We used to love this place and it was always our go to spot. Unfortunately, the last time we went, we sit outside and there was incredibly loud music. I love music, but this was techno music so loud that the weight staff couldn't hear our order! I politely asked more than one person if they could just turn it down a little and a waitress said she could try but one of the owners was there, and he insisted that it stay loud. I finally went and talked to the owner, who was very dismissive and said that they were going with a new "vibe" that required club style music and refused to turn it down. We've ate at Lola's every summer for the past several Years now. There were some additions to the menu as well as the front. From the moment you walk in the door, the experience has been elevated by a hostess stand with the friendliest ladies. When I commented that the restaurant had been given a facelift since our last visit in July of last summer, the girls proceeded to lmk how excited they were ab the cosmetic changes and the menu additions. They recommended the lobster Mac n cheese, the hot honey pepperoni pizza and a couple of other dishes... we tried the two mentioned above and were blown away by both: 10/10 for both dishes. My husband practically li led the Mac n cheese dish clean and I loved the pizza. We sat at the bar bc the wait was 30 mins... that's my only hag up, there were at least 5 empty tables inside and outside. But we don't mind sitting at the bar so it was alll good. The bar staff were fun, helpful and efficient. Shay made my hubby a drink he hasn't had since we were in Jamaica 4 years ago and he loved it. This is one of the more casual spots in Rosemary Beach which is refreshing. Italian themed with lots of standard dishes. The calamari and goat cheese dip are HUGE and enough to feed at least 4 people, honestly more. They both were good! The goat cheese dip was lacking flavor and came with basically garlic bread. Marlando sat our bachelorette party of 12 a little before they closed, he was incredibly attentive, kind and funny! We all loved the drinks, food, and the music they played. They even brought out the chef to say, "hi"! No one rushed us even though they were "closed" a majority of the time we were there. I will have to say this was the worst meal that we had during our vacation . My friend and I ordered the chicken parm and chicken Alfredo . Both were served cold with what appeared to be commercially prepared sauces . The chicken on the Alfredo was so tough that it could hardly be cut. I asked for warm Alfredo and a congealed glob was brought to the table . The mixed green salads were tolerable, though nothing special. The ceasar salad was terrible! Honestly a pretty strange experience... We were seated at a 6 person table even though there were multiple other tables with 4 seats open the whole time we were seated. We had a reservation outside and were also seated inside. For the first 25 minutes no one came to our table. There was a table that came in after us that got waters and drink orders as soon as they were seated and they had two waitresses at their table (one of them ended up being our waitress). We ended up grabbing a manager and letting them know but still having to wait. When we got up for the second time after another 10-15 minutes, we finally got a waitress to bring us waters and take our full order because we had plenty of time to memorize the menu at that point. We ended up only really eating my plate, the others were okay. I got the lasagna and it tied us over until we got home. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience. We've lived down here for almost 11 years and I really haven't had a bad experience on 30A until coming here. read more

The kind staff here helped me locate the building, it's like a labyrinth there, but once you get your bearings, you'll love all the restaurants and shops along the front and back of the community! Lola's was just what I needed! A hearty, delicious, hot breakfast of creamy grits, avocado toast with poached eggs! (I opted not to have the salmon which was on the menu)! They didn't have hot tea, only coffee, but I brought my tea bags and was graciously served hot water. I'd love it if they offered a tea selection!! I sat outside on the covered patio and enjoyed watching the passersby. Inside was cozy and dim, and the restroom was well kept. This is one of my favorite restaurants! Every time we visit Rosemary Beach, this place is on our list! Fun environment. Always busy, staff are friendly and the menu is great! Anything from pastas, to pizzas and great fish! Menu prices are very reasonable. After traveling all day, we were the first to be seated when they opened for dinner at 5pm, and the staff were so kind! As we sat down Chef Tom approached and welcomed us to town! Service was excellent and the place was clean. The food that I had was average for the cost, close to $80 before the tip, for a salad, pizza, cocktail and a glass of wine. The cocktail was well made by the bartender. As for the food I had the Diavola Pizza that was quite delicious . It looked as if the Spicy Italian sausage, caramelized onion and Calabrian chilis were all ground up together and put on the pizza almost like a paste rather than individual components. The crust was quite good with a slight char flavor to it. The Caesar salad was very ordinary especially for a $17 dollar salad, I've had better at some of the chain restaurants out there. As of the writing of this 3/16/25 add 2-3 dollars to menu prices as stated on the website today. All and all the place was good, but for me there are better places that I feel I get a better value for my money. read more

I didn't realize my wife hadn't ordered something more expensive when I paid so I just paid and left. When I got back and saw what she ordered, we thought there was a mistake. We called the restaurant for clarity. Obviously tax is part of the difference but they let us know that my meal was $4 more expensive than what the website said and there were two different service charges. I get it - it's vacation and it's only $14 difference but this is just lousy business. We won't be back, and I'd suggest you skip as well, or at least order through Yelp. read more

I don't even know where to start. Their recorder says they don't take reservations it's first come first serve so we show up and are asked if we have a reservation. Then we are seated outside 40 minutes later after waiting because they do indeed take reservations, only to be swarmed by 100 flies. We couldn't even enjoy our meal which was like $100 for two people because we were attacked by flies the entire time. Not worth it. Made the entire experience horrible. On top of that after eating their bolognese and lasagna both my fiance and I had horrible stomach aches the entire night and following day. read more

Terrible nighmare! We made a reservation for 16 people (including 3 kids under 7) at 6:30pm. We biked and drove to Restaurant 10 minutes early, only to find out they "lost" our reservation! They would not seat us, and offered no accommodations, only a weak apology! 13 adults and 3 hungry kids with no dinner, no help at all. Thank Shades Restaurant for recognizing our situation and accommodating our situation. "A" for Shades Restaurant for quality and service. We waited 20 minutes for them to clear a table. Then another 20 minutes for our server to bring waters. The food was good, we had calamari, which was delicious, Caesar salad, chicken picatta (excellent) and the kids had spaghetti and chicken tenders. The server was Mia most of the time and when we received the bill there were two additional service fees added on. When we questioned these fees the server said "our manager told us if someone asks about the fees remove them with my code, if they don't ask, leave the fees on the bill". Shady business tactic imo.
