    Pad Thai
    Daviyion J.

Ordered grub for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint in the deliciousness department. Had the Pad Thai for dinner, Chicken curry with Paratha as an appetizer, and Thai Ice Tea as my beverage. The Pad Thai was flavorful and came with a TON of bean sprouts on top, but it was okay. Would have liked a slightly bigger portion, but it was tasty which is most important. The curry had a nice flavor profile as well and was a Burmese curry so a little less thick thank Indian curry can be. The Paratha bread is special highlight that deserves oodles of praise and I recommend you get this by itself or with the curry (if you must) just to enjoy its tasty, flaky texture. Great for dipping in the curry as well. This was a takeout meal so can't speak to the service experience, but the ordering process was smooth on the website, but note that you can only pay with a giftcard online. Otherwise, you'll have to pay in-person upon pickup.

Killer selection and great quality. Black rice sushi was very unique and both the sushi and pad Thai were amazing.

I normally go to the Williamsville location but wanted to try this place out! I ordered the black dragon roll and spicy salmon roll. I noted that the prices were a bit higher than I'm used to but the regular rolls come with 8 pieces instead of the standard 6. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I would definitely come back! Parking is easy as there is a lot. I will be returning!

Golden Golden Crispy Shrimp Roll - so so delicious and great for non-sushi eaters!

Such a great hidden gem! A mix of Japanese, Burmese, Vietnamese and Thai! Usually that's an indicator that the food is not going to be great but literally everything my friends and I had was incredible! We started with edamame, a golden sushi roll and a mango vegan roll - fantastic! For dinner was Burmese chicken curry - less like a traditional Indian curry, it was so tender and easy to shred with chop sticks that you eat over rice - amazing! Really great price and my husband and I can't wait to be back!!

The quality of this food is out of this world. The sushi is so tender and delicate. The flavors all play so well with each other and the quality and freshness are exceptional. I have never been disappointed with the food here. They have been surprisingly consistent thoughout the years. My first time visiting was over five years ago and with just visiting again recently, I'm amazed the quality of the food is still exceptional if not even better than it was before. Doesn't look like they're cutting any corners amidst the trying times of the pandemic. If you havent been, this is a must visit. You will not be disappointed.

This spot is a great place to get some Thai food!! I tend to always order the pad Thai because I just like it that much. The beer selection is very nice too. Whenever I drive near here it's a must stop even if I just get the black rice mango sushi roll which I can't find anywhere else. Delicious and very filling I have always been happy with my meals coming here!!

The Niagara Street location, the original location, in Buffalo is always quite good. But the Williamsville location is lousy.

I ordered three things and they were impressive despite being different than what I was used to. The absolute highlight for me was the **Tea Leaf Salad** -- the standout flavor profile made the dish incredibly memorable. The flavor was fantastic but it did have a few too many split peas and the whole chilis on the side were slightly awkward. The **Mohinga (Fish Noodle Soup)** was also delicious and actually reminded me of Vietnamese bún riêu in some ways. Highly recommend. The **Burmese Chicken Curry** was good but caught me off guard -- it's a bit liquidy and very tangy. It's definitely worth trying, just know it's a punchy dish rather than a subtle comfort food. What really pushes this to five stars is the hospitality. The older gentleman I'm guessing is the owner was incredibly warm -- came over to ask where I was visiting from, brought out free egg rolls, and just had this genuine energy of someone who actually cares about the people in his restaurant. You could see it in how he chatted with tables and joked with kids. Food does take a bit longer, but it fits the family-cooking vibe -- nothing feels rushed. If you want something authentic with real heart behind it, this place is worth the trip.

The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.

We were the second group (two people). We waited at least 10 minutes to be seated, at least 15 mins. for our order to be taken, and left after waiting an additional 20 mins. for our food. One of the staff said to be patient - it would take 40 mins. for our order to come. Several of the customers for take-out arrived and found their orders were not prepared yet. Just an all-around mess. In-restaurant customers should be their first priority. They should not have taken so many take-out orders given their staffing.

Hard working people working in this restaurant as we could see as we peaked in the kitchen on our way out the door. Small place with huge menu. Decisions, decisions on just what to order. Hubby chose the shrimp bento box. He enjoyed. I ended up with the Tom Kar soup and california rolls. I loved the soup. And it was the good kind of california rolls...not the fake crab stick...the salad style (see my pic). The decor is quirky and kind of a no frills type place. Nothing fancy or high end by any stretch. Quite a few tables occupied, and lots of takeout orders. Seems the word is out that they have delicious food. I do recommend if you want your sushi fix.

That includes clearing of items you're done with immediately and no waiting for your bill. I was never rushed; they were just great at their job! Honestly hard to find over the last few years and I was very grateful for that experience alone. The ambience was a very cozy-casual. As I was dining alone this time, I enjoyed the 80s music and videos playing on the TV haha I have to be honest ... I really really wanted to order a roll! But I'm trying to do better about trying other things. So I ordered the Atlantic mussels and the pan seared scallops with veggies with fresh ginger sauce and rice, at a spice level of 3/5. The mussels were very generous and in a large bowl. My biggest pull, aside from the mussels themselves, was that in the description it had a creamy coconut sauce. But I did not taste any coconut and it wasn't creamy. It was broth. It wasn't bad or anything, just not quite what I was expecting. I did appreciate, in general, that there were a couple of mussel options. I hadn't had them in quite some time. The dinner entree was very good. I loved that there was a 1-5 spice scale to choose from. I picked level 3 and was a little worried it wouldn't be spicy enough but it definitely was! It was perfect. The sauce was good and the scallops plump. Veggies were fresh and rice sticky. I had water to drink and it was also very good (felt it deserved a mention lol). I would definitely come back here, but I would definitely order rolls next time! It's what my heart really desires! Side note: great place to indulge in for a whole food diet! I felt very satisfied from my seafood and veggies!!

The dining room is comfortable and quiet, which is perfect for dining conversations or just checking email if you are dining like I was. I will admit that the room has aged a bit but it's still clean and pleasant. My Tom Kha soup had a tasty broth and was filled with chicken. The Pad Kee Mao lacked "spiciness" even though it is described as "stir fried spicy flat rice noodles in chili sauce" and I asked for medium heat. However it tasted great but I know it would be even better with heat. So, my update still rewards 5 stars and if you are looking for Thai this is a great option?
