This was my second time booking this company in the last two years, my first experience was great so I had no hesitation booking again. My moving crew consisted of two individuals, one of who started the day by stating he recognized me from social media and "always wondered about me," they then proceeded to verbally harass me throughout the day by asking about my relationship status, if I had kids, and if I planned to marry my current partner. He then proceeded to make comments such as "I just think you're worth waiting for, that's all." At the end of the service, he asked to take a picture with me to which I said no. He then stated he wouldn't show anyone or post online and physically put his arm around me and took a picture. Also on a lesser note, my TV stand was broken (and ultimately unable to be fixed) during the move. I have attempted for the last week and a half to file a formal complaint with the company regarding these issues. I've only been able to actually speak to their customer service who "took notes" of my complaints and relayed it to their operations team. Initially operations only sent generic emails saying they were looking into the matter even though I requested multiple times to be contacted directly. They then sent their final email stating that their internal findings show that no inappropriate conduct from the crew happened, how they came to that conclusion without speaking to me is comical. I've attempted to reach out to other contacts who I assume are in management positions, both of which said they would look into the matter further or get me in contact with someone who could actually help, and neither of them have done so even though I've attempted to follow up. If I could leave negative stars for a company who enables such behavior from employees and refuses to contact customers regarding formal complaints I would. read more

I am very disappointed with Summit. At first, I was excited about having them coming to help us. I paid for 2 men to move us. First, they showed up 2 1/2 hours late, 2 men ( and one girlfriend) showed, in the middle of the move, guy with girlfriend, left to 'take a break', and never came back. Wanting to continue the move, my son, helped the other man (until they came back). They waited for almost an hour... moving things slowly.. for the other guy to come back. Finally, dawning on them that they were not coming back, the continued to move furniture. When they finally arrived at the new location with the furniture, the original mover said that he had called for another guy with the company to come help. So again they waited awhile until he showed up. I'm frustrated because I ended up having to pay for 4 hours for 2 men, and trip fee. This move was only a small 1 bedroom apartment with most of items already moved out. Should not have taken much over 2 hours at best! I was not able to talk to anyone the day of the move so I went ahead and paid the bill feeling assured that this 'professional' company would make it right. Not so! I tipped the guys at end of job very well, it wasn't their fault that they hired incompetent movers that disappear mid move. Which lead me to payng even more money out of pocket. I smelled marijauna on them at my new house. One tracked mud or dirt on my brand new carpet. I felt as if the movers were buying time. It took them double the time to do what could have been done in a shorter amount of time. Several breaks and moments where they were not to be found. The service and the cost did not add up. I moved from a 2 br apt, 2nd floor with elevators to a 3 br single story townhome both less than 1500 sq ft. I paid $1200 to help them move and disassemble items to speed up the process that they still managed to drag the time. I know the job was no more than $600, $750 at best, and that's for quality service. The job done was worth much less. I thought I was paying for professional service, but felt as though two random drug addicts did the service. And crack heads would have done the service quicker and with less damage. I also had to reassemble items that were meant to be assembled by the movers, because they left the screws at my apartment. As slow as they were you would think everything was intact, NOPE! Broke a 55" inch TV, I had to purchase another, scratched my wooden table on one side along the entire side, looked like they dragged it, scratched my wood coffee table and foot board, and broke my dresser. They were disassembling things that didn't need to be disassembled. I don't mind paying for quality service, but nothing aligned with the website, dirty blankets, dirty smelly slow movers, shoddy work, just horrible amateur service. Absolutely nothing professional about it. I thought I was going to save money, but going with this company costs me so much time, unnecessary money and headaches. I put in a claim, but we'll see where that goes. It should be a crime for businesses to carry on like this. Did a terrible job moving us. Moved 7/25 across Houston. Did not expect all of my furniture and boxes to fit in their truck. However, they did a terrible job loading it. They packed the book cases but forgot almost every single shelf!! Left a significant number of furniture and pieces behind. Did not try to fill any empty space between furniture pieces in the truck - left them empty. Broke the feet off of 2 pieces of furniture. Damaged walls trying to move furniture down the stairs (that took days to fix). I understand the time factor (it started to rain and that slowed them down). But one of the men was constantly on the phone, texting and talking. He was not the man in charge, so they weren't work calls. No explanation, just kept going back to check / text / call. I called to talk to someone about this multiple times and all they said was they'd "get in touch". It's been over a week. I do not recommend them at all. read more

Worst experience I've ever had in my life. I'll hire random people off the street before I ever trust and work with this company again. 20 minutes AFTER my move was supposed to start I give them a call asking where my crew is at and the guy on the line says "I was meaning to call you..." he also says "I've been here early working on this..." then why did you not give me a curtesy call to let me know there was an issue. After staying up late the night before, taking PTO, getting friends there to help, reserving the loading dock, scheduling work calls around my move time, I find out they aren't able to take care of my move the day that had been scheduled well in advance. Next time you're going to cancel the day of someone's move, please give your customers a heads up before 20 minutes AFTER their move was supposed to start. read more

I was very impressed with their smooth sales guy, who gave me untruths. They called at the end of the time period they were supposed to show up to ask if they could do it the next day. They didn't. They didn't bring everything they were supposed to, moved a box from my daughter's room down the hall into the bathroom and left it there, put my son's desk chair into his closet and left it, took apart his bed and put part of the frame in his closet and put the bed back together wrong, leaving screws off. My nice dining room table was scratched and had the finish taken off. And half the screws were left off. Absolutely terrible job. And all of their emails in response are from a noreply email so you can't even reply (in response to my calls). WORST MOVERS EVER! Don't use them! They broke several pieces of our furniture, they put holes in our walls and then when contacting management they were rude and were not helpful when trying to figure out how to compensate for all the damage. The movers themselves were very slow and lazy and took a bunch of smoke breaks while they were getting paid hourly to move our stuff. We ended up telling them to forget the rest of our stuff after they put 2 big holes in our walls. Oh and they will make you sign paperwork and pay before they will unload your stuff from their truck. So the table and shelving that they just threw off the truck and broke after we were forced to paying, because they didn't care they got there money, I'm not allowed to file any claims for. I could not advise you more not to use this company. I had them move me and here is my experience. To start on the phone to get your business they are going to sound great. Their Sales team is good. But their service is horrible. They called me the day before and told me they would be at my house between 8AM and 10AM. I received a call the day of the move that they would be there at 9AM. At 10AM I started calling to see where they were. It took 4 calls before I got ahold of someone. They said they would be there at 11:30AM that they had to load a move from the day before and were a little behind. At 12:30PM I started calling again. I was told someone would be there at soon. By 2PM I was getting upset and I was told that someone would be calling me shortly. At 3:30PM I received a call that I had a new group of moves coming and they would be there shortly. They showed up at 4:30PM reeking of weed. After doing the walk through and showing them what needed to be moved. They went to work. They had 4 men working and they took tell after midnight to load the truck. They did not load everything and when I asked, they pushed back about loading the requested items. Now 4 men 8 hours is 32 hours of labor to load a truck. Now at this time I was told they would deliver everything tomorrow around 10AM. I explained this would be an issue. As my family was at the new house with nothing and all our food has been setting on ice sent 8AM. They did not care and left. I was forced to purchase air mattresses for us to sleep on. As well as some bedding. The next day. In the morning I had to rent a uhaul to move the items they refused to load. Which were bookcases. As well as all the other items they left behind. Such as pieces that they removed of other items, and they warped them and just left them. They did not show up tell 1PM. It took 3 guys 2 hours to unload the truck. Figure that out. Took 32-man hours to load and only 6 to unload. Now, I called to request a partial refund. They asked what for. I said to cover the cost of the air mattresses, bedding, loss of food, the rental of the truck, and the overall failure on their end. They asked how much I wanted. I told them $700. Which was a fair amount. As that was basically covering my loses. They told me they would give me $350 but I would have to sign a non-disclosure. I asked they make it $500 for me to say nothing. At that point they ghosted me. This company failed on so many levels and cost me way more than it should have. This company should be avoided. read more

This company is HORRIBLE! Do NOT use them!!! The sales people are definitely smooth talkers, but the moving crew was inexperienced and obnoxious. I paid $1400 for them to finally get all our belongings from one 4BR house to another across town. I had everything packed. They just had to take apart one bed and sectional, but they broke and damaged so MANY things and took from 3pm-1am. Not only did I open boxes to find many glass items broken from them tossing and dropping boxes, but also expensive wooden furniture now has big scratches and gashes. They broke a connector on my sectional and they "borrowed" tools that never got returned. Two wooden bookcases were completely in pieces by the time they were unloading (and they said, "Oh. Some wood glue will fix that.") No. Those bookcases are now trash. I WAS furious!!!! They took multiple breaks and said they would give me a discount. I had a $100 discount by the time I did the math. They charged me for 3 guys to be there the whole time, but I only had three guys present from 5-8pm. The third guy was late and left early! Dave was very thorough with giving me a quote as well as explaining what my quote included and what to expect. I received a call and email confirming my move the day before and a call the day of to let me know they were on the way. I just completed a 150 mile move and summit movers was great. The movers showed up and started working.they wrapped and protected my stuff. Packed the truck professionally. Jhyzahia Onuorah and Mac Evans were my movers and I would highly recommend them if you want it done correctly and in a timely manner. I honestly can not tell you how easy it was to work with these guys, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was protected and the move was completed in the time quoted. GARBAGE SERVICE. Please do yourself a favor and find a different moving company (use H-Town Movers). I booked my move two weeks in advance and was never given a ballpark time as to when my movers would arrive. Super sketchy from the beginning. I went through a woman named Ava, who seems to be clueless to everything that goes on with the business. After calling her a few times, it came to the day before my move. She told me that operations would be giving me a call that evening to give me a time. They did not call. I was left in the dark, and then the day of my move came. I call Ava, and she seems to have no answers for me and says I SHOULD get a call from the movers. I get a call from a no call ID number, and this guy Christopher tells me there was a scheduling conflict and they don't believe they'll be able to get me moved that day... He even had the nerve to blame the freeze, which apparently can mess with scheduling! He told me they can come the next day first thing in the morning, which did not work with my schedule since I already took off of work that day. He then proceeds to tell me that I should find another moving company if I really need it that day. So unprofessional, it's hilarious at this point! I had them refund my deposit, and I will definitely never be using them again. If you're in Houston and need movers, use H-Town Movers!! Chronological events: 01/09/21 Sat: Company moved my furniture to new address. One of the movers broke the coffee table leg. I showed the lead mover the damage immediately. 01/11/21 Mon: Notified Robert with Summit about damaged coffee table. Sent him a picture via text. He stated the company would fix my table. 02/04/21 Thurs: Alex with Summit picked up the table leg. 03/18/21 Thurs: I called Alex about the table leg. He said he would call the contractor and call me right back. He never called. 04/22/21 Thurs: I called Robert and sent an SMS. He called stating he had the table leg and it was fixed. He said he would call me Mon or Tues (04/26 or 04/27) to make a time to bring the table leg and attach it to the table. He never called. 05/03/21 Mon: I called and got the voicemail. He didn't call me back. 05/04/21 Tues: I called both business numbers.. He didn't call back. 05/05/21 Wed: I called both business numbers again and got the voicemails. I called Alex. He said he would have Robert call me. No call. Finally today, June 1, 2021, they repaired my coffee table after I called yesterday and told them that I wanted my table leg returned to me on June 1, no later than 5 pm. read more

do not use this criminally ridiculous moving company they dont need to be in the moving business. they damaged my smack brand new just built home walls tracked mud all over the new floors and carpet, damaged my furniture they moved slowly and ran the moving bill up. it took them 5 hours to move a few pieces of heavy furniture and some boxs that did not count for travel time or unloading. they came to my apartment in a unmarked moving truck from the 1970 that failed to start when it was time to leave. the moving crew looked like gangsters and thugs and one mover was particularly interested in the type of trash we through away as he said "damn they throw some good stuff away around here as grabbed and loaded it onto the back of the truck. and the move ended with them stealing two of my laptop computers.and i have been told by the police to sue them in civil court. they dont deserve any stars just a pad lock on there business read more
