Super bummed! Just moved to Kyle and decided to go here and support local instead of the corporate giant, Starbucks. Ordered a chai latte with almond milk. After I paid and was given the drink she told me there was milk in the "chai powder" that they use. Obviously I wish I was informed of this item having dairy when I ordered it and it only came up because I asked what their "Moon Milk" was (has dairy). I told the gal that I don't drink milk or dairy and even after she was made aware that I can't enjoy this chai latte, I wasn't offered to get a different beverage even after I had already paid for it. I'm super bummed because I just wasted $5- literally I poured it down the drain and now I have a headache from lack of caffeine. I'm also VERY disappointed that a local coffee shop would use a powdered chai... I guess I'm spoiled with local artisan coffee shops having lived in Austin and other cities. Cenote makes the most amazing chai in-house! Anyway, just wanted to do the business's job and warn vegans (are there any in Kyle?) and dairy-free folks about this. Sad day. read more

I've been living in Austin for 10 years and I just tried this place recently. My friend took me here and I am hooked. I usually get the quarter winter moon. It is the perfect combination for me. I don't like my coffee too sweet. If you get high in the "moons" it becomes a lot sweeter. I wish they sold it separately so I can add to my coffee at home. read more

This new location is perfect for the residents of Kyle, and the coffee and food are great. The store front is well kept, beautiful aesthetic, and an amazing staff. But PLEASE turn DOWN the music. Not once have I come here and noticed the music at an appropriate level. Everyone tries to talk over the music, and there are plenty of people here holding small meetings/gatherings and studying/working. Despite my best efforts to bring headphones in or ignore the music it is simply too loud. Don't get me wrong, I'm only 22 and I love Justin Bieber and Beyoncé as the next person. But I don't need a concert session at the quaint coffee shop in my neighborhood. read more

The Fireside blend in the k-cups is the only thing that is getting me through until I visit again. I love Summer Moon but the Kyle location is the reason for only 2 stars. The Kyle location is not consistent with their drinks. That's a huge problem when you go expecting a particular drink and it's noticeably different. From watered down, to not-so-fresh coffee, etc. The cafe itself is cute, spacious, plenty of tables and outlets. Just bring up your barista game! read more

This is my very first Yelp review. I am truly offended and upset that I feel as though I need to write this. Love the Coffee. The staff's behavior is unacceptable. I find it unacceptable to be talked about, to my face, by the baristas. I went to the shop around 10am, the guy who took my order was very kind. But as I went down the bar, to the other end to pick up my drink, all I hear is "that is the girl who ordered 4 shots in her coffee last time. Doesn't she look like the character form Big Mouth?" (They continued to laugh at me and kept talking about my appearance) If you are unaware of the show, it is a Netflix Original Cartoon with VERY UGLY characters. The baristas were so focused on talking about me that they made my order wrong. I didn't notice until I made it to my car. I felt as though I couldn't go back inside without getting reprimanded. This was not the only instance. The VERY FIRST time I came to your shop the SAME BARISTA instigated the conversation where they were talking about my order. It is unacceptable that there was no management available for me to talk to. I called the shop after leaving, to talk to the store manager, or any management. I was told that no management would be in today. I personally take issue with there being NO MANAGER there at that time. I was talked about, made fun of, and walked away with an incorrect order. When I called the shop one of the baristas (Kayla, I believe) said that she would relay my concerns to the Assistant Manager and he will be giving me a call. He did, in fact, called me and apologized for the incident. He told me "that he has seen me in the shop multiple times" and even "looked me up on Facebook before he called me" he said "that I don't look like the characters from the show" I personally don't see what the purpose of him looking me up on Facebook was. I have also only been to the shop TWICE and BOTH TIMES I was talked about. Why should I even return? The Assistant Manager told me "he has had issues with this barista in the past, and will be writing him up" My issue is, why is this barista still an employee? I've only been there twice. There has been a correlation, I've been the ONLY African American in the shop both times. He doesn't talk about anyone, but me. Not the person in front of me and not the person behind me. I am truly hurt by the comments that were made. And I am saddened that other customers may have been dealing with this as well. One bad apple spoils the bunch. This barista is the instigator and the others follow and even go along with his actions. I truly have an issue with these baristas not having a supervisor today And also if there was a supervisor there, at my FIRST visit at your location. When they were talking about me and my order, I don't understand why there wasn't management intervention. read more

So addicted to this Moon Milk! The location is near and easy to drive thru on way to work. All the staff has been pleasant and helpful. Even gives my dog a treat when she eye to ride with me. The Summermoon Latte and Bluemoon Latte's are my favorites so far. Haven't had a chance to sit inside but loved the small table for kids to sit and color while drinking some coffee. read more

I love Summermoon but this locations customer service is horrible! The staff is rude and condescending. They are slow, and my drinks are never stirred properly or they are missing a component altogether. After 3 times through the drive through I STILL had to go inside to make my drink they way I had ordered it at the window... When I finally had had enough and thought to let the Manger know she acted like I was insulting her and brushed me off. I will not go there anymore. read more

Honestly some of the best lattes I've ever had. Came to visit my sister in Kyle and was so happily surprised to find this little spot after I got my nails done. The staff is so nice and efficient! I would recommend this place to everyone I know if I was local. Quarter winter moon latte was perfect for someone who doesn't like too much sweetness and the barista explained everything so easily to me on her recommendations. For a 20 z iced latte it was $6 & worth any penny. I've gone everyday I have been visiting. 10000/10 go go go!! read more

Diaper changer in the women's bathroom, and they are trying to install one in the men's too... apparently there is electrical wiring in the way right now. Love this place! I'm so glad they have a Kyle location now, since it's closer to where we live. And it's a much bigger and more spacious place than the Buda location, which makes it awesome for meeting people! Very friendly staff as well - I've never had anything but great interactions with their employees. I'm not much of a coffee drinker (even though all of my friends are) so I appreciate that they have breakfast tacos, tea options, and the frozen hot chocolate when I'm looking for a sweet treat. I heard of this place from my son. He said their frozen coffee was better than McDonalds Mocha Frappe, and even starbucks. I was skepticle....so I asked the barista for a recommendation. She recommended a mocha, shake of sorts....one duo and I am hooked! Notbsire what crack you all are putting in there bur it's Damn good! I've found my new coffee shop. The shop is super clean. Staff is very friendly. Saw a lot of srudents in there studying. It was a nice quiet atmosphere. Definitely recommend giving a try. This is the worst Summermoon I've been to yet, I love Summermoon, but very disappointed in this one. Everytime I have visited this one, the staff are "hanging out" behind the counter not doing anything. When anyone comes in they look annoyed we came in to order anything & they take a long time to complete any order, they show no sense of urgency at all. Also, the counter tops & bar area were filthy with food & trash all over. The floors were absolutely disgusting & every table that was free had stuff all over them. The staff just sit behind the counter doing nothing. Again, very disappointed with this Summermoon because I've been to others & this one is not near the quality of the others. read more

I have tried several times to make this a 5 star review. The staff are always nice, the preparation and delivery of a cup of coffee horrible. This morning for example my husband and I went to splurge for a nice cup of coffee. 6 bucks a cup is a splurge- so I'm expecting to get what I order. 1/2 moon, extra shot , extra hot. After waiting on n line to order and again for it to be made, my cup of coffee was luke warm at best and watered down beyond belief. What a waste! The inconsistency of a cup of coffee over the last three years between Buda and Kyle locations is about the only consistency you will find. It's a shame, because I loved it when I first tried it, but I'm done. Rather keep the 6 bucks and make my own hot cup of coffee. read more
