They gave me extra pillows and allowed me to lay on my sides. They asked about pressure preferences for the massage and if we had any areas to focus on. My boyfriend was worried because he doesn't like rough massages but he said she did great and the masseuse helped get rid of the pain he had. I would definitely recommend coming here. My husband and I came here for a couples massage and were really happy with the service we received. The ladies working were so friendly and the ambiance in our room was really lovely. The massages were fantastic. A couple of things to note: I'd highly recommend making an appointment as they take walk ins and the place seemed really busy on the Saturday afternoon we were there. So busy that they were turning people away. Second, and this is for anyone weird about privacy, the rooms do not have full height walls and the doorways have doors, but also curtains that are maybe used in lieu of the door sometimes. The doors were used for us, but we could hear every conversation happening because of the few feet of open space above all of the rooms. I have been coming here off and on for the past few years and after the ownership change, the service has steadily gone down. Today was the LAST time. Therapist with very hard and not rhythm other movements. Told her 3 times to lighten up the pressure. I also told her the room was roasting. Rather than turn on the AC, she opened the door! talk about lack of privacy and just trying to keep noise out... And I will skip over the body noises that emitted from her body and the forthcoming odor. And will skip over the sneeze on the back of my neck! She was masked, but still... Ended the massage after 20 min, paid $30 and left. I have noticed the owner does not respond to bad reviews, only good one's, so I doubt I will hear anything, but no worries. I had never tried this place before and was nervous to go to a new massage place randomly (I typically only get massages at my Chiro office but they were all booked up). But, my migraine was persisting and I knew a massage was the only thing that would help, so I called one evening around 5pm. They had an appt for me within the hour. I had a massage with Emma, and let me tell you - it was one of the best massages I've ever had. Now, I've been getting massage 2-3 times a month for almost 10 years now and I know what I like in a massage. This was in my top 5 for sure! Perfect pressure, I didn't have to ask her to push harder (which, sadly, I find myself doing too often), and she checked in with me consistently about the pressure. I have come to this massage spot for over 2 years because I felt comfortable and always felt like their services were very good. The masseuses always did a great job. I showed up today July 13 at 7:30 and received the worst massage . This lady started off being extremely rough, massaging my shoulders and neck so hard that she was banging into my head. She then took off my hair tie and proceeded to untangle my hair aggressively with her fingers. I had to tell her to stop and she did. She then moved on to the hot stones, and applied the stones on my lower back and left them there knowing they were very hot and she almost burned me. I had to remove the stones myself because they were so hot. She then moved to my legs and was rubbing my right leg with one hand for the longest time and I felt like she was doing something with her other hand because she would pause and rubbed my calf for a while. I had a terrible gut feeling that some thing felt off. She kept trying to spread my leg and I kept resisting her and she then told me to relax. At this point, I'm feeling extremely uncomfortable and I stopped her massage just before I flipped over supine and told her that I was done and that I was going home. I don't know if she understood me or not, when I walked out, she came out behind me and asked me if I was feeling OK. I said no I'm going home and I told her she was extremely rough with me and I felt uncomfortable. She chuckled and said "OK." She looked mad even ... this is not a place I'd ever let my mom come to ... it's really sad that I can no longer go to my favorite massage spot but I can't return because she made me feel very uncomfortable. I came here a handful of times, the first few times were great. I was happy, but then I had two bad experiences in a row and just decided to stop going. I feel bad because I want to support local massage salons. The first time I paid (before massage was given)with cash $59 for an hour, I gave her 3 20 dollar bills and she put it all in her pocket. (A total of $60) I was waiting for a dollar back, but she never gave it to me, & I felt uncomfortable asking. I know it's just a dollar, but it's kind of strange for her to keep any of my change. The massage was okay, but then became painful because for half of it she completely skipped lotion. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was just a one time thing, but the EXACT SAME thing happened the next time as well. I asked my massage therapist to ask the women in the lobby to speak softer and she did. There were no other problems after that. I had a 60 minute massage and 30 minute body scrub. Alina did a great job; relaxing and responsive. I had never had a table shower scrub before so it was different, but I left so relaxed and soft skin. Plus their dishwasher or washing machine was on which was making so much noise . And next door at the yoga place there a class going on with loud music couldn't enjoy the massage their was too much noise . I wish I had made an appointment with Rebeca. Paid $90 for a reflexology foot massage for my daughter and I. Total waste of money. Although the people were nice the masseuse did not give a reflexology massage. She simply rubbed our feet then scrubbed them using foot rub and a towel. She massaged our shoulders and neck also. Absolutely terrible. I have been here two times prior for whole body massages but this was the absolute worst. I talked to them and tried to rectify this seeing how unsatisfied we were and they did nothing but tried to convince me that everyone has a masseuse license and do in fact know what a reflexology massage entails. This was our first time here, we arrived 15mins early for our scheduled 4pm 90min couples massage. Only to be told, sorry they gave the appointment to someone else, they rescheduled us for 530 and offered to give us a discount. We came back at 530 and they took us to the first rooms on the left inside the door. Our massage therapists came in and started working on both of us. Unfortunately this was the worst experience we have both had, we should have walked out. The staff was in and out of the room constantly I lost count after the 10th time. There was other staff who came in the room asking them questions in the middle of our massages. I'm willing to bet I had three different massage therapists, my partner thinks she had four. I like a deep massage but at one point it felt like my massage therapist gave me a WWE Elbow Drop. I jumped to the side of the table and was in a deep different type of pain, then I have felt before. I said ouch she responded oh you don't like hard, you like medium. SMH..... no pretty sure you just hit me, elbowed or kneed me. I'm not sure now what type of establishment this is, she turned my back into a slip-and-slide with massage oil, with a shallow pool in the small of my back. I've never had someone rub my butt cheek/thigh like that except for my partner. I've also never had a massage therapist lift my sheet multiple times clearly looking at my ass, before she grabbed my underwear and pulled my thong up my ass. Once on my back I was enjoying the head and neck massage until she grabbed my ears and tried to rip them off of my head. She then ran her hands down my chest and across my stomach. Won't be back, won't recommend a single person to come here. Confident, these aren't licensed massage therapists.
