I recently got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed on July 18 and was not under any anesthesia. During the procedure, it was completely painless besides the numbing needles, however it depends on how you handle needles. Therefore, the wisdom teeth procedure was not painful at all and I felt like I could fall asleep during it lol. Dr. Minh is a great dentist and the staff are always nice! i went to sun park for a broken tooth to be pulled a week after heart surgery. went in for the exam did cleaning wrote a 3 phase treatment plan that included replacing crowns that did not brother me. I told them I'm on a fixed income can't afford it just the tooth. they gave me prescription for antibiotics next day I go in paid in advance bal not covered by insurance. Sat in the chair the Doctor asked what was i their for i said the broken tooth that's cutting me . He said no this way better did not pull me broken tooth. instead pulled my crown thyat was not a issue replaced it with a temp. and cost me cost 5000 did it again next visit not until the 4th visit did he pull the tooth. there more but ill run out of space????? read more

0 star for me , Ive been going and found out they always charge my insurance with procedures i did not do, this also happens to my friend who by mistake i referred to them. They will also charge more than what it supposed too. They always find a way to make you pay even a little bit ...even for your regular cleaning , which is supposed to be free because covers it 100 percent. Staff is nice , the place is nice but if you want to be charge extra and exhaust your benefit from your insurance you are in the right place.....Will never ever come back here again. read more

I've been going to Sun Park for over a year now, and am continually impressed with the quality of their dental work and their welcoming, friendly staff. I've had both crowns and fillings done. Today is a special shoutout to Mandeep, their phenomenal hygienist. She cares and really takes the time to work with you. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Seeing that I don't have health insurance, Sun-Park Dental still takes care of me. Recently, I found a coupon for a free whitening and x-ray for another dentist and came there. The dentist was super snobby and tried to rip me off! She was a recent graduate from some school that wasn't in California, and told me I had six cavities. Immediately, I wanted a second opinion and went back to Sun-Park Dental. Dr. Nguyen (the husband) examined my teeth carefully and told me that I only had one cavity that was severely damaged; the rest weren't bad and didn't need a filling. He competitively waived my payment, so I was going to pay less than what I was expected to at the other place! In addition, the dental procedures and instruments that they have here are top-notch, top of the line, straight up make you comfortable. I used to be afraid of going to the dentist as a kid to my early adult-years, until I came here. Those magnets used for x-raying your teeth that sometimes hurt like a beezy at certain dental offices are painless here. And those drilling that hurt at other dental offices certainly do not hurt here as much since they numb the pain away with yummy, bubble gum flavored, topical anesthetics. There's also a TV in screen for you to easily ease your mind while they do work! The customer service here definitely takes care of you too. Lisa, the front receptionist, remembers your name, your face, and your medical history like no other. She, along with the rest of the employees, treat you like you're their priority. The Dentists for people who don't like Dentists... I have been going to Sun Park Dental for about seven years now; starting when I was living out in Rocklin. They are a rare practice, as the consistency of their service has been remarkable; remarkable enough that I STILL go out to see them now and living over 20 miles away. From the time you enter their practice you can expect prompt and courteous service. (The AWESOME!!) Lisa and Jennifer are at the front desk, and are always warm, friendly, and professional. They have always helped accomodate my scheduale and needs. I have literally never waited more than a few minutes to be called back and seated for my exam. I bring something to read almost all the time (out of habit), but never have an opportunity to do so! Clearly your time is valued and your patronage appreciated. You can enjoy watching TV during your visit, as each exam chair has one mounted in front of it, but you won't have time to get too involved with that either. I know I said courteous and prompt, but quick is also an apt description. I feel like they are done with me before I know it! I was impressed with all their technology when I started coming to them. From their digital x-ray capture and computer file documentation to their ultrasonic teeth cleaning instruments, your dental health and comfort are obviously at the forefront of their minds. My old practice in Michigan did the old scraping technique by a hygenist, but the Doctors here do the cleanings themselves with the help of a hygenist. The ultrasonic method is not painful ever, and much quicker! The Doctors (Husband and Wife) are very kind people and as ethical as they come. Even when they have had to do fillings, the novicane was expertly administered and working before long. I was surprised because I always had gotten nitrice oxide and I have never had novicane until recently. As long as I live in this area they WILL be my dental practice. Wonderful Dentist Dr. Minh Nguyen is a great, wonderful and professional Dentist. I had broken my crown and Dr. Nguyen was able to get me in the same day and even made me a new one that day. With my insurance, my out of pocket cost was very reasonable and I am a very happy customer. :) :) :) In fact, I am so pleased with Dr. Nguyen that I made him mine and my family's regular dentist. When you walk into the office, you'll be warmly greeted Lisa or Jen, who will take care of everything for you at the office, except the dental procedures of course. The dental assistants here are diverse and multilingual, and since the dentists are a nice Vietnamese couple, it's quite appealing to the Vietnamese community. The dentists are very welcoming and are very thorough in their work. They really do take care of you, like professionals should. They're very organized with their schedule and will get to you in a timely manner, give you've arrived on time. I can't recall a time where I've had to wait long for my appointment. The only thing here worth the 5 star is Lisa and the cleanliness of the office. Everything else is a 1 star for me. My family has been going here since I was in middle school, I'm now in college but I stopped going to them since last year. I went in for a fill and I received the numbing shot, only for my right side to be numb for WEEKS. I expressed my concern and the dentist said it could be like that for a few weeks and it'll go away. It didn't go away for months, and I feel like my body has gotten use to it being numb so I can't tell the difference now. On top of that my dad also goes here and he had his dentures made here. About 4-6 months in (I can't remember exactly when but it was fairly new) and one tooth fell off from the dentures. Like what?? So my dad went to go get that fixed and a month after another tooth fell off. Keep in mind we paid a lot for these dentures. Fast forward to about the 1 1/2 year mark and his top dentures CRACKED IN HALF. We went to them and they charged him $300 to fix it but they also charged our insurance. I feel like the quality of their work and material just isn't up to par with other dentistries. When my wisdom teeth was growing, they told me two of my wisdom teeth were laying too close to nerves so I would have to go see a specialist. She recommended me take out two in their office and then the two at the specialist. They don't see whats best for the interest of the patient, in my opinion they only do whatever gets more money in their pockets. Well I go to a better dentistry that is closer to my house so I'm not complaining but I want others to know my experience before they go in here. read more

My crown broke in half on Sunday night and had plans to leave the country for vacation on Wednesday. I called first thing Monday morning and the staff and Dr. Nguyen agreed to see me at 9am that day. He put extra time a side to get my crown fully installed in the same day so I didn't have to stress about being toothless in a foreign country. I wouldn't expect that service from any company so that truly shows the type of people they are. Dr. Nguyen did an amazing job on my new crown and couldn't have asked for a better experience. To be honest, I had a pre-conceived notion that this dental office was wonderful just from having a co-worker enthusiastically recommend them and from having talked to the Front Counter person on the phone, when making my appointment. She was just great! If I didn't know the exact terminology or exactly what questions to ask, she was patient and very helpful. However, when I went to my first appointment, two of the ladies working in the inner office were short, and rather curt with me. One was the x-ray person. She may have been in a hurry, but did not need to act as if I was fighting her, when all I was trying to do was to accommodate any position she wanted me in. The other gal did the x-ray in the back, and she was also very short with me! Her tone reflected her impatience. I don't like being treated like that and had almost decided just from that to never return, however, after meeting and talking with the Dr., I felt much better. He seems very knowledgeable and has a soft mannerism. He was extremely willing to work with me and consequently, I decided to return to this office. read more
