One of the Internet Sales Managers, Ryan Hinkley, contacted me shortly thereafter and I met with him the next day. There was no pressure, and he did everything he could to find a car with the features I wanted. They didn't have on on the lot but get one from a dealer about 50 miles away. During the whole process, Ryan kept in touch with me and let me know what was going on. I couldn't be happier with my new car! Drove over from the Space Coast to look at the car..he did not like the car but test drove a truck and like it going back and forth with the price and trade in..come up with a final offer. It was still 2,000 above he budget...He went home and talked it over with family members.....in the meantime the sales person texted his daughter and she told the sales person the price was to high and we needed to be at this price or close to it...he told her to come back and see what we can work out. She replied we will be there in a hour and half. After arriving looked over the truck again and test drove the truck we sat down to go over the price......The sales lady Frank wound NOT even honor there offer from the day before and she explained is did not know what kind of games they (their sales person was playing games... you know we get all kinds of people in here so do not get offended) WHAT..WOW.......NOW we have 3 different piece of paper with different price for the vehicle, different trade in in value with a $1,500 difference...how can a car gain and loose that much value in less than 24 hours. Also would not give the CPO on vehicle unless we pay $900 more for it. Long story short after insulting us because the first sales person did not think we were serious and they were just playing games with the price...REALLY we traveled from the Space Coast to Orlando a hour away and they want to play games....This is a big name dealership, not a buy here pay here lot. My daughter has brought her car in numerous times to have it serviced for the brakes tires things of that nature, and service manager Robert, is so smug and unprofessional, that he gives false information, stands around with his hands in his pockets, and refuses to give any proper assistance. I had a recall repair scheduled with service department for my airbag. I scheduled a week earlier for my day off. I had given them all my info including VIN number recall notice # and was assured they had the part. I arrived and waited for my scheduled service writer. He arrives brushes past me and starts trying to get my vin number. I explained they already have it. He then tells me we have to order the part. I explain this was scheduled and they should have it. He says they don't have the part and they can order it. I ask why the scheduled the appointment ? Also why did no one call and cancel the appointment? He didn't know . No apology nothing. I asked to talk to service manager he said he was not available. I called later and asked to talk to service manger. I got Brad's voicemail I left a message and have not heard back. To The: Sun State Family or F.R.A.N.K. In the year of February of 2015 I purchased a Mustang GT. I really loved the car but in life things change and I found myself driving a lot of highway miles and I realized that this was not the car for me anymore. So, Friday 2/9/2018 I stopped by the Dealer to talk to the guys in The Accessories Department. Since I worked with them on installation of tinting, an exhaust system and a few other things. I knew they are the guys to help me in my concerns that I was dealing with. So I was talking with Kevin Green, about how every time I get on the highway there is always one or two cars that wanted to race me. Which in today's time I'm not into racing on the street just on a track where there is a safe way to go fast. Mind you, I really love the car but I found my self torn on what to do. Because, I felt harassed when ever I drove. That's when Kevin Green said, " It sound like you need to move into a different car. Because you don't want to hate it.That's not good for you and the car. In life sometimes you got to break ties and move forward." So he introduced me to Brandon Jurasevich, a salesman on the floor. Kevin Green, relayed the concerns I had to Brandon, and he asked what I wanted to look at. I told him the Fiesta ST. We got to talking about the car and I sat in it as he was showing me all the things it has. He asked if I had time to test drive and I said, " Can we do it Monday?" Then Brandon and I set up a time. Well, Monday 2/12/2018 I brought my Mustang GT and Will Watkins the Sales Manager, did a test drive and appraised it and Brandon and I test drove the Fiesta ST. When we were driving we had a good conversation about the Fiesta's ride. When we got back to the dealership I asked Brandon Jurasevich about the extended warranty and the maintenance agreement that I wouldn't be able to use since I was selling the Mustang. He and I looked at them and also the Kelly Blue Book of what the Mustang was worth. Brandon said, ' Let me show this and talk to Will Watkins the Sales Manager. After a few minutes Brandon came back with the offer and I said, " Wow." I thought to myself, everything I was hoping to get was met. I said, let's do this. After some time while things were getting prepared Will Watkins and talked about the X-Force exhaust system that I had Accessories put on the Mustang a few years ago. Also, he reaffirmed me that the Fiesta ST will be fun vehicle to drive. About that time I met with the Finance Manager Robert Mercado. He was asking me a couple of questions to make sure he had the right person, then asked me to go see Kevin Green to get the owner manual along with the other items that belong to the car. He explained everything and how they would work in protecting the Fiesta ST. He made me feel comfortable in the process of signing the paperwork. Purchased 2007 Mustang (Certified Used) from this Sun State Ford March 2011. Have had issues with water leaking inside every time it rains (passenger side). I moved to Orlando in 2016, and have been on the hunt ever since to find a vehicle service company who cares as much about my truck as I do. After a overzealous mechanic stripped my oil pan, and forgot to tighten some new radiator hoses (cough Firestone cough), I was at wits end and willing to drive half way across the state if it meant finding a company I could trust. After a mechanic at another service establishment stated I had a failing differential and told me to take it to the dealership, I found Sun State Ford and more specifically Maurice. He was incredibly respectful of my time and on more lengthy repairs, checked in on me frequently. He even recommended against a maintenance service I had requested, and was very thorough in his explanation why (engineer by degree here). Never have I had a service company recommend against not charging me more money for a service. Long story short, Maurice and the dealership have my loyalty and I plan on returning for all my truck and body shop needs as long as I am living in Florida. read more

You never know what you're going to get when using the service department. Always have to check the work and sometimes that is hard to do. Over filled the oil 2 out of the last 5 oil changes. Like at least 1 to 1.5 quarts over. Last time the service rep and mechanic gave me issues for even checking. Then after they took another hour to fix it the car keyed. To start off, I have always been a loyal customer here and have spent over $100k on two vehicles and only get it serviced there. I had glow plugs on my Harley diesel truck replaced there in 2015 and a week later my truck broke down out of town and the mechanic there blamed it on sunstate ford. I chalked it up and never said a word. I take my truck there a couple of weeks ago as someone hit my truck door while it was open and pay them list price to go. It through insurance and let them know that I'm selling the truck and please go through the entire vehicle test everything and Bill me for anything that is close to going wrong or will soon as I care about the person buying my truck as they are a customer of mine. Pay around $4800 for an all out Checkup as I don't have the time to come back and forth working six days a week. We go to pick it up, I pay and we get less than 3 miles down the road and the truck will not get out of first gear! I then spend most of my day paying someone to follow the truck back and they tell me the technician must of missed that it didn't fix the hose and tell me sorry they were too busy to fi. It that day and they will try for the next day. 3 days later, not even an apology or a discount or even a phone call from anyone just another shaft. I can not speak for the sales people in this location but the service center is full of a bunch of clowns. I went to get a recall fixed on my car today and from the moment I walked in I had a bad experience. First of all out of the three people sitting in there none of them could take a moment to look up from their computer or phone to greet me. After a few moments two of the employees began a conversation among themselves before getting to me. Then all the guy had to say was "do you have an appointment" no hello sorry for the wait. I told him I did and he immediately sent me to the back saying the guy in the back can do that I don't do recalls. Then when I got to the back and waited ten minutes for the guy to get through 7 customers he told me that the people up front could help me to which I promptly told him they said they don't do recalls and he rolled his eyes. If I was paying for service I would have already left. Its a shame that there are so many good reviews about the sales team and I didn't get to see that. UsuallyI like to check out the new cars while I wait and since a need a new truck thought perfect day for a recall, but I wont give this place a penny. I've brought my truck in 3 times now for the same reoccurring issue. Most recently, dropped my truck off last Thursday to begin service on the same issue and being Monday they are supposedly just now beginning the work on it inconveniencing me out of a vehicle. This is 100% the WORST dealership you can go to. You have the GM Linda who is completely irrational and only cares about herself. You have creepy salesman with attitude problems that only care about making money. And as for the service department, they are slow, nonchalant, and don't tend to your needs. If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. You go in for an oil change and wait two hours. You go in to get new tires and wait six hours when there are zero customers. I have bought a 2016 F-150 from them and they checked my credit so much my score actually DROPPED. I bring in my truck weeks later for my "free first oil change" and they deny me. I speak to Linda personally and she has no care in the world about my situation and asks me why I'm contacting her when she's "busy". Please avoid this horrible dealership at any possible cost. I found my sons car online. He was so excited. Beautiful car. He is very tall and it fit him just right. We were pre approved by our credit union before even going. When We first met the salesman I felt I could trust him. We were upfront with him. Told him our price range etc. it was a Sunday, my son was excited to take the car. Unfortunately he was hit on the way to his uncles funeral and he needed a new vehicle. The salesman said we could just sign the papers and touch base on Monday to make sure everything was good. We called Monday 3 times, no return call. We called the salesman and the finance department several times the whole week with no return call. Finally we get a call like 2 weeks later, the credit union denied the loan because sunstate wrote up the loan wrong. Had to resign papers and get a new temp tag. Another 2 weeks go buy, we still haven't gotten papers from the bank saying when the payment is due and haven't gotten a tag. So we call, had to go to the credit union because sunstate doesn't call people back. There is another issue with the loan. Then because my sons birthday came and we still hadn't received the yellow sticker and registration my son got pulled over twice, once at gun point because the tag is showing registered to a white ford truck but he got a black car with black tinted windows so it looked stolen. So I call sunstate again. They overnighted us the sticker and new registration but as far as orange counties records the tag is still registered to my sons truck. Great car! But sunstate doesn't know what they are doing and have no customer service skills. Do not go to them. Also there was a recall on a part that prevented the car from being put in park. So my son called and they told him to bring the car in. So he took off work and 10 minutes before he got there they called him and said that he talked to a new guy and he didn't know what he was talking about. So they couldn't do it that day. How is that my sons fault. So for a week my son had to keep messing around with this part to try to make it work so he could get back and forth to work. I will never buy from them again. What a great experience! This is the second time I have brought my Ford Explorer into Sun State Ford for maintenance and/or minor issues. The service department is great and Maurice, in particular, is stellar!! My 10-year-old has an absolute obsession with the Ford Transit... don't ask me, I can't explain it, either, seems like he should aim higher....like a Shelby, but, I digress. While we were waiting for my vehicle, Maurice took time out of his schedule to take us out into the lot and let my son get up close and personal with one of the Transits. You should have seen his face light up! He was very excited, we took pictures I'll tease him with when he's older, etc. We are always treated with the utmost respect when we come to this dealership and they go above and beyond in regards to customer service. Bought a new Fiesta in 2011 from them and had problems with the transmission 2 weeks after purchasing the vehicle and it's been a nightmare ever since. I'm currently at a loss because the vehicle says the Transmission is Malfunctioning although Sunstates service department told me numerous times there was nothing wrong with my transmission. The clutch has been replaced nearly ten times. Shady business practices to say the least. I will NEVER again purchase a vehicle from Sunstates. Telling me that delayed acceleration is normal functions of a car is crazy. So now I am paying on a vehicle I can't even drive. Thanks a lot Sunstate. read more

I was looking for a new car for seemingly 10 years and finally decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I tried a car that I was really stoked about from another brand, but after the test drive I realized it wasn't a fit. So I switched gears and went to Sun State Ford. I worked with David Paris, whom both my girlfriend and I liked very much. He has been doing this for a long time and he really made it simple and clear. I had been pre-approved from my bank for a loan with a great rate, so he didn't bother pulling my credit because he knew they couldn't match it and he didn't want to ding my credit for no reason. I really appreciated that. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and I never felt like they were selling me something they didn't believe in, it was always a "well, you could get this, but you might not need" type thing. Which was nice to not have a pushy salesman on you about every upgrade. The only downside, and something I'm still confused about is Fords 60 minute guarantee. Apparently they guarantee you to be in an out in an hour (is what it read as to me), but in reality, my girlfriend and I were there for 5 hours, and I think the 60 minute thing is from when you start paper work, which I guess they did accomplish. The last car I bought was pretty much the same experience, so I guess it just how it is. But in the end David was really helpful and thorough, and I won't hesitate to call him if I have any questions. read more

Purchased 2012 VW from their Previously owned department with a FORD trade in, my third Ford in a 15 year customer relationship with FORD brand. When the "new,previously owned" car SunstateFord sold me for my Ford trade-in failed due to electrical, manufacturing error; they refused to assist with the repairs. Absolutely NO customer service!They basically said, " You should have bought our extended warranty!" The pressure to purchase the "extended warranty" was there during the purchase but the car's "2012 model" and the "VolksWagon" name overuled the necessity to add to the purchase price and ultimate the estimated monthly payment. A Free Oil change was included as PROMO after 90 days. After the SunstateFord oil change, the top of oil cap was not secured, so my driveway had leak stains. When I returned car to SUNstateFord, they said it was an oversight; shortly after that the car simply stopped. Because it is all electrical, I thought it was a battery problem. But battery check stated that battery was fine. Unable to drive car, returned to SunstateFord Service Department and they sent me to David Maus VWagon who insisted that the fuel pump and fuel sensor needed to be replace and that would resolve battery drain car was experience. I am not very car savvy but the battery and the fuel pump? They would not guareentee this was the fix and the wanted around a grand to complete the repair. I returned to SunstateFord who send me to GM Linda. At no point did they say, let us look it over and we will fix it. There might be a cost to you but lets get you back on road as a satisfied customer: The cost to them might have been a reduced amount of profit from the repair but the positive customer satisfaction rating would have been out of the roof! They literally double teamed me and shooed me off premise. So, like Kelly H., Kelsi A., Patty M., and even Mikey E's documentation of SunstateFords's treatment of customers, we are ALL telling the TRUTH: Sunstate Ford Dealership business practices are CLEARLY Questionable and maybe Pam Bondi and her "LEMON Law" group need to take a look at their treatment of their CarSalescustomers.
