      Broken engine cover
      Rhonda P.

I brought in a 2013 Ford Edge to sun Auto August (2024). The save battery warning kept coming on and would kill my battery. They replaced the alternator and I also had them replace the motor in my passenger side window. When I got my car home the passenger door wouldn't lock and evidently they didn't know how to replace the window motor so they took off the driver door panel to figure it out loosing the lock cap on my drivers door. Had to bring it back again for them to find one from a junkyard and replace it and repair the locking mechanism on the passenger door. A couple months later the save battery warning started coming on again so I had to bring it back again. I was told that they didn't know why and I would have to take it to the dealer. (I just paid $3,500 to them for this repair + window motor). I'm not a mechanic obviously but did a search on YouTube and found that it was the EBS. Which I have a feeling was the problem in the first place, not the alternator. I had them unplug the EBS and have no further issues. However... Now just a couple months later I open my hood to add windshield washer fluid and find that my engine cover is broken. No one else has opened the engine hood since Sun Auto worked on it. I had to leave my car there for over a week total and evidently I have to check to see what is missing or broken every time I had to bring it back to them. I used to love this shop 4-5 years ago and recommended many friends to them but over the last few years have had nothing but headaches from dealing with Sun Auto. I definitely will find a different shop and recommend that if you do use them you do a thorough inspection of whatever work they do before leaving the shop for missing/broken parts. The fact that they know they did damage to my car and left it for me to find is outrageous. Twice! Not to mention the I don't know what's wrong with your car issue and you need to take it to the dealership after we just did a major costly repair that didn't fix it.

Not my first time coming and will not be my last! The folks over at Sun Auto know what they're doing and get it done inna timely manner as well! If you're waiting onna vehicle they have plenty of seating and a good waiting area. My service was done in a timely manner, and I could tell they value the customers(me). I overheard a tech saying that they'd get a customer a ride home because they couldn't wait, and that it'd be taken care on Sun Auto's behalf, now that's A+ customer service y'all!

After their inspection, I approved additional repairs and paid $2,006.64, picking up the car on Nov. 17. Within days, the leak was worse. Instead of one leak, I now had two, along with a strong burning-oil smell while driving. I returned on Nov. 21 and was told it was just leftover oil and that everything had been cleaned. That same evening, I discovered the car was leaking from three different places. I brought the car back again on Dec. 2. After no communication all day, I called and was told they found another leaking gasket and wanted an additional $400. I was also told that "oil leaks are tricky on Volkswagens," but a properly diagnosed repair should not turn one leak into multiple new leaks in a matter of days. At this point, I declined further work. I paid over $2,000 and ended up with a car in worse condition than when I brought it in. I requested a refund in writing and never received a response. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.

I've been coming to this jiffy lube for a couple of years since its close to my home but unfortunately I will never return here again. There sign now is "faster than ever" probably because they don't really do anything, they'll short you oil. I had received an oil change in late February, the sticker they placed on my windshield said I had a little ways to go until the next, no service light was on but there was a scary rattle under the hood. I checked the dipstick and it was bone dry. There was no evidence of any leaks coming from my vehicle on my driveway, I just wanted to know why there wasn't any oil left in my car if I had 5000 miles to go. The answer I received from their "mechanic" was my vehicle had some sort of leak OR the oil must be burning while I drive and thats why there wasn't a drop of oil left. Again, no evidence of smoke or anything burning when I drive. He even suggested I take my vehicle and get it worked on ANY of the jiffy lubes and they'll "take care of it". Either this man lied to my face or has no idea what he is talking about because I took my car to a real mechanic and he said " what leak are you talking about?". It's infuriating because you're going to charge almost a 100 bucks for a synthetic oil change, at MOST give me the adequate amount of oil and don't lie to patrons but that is what I get for being too trusting of jiffy lube. Clayton was very helpful, leave him out of it.

It has restored my faith in Lambs, and I am willing to give them another chance. The issue ultimately came down to their central call center speaking out of turn as to what their offers actually were, thus setting a wrong impression in my mind that I was being lied to. That apparently wasn't the case. I do appreciate Lamb's/this mgr's willingness to resolve my issue in a satisfying manner. I upped the number of stars I gave them, but I'm withholding giving them 5 stars until I see how our future relationship pans out. Things are definitely looking up. Thank you, Lambs. WARNING: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!!! I wanted a simple Oil Change for my 2021 Toyota Venza. It takes 5 quarts of oil. I had Lambs do my Oil change last time, and it was $69 (expensive to begin with). Today, I took it in again expecting to pay the same and was told it was going to be $99 after they did it. That's even after I presented a $15 off coupon. I commented on the price and was told that is because of oil prices going up and that their standard oil change of $89 had increased to $109. Annoyed, I paid it and drove away. That price seemed really high, so I called Lambs back right after I left and pretended to be a customer who needed an oil change. I gave them the year, make and model of my car and was told that they are running a special for May that all synthetic oil changes that are originally $89 are now $49. Let me remind you, the price I was just quoted on the phone ($89) was lower than what I was actually charged after I had my oil changed ($99), not to mention the $49 deal for this month only. I feel as though I was lied to and mislead. When I called Lambs back to discuss I was told there was nothing they can do now that the ticket has been closed and that I will have to call back tomorrow to speak with a manager. I will do that an then update this review. Needless, to say that is really a very poor business practices, especially given that they also gave me a laundry list of other things I need to get done on my car (e.g. Engine Air Filter replacement, Cabin Air Filter & Labor, Brake Fluid Flush, Coolant Fluid Flush, and Fuel Induction Serviced). Assuming I need those things done, which I highly doubt now and can do some myself, do you honestly think I would bring my car back to Lambs to get this work done? They just shot themselves in their own foot treating me this way, not offering the special upfront, expecting me to know about it when I came in and still lying to me about how their standard oil service has gone up in price when it hasn't. I bring up that brake issue because it eventually became a pattern of dropping the ball, and repeated issues 1. My car had to be towed because basic logic well known issue for GMC/Chevy 6.2 liter V8 engines have a lifter issue which requires engine replacement. The car wasn't in bad shape as you say. Cadillac dealership said I should have it towed due to the knocking sound. My car has always been kept immaculate. Yes you quoted a fair price, it was Lambs in Lakeway that was ridiculous and most people know they are. The engine took long because they sent the wrong engine and in regards to my finances it wasn't I couldn't pay . I was at the mercy of you and I was nothing but polite every single interaction with you. Your dropped the ball so many times and you actually asked me for advance payment at one point because you needed to pay your taxes . I didn't want to pay you UPFRONT Frank. You fix then pay, that's most every way it's done . You didn't have the money to cover costs which is a concern regarding running a business. I had also just spent money on another car repair and boat repairs . The car sat as I decided what I wanted to do. As far as stating you could have charged me storage you never once mentioned that and I have every phone call that proves that. Pretty shady of you to pull that out on your reply here. Again not on single time did you ever mention storage fees. So please don't act as if it was some favor you did. The car went in for an engine replacement. As you confirmed the day you put the engine in to test drive you call me telling me I need steering column replacement. Yes I have you on recording Frank stating that indeed the lift and big tires were the culprit. The steering was completely fine and it had not been driven once per you as we waited for the engine issue and replacement to be resolved. You now understand why I recorded you. You can't remember what you told me. I didn't struggle to pay you. I had a boat in repair and another car a Range Rover in repair. I communicated to you very professionally. By the way let's remember you had me pay up front on everything. It was the engine that was ordered that was delayed. 2. Regarding the transmission line. Let the public see this post. I pick up my car from Frank and I make it about a quarter to half a mile or so down road and what becomes the problem is the transmission line. Frank I have that call to you recorded as well and your claim that I accelerated or false and blew the line is total BS. It had nothing to do with big tires. I'm saving all my facts, statements from GM certified techs , and video of your guy coming over to "fix" it. Within a day or 2 it went out again and I made you tow it for free. It was your guy that you sent and had him do what he did and sent me on my way and that all was fine only to have it sent back to you. By the way on our recorded call you tried to lead me to believe with certainty it was one thing when in fact you were wrong and called me with another reason. Again grateful I recorded both those conversations. The reputable mechanics I discussed were my brothers out of Houston. My brother owns a professional garage and luxury and collector car biz for 22 years. The other reputable people was a connection I had out of A Cadillac dealer in Dallas. I mentioned this to you and so logically my car stayed locally with you. 3. The whole issue about you spending 200 for the detail I will just say to anyone reading this look at the pics of my Escalade left in his care. Never should have happened Frank. By the way I took a time stamp video of my car before it went back to you. I didn't spill the oil. That's a regular engine oil. Why would I need engine oil to leave in my backseat after you just repaired and did an engine replacement. Again shady of you to blame that on me. And by the way I had to waste 3 hours of my work day sitting there waiting on a detail. Completely unprofessional. 4. I asked you you fix my windshield wiper motor while you had it. You never did. I kept asking you very time you had the car and I have your texts alone that show you forgot several times. same thing Frank regarding the transmission thermostat. I asked you several times, you came out to fix my running board and forgot to get the transmission thermostat and windshield motor. Again pretty crazy you fixed my transmission yet our texts show you dropping the ball on the thermostat. I have lost count on the amount of texts I have that show you never show up on time. I'm done with my response. I'll update this post after claims court.
