed and while I can be understanding, when it affects my dining experience while on vacation, my sympathy is non-existent. Maybe if they get their act together I'll try it sometime in the future. This visit, however, was a total bust. read more

Where to begin? The sign clearly states "Coffee, Espresso, Latte". Stopped in at opening time this morning for a "latte" only to be told by a rather rude waitress that they only have coffee. Husband and I were seated immediately because we wanted to be outside. I can't comment on the ambiance of the restaurant itself because I never ventured inside. We ordered the guacamole to start, and we were incredibly amused when our server brought it out and set it on our table. The plate was almost entirely filled with store bought chips and there was a very small dollop of guacamole in the middle, which was decent enough but definitely did not give the impression of being house made. It was just too creamy and processed tasting. That should have tipped us off, but as we had ordered our meals with the appetizer, we were stuck. Husband ordered the portabello mushroom roll up, and I had the black bean and quinoa burger. We split both right down the middle, and neither of them were anything special, same goes for the fries which did not appear or taste freshly hand-cut (though I don't know if the menu made that claim or not). They were so forgettable that I literally have no words to describe them. The only thing that stands out in my memory is that the burger could have used something to hold it together because it just crumbled apart as soon as I picked it up. I ended up having to use a fork to eat it. So while our meals certainly were not bad, we still felt like we could have better spent our money elsewhere. Because of Summer Kitchen, my husband and I have established a new rule: order an appetizer first and then make a decision on whether to order entrees. If the appetizer is lackluster, the entrees have a good chance of being the same. read more

This was a disappointing lunch. We were able to sit outside after a brief wait, so that's a positive. Seating was not at a 6' distance from the next table, however. Our service was beyond slow, and the waiter didn't get our order right. He didn't write it down, and you know how that often works out. After waiting a very loooog time for it, I was disappointed to have cheese on an item that clearly didn't come with cheese on the menu. In fact, cheese was an upcharge. I sent it back, and my dining companion was finished with his lunch by the time the correct order was delivered. To make matters worse, the check reflected an upcharge for cheese THAT I DID NOT ORDER, even after I brought the error to the waiter's attention. He fixed it, but good lord. Just write down the dang order, already! Food was good, so I've upgraded them from one star to two for that much. Be advised that parties of 6 or consisting of minors get a 20% service charge. If you send your kids for lunch, make sure they are aware and don't 40% tip! read more

The manager, Barbara, was equally unprofessional as she took my ID (after it had already been checked) without explaining why and to somewhere I could not see. She was gone for several minutes and when the waitress finally brought it back, still no explanation other than they thought it was fake....so embarrassing and completely ruined the moment as we were there to Celebrate my sisters wedding. None of the steaks were delivered as ordered, and then we were abruptly told the check would not be split and a 20% tipwas automatically added. For this area, you CAN DO BETTER.
