Went in for diagnostic with an appointment still took over 2hrs to hear back from them when I went in they made me pay before addressing the diagnostic report gave me an invoice and tried to send me on my way it was literally like pulling teeth trying to get them to tell me the diagnostic report and basically chalked it up to getting a whole new transmission didn't give me a quote for part & labor or explained why the transmission is having issue just said it's common with my model. They made it seem like I was bothering them with my question but if I'm paying $100 just for a diagnostic I expect a full report w/ explanations and quotes the most basic customer service is severely lacking here. read more

I only needed to fix two bulbs for my break lights, these guys used the ones I had and charged me $204, I asked for an explanation since another mechanic was going to do the same for less than a $100 and the guy just said "It is what it is." I'm a young girl and believe that's why they charged me so much but I know it wasn't something big to fix. Terrible service don't recommend this place at all they're just going to over charge you. My truck was vandalized-someone stole the catalytic converter.  Was able to limp into the shop and they quickly determined what happened. They gave me some options and even said it might be actually be fixed in the same day. I filed a claim with my insurance and they said I needed a picture of the damage, the VIN, and Odometer. The insurance called the shop and Joe agreed to take care of it. The insurance rep was a little surprised since most shops will tell them they don't have time to take pictures. Very bad service I don't advise anyone to buy a car here the car was smoking when they sold it to me before I signed a contract I told them to fix it and they insured me it was fixed lied to me so I can sign the contract then once I signed it two days later it was leaking fluids and smoking so I brought it back and waited a whole day and 8 hours just for them to tell me it's fixed and it was still doing the same thing they are a bunch of scam artists terrible terrible service don't do it read more

I wish these reviews would let you give ZERO stars to write a review but unfortunately that is not the case. I am not much of a critic when it comes to leaving a review on how someone performs their job but when Mario, a service advisor, took my loyalty to the company after l had spent multiple thousands of dollars with them already and just threw it all away over a small mistake they made and refuse to take responsibility for, something has to be said. This incident happened 2 years ago at Sun Auto service off of West Ave. I had taken my car to be serviced at this location, where I was an established and loyal customer, for a A/C job. Upon picking up my car I thought it was going to be another great experience with Sun Auto but little did I know that was going to be the last time I was going to give this company my business. As I went to get into my car and test the A/C for myself, my girlfriend noticed that my widow tint was destroyed on the driver side window. The A/C worked great but as I addressed the window tint with Mario, he seemed dumbfounded as to what I was talking about and refused to go outside and look at the window with me. He stated that his guys had nothing to do with it and the widow was like that when I gave it to them. As I mentioned before, I've spent multiple thousands of dollars with this company and to think this is how they do business with their loyal customers, I felt disrespected and betrayed by the way I was being treated. Do you really think I would try to hustle y'all over some cheap $50 tint after the money I've spent with y'all? Mario would rather lie about their mistake and lose a loyal customer then to pay a small price to fix the tint. Mario and Sun Auto service had lost all my respect and trust. I bet you're wondering why did I take so long to write this review? Why write it now? Well like I said I'm not much of a critic but the main reason I wrote this review is because James, Hector and the guys at Sun Auto Service at 23711 W I-10 San Antonio, TX 78257 United States recently regained my trust with this company and showed me what it means to be a valued, loyal, and respected customer with them again. I would never in my right mind EVER go to Mario and his guys at 11823 West Ave San Antonio, TX 78216 United States again. I never wanted to take anything away from Sun Auto, after all the great experiences I had there, but Mario do better, really. You should take some notes from the guys at the Leon Springs area. The guys at Sun Auto provided me with the best customer service I have ever experienced from an Auto repair shop. The not only checked my vehicle to make sure work had been done, but they also made sure that my vehicle was safe to drive. Went in for state inspection 2/23. It failed due to brake problems. Imagine the suprised look on the face of Joseph Sweeney, their "state inspector" when I informed him that I had the brakes replaced in 2021. Sad for him, but I had pads and rotors replaced at a Midas in Cocoa, Florida in 2022. I then took my car for a free brake check at a local Midas. They told me that my brakes looked brand new and found no problem including the e-brake. Bottom line my car passed the state inspection elsewhere. They can keep the $7. they stole from me because I won't be caught dead at their West Avenue facility, or any other, ever. read more
