We had the Drunken Noodles and the Avocado Curry, and both were absolutely delicious--super flavorful, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced spice. You can really tell they care about quality here. The service was fast and friendly, and the whole place has a chill, welcoming vibe. It's a great go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. Also worth noting--they just opened a new location in Dillon called Dillon Thai. Same amazing food, new convenient spot if you're on that side of the county. We were pretty disappointed with our meal. I ordered shrimp Pad Thai and the shrimp was really overcooked. I also found a huge hair in the noodles. The chicken was also rubbery in another dish.. For a small Thai restaurant in a long strip mall, Summit Thai was surprisingly crowded, with the small lobby full of people waiting for tables. The restaurant next door was empty, so we figured that was a good sign for Summit Thai and we were right. We were glad that we had called for a reservation--but were then told that "we don't accept reservations." What? My husband called twice, once to make the reservation and again to ask if they served wine and beer. One of the people waiting looked down her nose at us and said, "Have you eaten here before?" No matter--our group of 5 was were seated immediately anyway! The menu is fairly standard Thai which is AOK with me. And it is delicious! From the crunchy vegetable egg rolls to the Riesling that paired perfectly with the meal, to the dishes we each ordered. The menu indicates clearly which dishes are gluten-free and which contain fish sauce and coconut--great for our group which had three vegetarians, one person allergic to seafood, and another (me) who can't abide coconut or fish sauce. I have dined at countless Thai restaurants over the years, but Summit Thai stood out for its great flavors. After perusing all the dishes available, I often end up with Pad Thai or Pad See Ew simply because they are my favorites. The Pad Thai here was delicious, with large shreds of egg. It was flavored with tamarind, rather than fish sauce--a real plus for me. My husband was very happy with the monthly special, Tom Yum Fried Rice. Other friends had the various curries, the vegetarians ordering them with tofu (with generous portions of it--no tofu scrimping here). I don't know why it has taken us so long to discover Summit Thai. We will certainly be back soon and frequently. read more

Yum! This restaurant was busy and service was great. I ordered the spring rolls and they were crisp and tasty. I ordered Khao Soi and when she brought it to the table I was surprised! This soup was in a large bowl and piled high with crispy fried wontons. A lot of food! The soup broth was delicious but this isn't an overly brothy-type soup as it is a noodle soup and there were a lot of noodles. My husband and I came here on a Saturday night and this place was popping, and once you taste the food you will see why. The staff were working so hard and the kitchen was putting out amazing thai food. Before you order make sure you know what level of spice you want for your dish. I enjoy a mild level of spice so just know that a spice level of 2 is pretty spicy (much hotter than siracha or franks red). For me the 1 spice level seemed to provide the right amount of flavor and heat. We enjoyed the green papaya salad which was on the smaller side for an appetizer. The salad was delicious but we ordered it a bit too spicy for us, but we still really enjoyed it. For my main course I ordered the Kee Mao noodle dish with pork and it blew me away. The dish has a lot of thai basil in it that give it a complex and sweet flavor that goes so well with the pork. The noodle dish portions were great and the prices were very affordable, especially for this area. read more

New Thai place so we immediately went to check it out. Pleasantly surprised at how busy the restaurant was, so very happy for them. I love Thai food and have to say, eat a lot of it. Could not find any good Thai food up here in Summit County except for the thai fried chicken at Birdcage which is superb. Have been cooking my own Thai food whenever i crave anything but i guess i can stop that now with Summit Thai being just up the street. Cute little restaurant, super friendly staff, very aunthentic. Will definitely be back! PS. They let you choose your spice level from 1 to 5, 5 being spiciest. We went for 4...definitely not spicy enough for us. Great food with very specific spice level options. The restaurant was full at 5:30 on a Wednesday which is a great sign. Welcoming atmosphere with people clearly enjoying their meals and company. First two warnings: 1. The service here is friendly but a little slow. It's worth the wait so just be patient. 2. It's Thai spice levels. I like hot food and I stick to a 2 or 3 out of 5 here, and it's still hot. With that out of the way, this is probably the best Thai food I have had in North America. I can't recommend a specific dish because everything I've had in a few visits here has been amazing. The Kra Pao special I had this time was especially good. Giving this place five stars because I'm so happy we finally have a Thai place up here. The food was good! Hard to say whether it was the best I've ever eaten, but it was certainly good. I like HOT. I had 5 of 5 and it was a bit too hot but my main dish was Tom Kha soup, so no rice or noodles to soak up the heat. I'd say the spice levels are probably accurate for Thai. Thai hot is normally HOT! Just keep that in mind. My only disappointment was that they were out of the coconut ice cream. I'll be back for that. The service was quick, but we were there on the early side of dinner & there were only a few seated tables when we arrived. It definitly filled up while we were there. We tried to come the night before, but they were closed because they were at a town counsel meeting applying for a liquor license! That will be nice. The interior could probably be re-done a bit. Hey girllliessss! Went here on one of our little mountain retreats. The service was very kind albeit slow with a 30-40 minute wait time to be seated!!!! When we finally got seated we got the best seats in the house in the corner when you walk in. Guess they knew I was a VIP biatch. Unlike some of the other girlies on here we got our food fast tho. Tooooo fast I might say considering the state of the chicken. Oh heavens me was it frightening. Nice slimy texture to it with a good undercooked value. The rest of the food was acceptable but disappointed I couldn't eat the meat. And I alwayyyss eat the meat ;). Stomach was feeeeellling it the next day.
