UPDATE 12/16/2023 To start with, ownership has changed making the food quality extremely swerve. I got the classic beef bulgogi combo, and it lost its nice balance of flavors within it. It just tasted of a bit of salt and spice with no uniqueness. The egg rolls tasted mediocre now, and the sweet n sour sauce is that cheap package sauce that taste awful. Hopefully they can fix their problems, I only wish for their improvements. I can't recommended this place anymore for its lack of quality control. Food is made to eat! Very delicious and fresh! Prices are reasonable given that everything is going up. I got the chicken bulgolgi and it was very good! Everyone hyped it up so I ate that, you can get it whatever spice level you want. My hubby got General Tso's he said it was different than usual but still liked it. OMG HIDDEN GEM We drove by this place on the way to another. We saw it and said we need to try that place sometime. As luck would have it, our original destination was closed so we decided to try Suns kitchen now. The service is amazing, greetings upon entering and very helpful with questions about the menu, fast friendly service. They cook your food right after you order and right in front of you. They bring it fresh and hot to your table. The flavors just explode in your mouth, well spiced and well cooked. The menu prices are reasonable between 8 and 12 dollars a plate. The place is small but very clean, they will grow they are that good. Side note the sweet tea is good. They came to the table mid meal to make sure we were happy with our food and to make sure we didn't need anything else. What can I say about Suns kitchen that I haven't already told Elaina, which by the way is the owner. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Temple. They are such great people and are always so kind. The food is absolutely delicious. I always get the spicy Bulgogi and they have never let me down! Her husband is a great cook and her dad is just so sweet back there helping them. It's a family affair. Back to the food, the eggrolls are the best eggrolls in town. Their egg drop soup is off the chain and the sweet tea is banging! Now they have become special to me. Not only because the food is great, but because the service is always so good! Elaina is the sweetest person you will ever meet. She is a complete blessing to me honestly. All of this because we ate there and we're hooked after the first serving. This used to be one of my go-to lunch spots in Temple. It used to be fresh food cooked while you wait, and while you watched. No longer. What happened? I was in the store today and there was nobody but the owner. She took my order, and rummaged around in the back, now blocked off from view. The resulting bulgogi beef order was meh, small little beef chips, some hard veggies, and a sauce that lacked the wonderful originality I liked here. The prices have gone up a lot, and although it was done fast, it tasted like it had been pre-portioned and cooked ahead of time. I do not think I will be coming back. Sun's kitchen is now under new ownership (I think since late June) and sadly, it is not the same. Prices have increased and the food portions are much smaller. They no longer offer the dinner special (1 egg roll or crab rangoon or dumpling + soup added to your entree) and if you want the meal special, they won't even let you substitute out the egg rolls like before. Also, they no longer put crab in their rangoons, just cream cheese. Overall, the food is nothing compared to what we were used to, and I'll miss the original staff that knew my name and order by heart. We won't be returning. read more

Fried rice was great, it's how fried rice should be. The orange chicken actually had more chicken than batter--in fact there wasn't any batter, so you really got a good deal given they don't skimp on meat. Only con was that it was a tad too sweet. Overall 8.5/10 My other half had the beef bulgogi and white rice. He said it was so so. I tried it and thought it could use more of the Korean bbq taste. It did taste a bit "watered down" with the sauce. Could use some improvement in that part. Over all 6/10 Egg rolls- really liked it. You walk in and they have the dishes you can order in the wall with photos and I love it that they also cook the food in front of you behind a glass, so you know it is freshly cooked. I love this place. You wont find nicer people than here. The food is fresh and clean. They give healthy portions and the meal comes with 2 egg rolls and a drink. Chicken is white. They have very reasonable apps too. They had no problem substituting 1 egg roll with a crab ragoon. I love the bits of spice in their fresh made sweet n sour sauce. Kung pao chicken, not over sauced, white meat nice big crunchy veg and lots of peanuts. Just spicy enough to to make you sniff a little. Lol perfect.
