From the start, the initial call was helpful, and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The manager was great--he was patient, informative, and really took the time to walk me through the options. I opted for the higher-end Stratos series, with 70% tint on the windshield and sunroof, and 30% on the sides. I went with the 30% on the sides for a good balance between looks and function, though in hindsight, I might have gone with a 40% or 50% just to reduce the chance of being pulled over. But that's a subjective decision, and I can still see fine at night with the 30%, so it works. After having the Stratos for a while, I'll admit that I didn't notice as much of a difference as I expected between it and a high-quality ceramic film. If I were to do it again, I'd probably consider going with their regular ceramic for the side windows and keep the Stratos on the windshield and sunroof, where it does feel like a noticeable upgrade in terms of heat rejection and clarity. There were some small air bubbles in the tint, particularly on the sunroof, but I gave it a little time. When they didn't go away, I gave the shop a call. They were really accommodating, and the manager had no hesitation in bringing me in to replace the sunroof tint. I appreciate how they handled this--it's hard to get tint perfect every time (unless you're working in a clean room), but they were eager to make sure I was satisfied, which goes a long way in my book. One minor hiccup was that the price I was quoted online was a bit different than what I was told in the shop. The website has some helpful details, but it showed a car sunroof (rather than a small SUV), which resulted in a higher price. Not a huge deal, and I understand that things can get mixed up, especially with a newer website. When I brought it up in-store, they gave me an upfront quote that was just a little higher than expected (maybe around $70 more), but they were clear about it, and they also offer a nice military veteran discount. I didn't push them to honor the online price because I felt the situation was understandable and fair. Another nice touch was that they use professional software for invoicing, which I didn't see at another shop I've worked with in the past. It adds a level of professionalism that I really appreciated. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, with a waiting area and a restroom. I liked that they had a display showing all their tint options, plus a helpful booklet with examples, so I could see how different tints would look in my car before making a final choice. When I came back for the replacement tint, I was told it would take about an hour. However, I didn't hear anything for a few hours, so I called and was informed that the job was actually done and ready. A small communication hiccup, but no big deal--just something to keep in mind. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect 5-star (4.75 out of 5, though I did round up) review is the small price discrepancy, the initial bubble issue, and the slight difference I noticed with the Stratos compared to ceramic, but considering how quickly they addressed everything and how great the overall experience was, I'm still very satisfied. They truly care about customer service, and I'd definitely recommend Tint Plus if you're looking for a quality tint job with fair pricing, professional service, and great attention to detail.

Lesson learned you truly get what you pay for. This was my third time coming back to Signature Glass Tinting and once again they exceeded my expectations. They have a new location (at least new to me) which it seems they leveled up big time. Ryan and Reese provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. Ryan was knowledgeable, professional and took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel pressured and even got me in sooner than I expected. I went with 20% XPEL XR Black on my 2026 Mercedes AMG GLE 53 to match my car and the tint looks incredible. The color blends almost perfectly with the OEM factory privacy glass giving the vehicle a clean, factory-installed appearance. One thing I really appreciate is their pricing. The quote they give you is the price you pay no extra charge for using a credit card, no surprise taxes added at the end and no hidden fees. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about other tint shops I've used in the past. I'm so sorry for not having thought about Yelp sooner, for this company, for the incredible window film they installed. They did the whole house job, almost 2 years ago now, and talk about an instant return on investment!!! My office desk faces a rather large window that gets a whole lot of morning to noon direct sun. I think it was nearly $3k for the job...looking back, I should have given them much more! I interviewed several companies and finally decided to go with SunTamers. One of the major selling points, was their guarantee, not just on replacing window film, but for the Dual Pane Windows Themselves! Not to break! The installer arrived about 8.30am and I was already sweating in my chair. My window was the first one the Installer did, and I immediately noticed a great increase in comfort/decrease in heat coming in. And, quite literally, I quit sweating, as he was installing the Film. I knew right then, that it was worth every penny of it. I expected to notice SOME cooling, but Nothing to the extent that I actually experienced, sitting in the sun, as the film was being applied! And cooling off, as he worked! The very next day, we noticed how much longer the house stayed cooler through the morning, and did so throughout the summer. And of course, during Winter, the house stays warmer longer, with less ON time of the furnace! It has also reduced outdoor noise from coming in ... neighborhood noises, Gardeners and Trash pickup noise is greatly subdued. We didn't notice the darkening of the rooms, as we thought we might. And the rooms have a much bigger feel and is actually brighter, since we can leave our blinds wide open because of the Film. Yet outsiders don't see in. Well, unless it's dark out and we have the lights on inside. But even that is dimmed to outsiders, from the technology of the Film. I interviewed 3 or 4 different companies, which proved to be an education that I needed. I hadn't realized how far Window Films have advanced! Another company had a slightly lower price, but I really wanted to give the local company our business, so I mentioned it to Suntamers and they agreed to match the lower price. And None of the other companies had any kind of guarantees near to what Sun Tamers offers! After the first few days of looking over the installation with a critical eye, we did find the tiniest of blemishes in the material. Quite literally the size of a pin head. Not at all visible from more than 3' away. I called them, and they had it repaired, completely replacing the whole film on that window, within a day or two, no questions asked. I don't remember all of the technical info, but we have been so much happier than we ever expected. Window films have really come a long way! If you want to start saving on utility bills instantly, this is a relatively inexpensive and immediate way to go. Or even if you already have solar, it will make your solar savings even better. I don't know all the technical stuff, but I can show you what I like about what we chose and what I didn't like about other films. We were referred to this company by our leasing office, to have tint put on our office space. We were very specific in the fact that we wanted the lightest tint available that would reduce heat. Long story short they ended up installing a darker shade. When I contacted them, not only did they take a while to respond, they blamed it on me stating that "I accepted the contract, and that they can't be responsible for me not liking the color of the tint". Frank said, "That's like asking the painter to repaint because you don't like the color you chose". While I agree that would not be appropriate, this situation was quite different. When Frank came out to bid the job I was very specific in what I wanted. I wanted the lightest possible outcome to make it so our office was visible from the outside in which he confirmed was 70%. He left some samples to show the difference between the ceramic and not ceramic tint. Needless to say when the invoice came and I called to schedule a time for the job they never asked me what percentage of tint I wanted and I didn't think anything of it because as far as I was concerned they knew what I expected. I did choose the type of tint, and went with the ceramic as Frank said that was the best, and that was what most retail businesses would use that want visibility of the store from the outside. Frank also mentioned after the fact, that our glass had factory tint so that also played a part in how dark it was. It would have been nice to have that fact prior to paying for the tint to be done. Long story short the tint was never replaced. Frank offered to replace one section so that my lighted signage would come through better, but that was not what we wanted we wanted to be able to see into our office from the outside. Frank claimed that I was calling him a liar, and wanted me to "apologize in person with a handshake" and then he would come out and replace all of our tint. I advised him that I was not calling him a liar, but that he was in fact insinuating that I was a liar and that I had specified that I wanted the 40% tint. I reminded him that I was the customer, and that if anyone needed to apologize it was him. He said that he had a recording of my request and I asked him to forward it to me and if that was the case I would just take the tint down and he could walk away, but that never happened. I also told him that if he handled this situation and took care of it properly I would give him a good review for fixing the mistake. He obviously didn't take that opportunity so I am now providing him the review that he earned. I have email conversation if anyone is interested to show that this is a legitimate review. He has other good reviews, but it's easy to install tint, what really counts is when something goes wrong, do you take care of your customer. read more

Like you, when I read Yelp reviews I hope they are genuine, unbiased and NOT generated by a relative, friend or the actual business owners. I assure you this is none of the above. My first encounter with Sun Tamers in Laguna Niguel was in February of 2005 (still have the receipt). I'm a thorough researcher of all products & services I use (coming from a family of 11 you learn to spend your money wisely). At that time I was in the market for a Window Tinting Service for my Toyota 4Runner and Sun Tamers met my criteria for product & price. Obviously I could not measure their 'service' until after the job was complete. Although I got a good idea of their quality installation process when I saw them actually remove the interior door panels to insure that the film tint went BELOW the rubber window sweeps. I returned today almost exactly 10 1/2 years later. They are in a new location (but very close to their old one) and Carlos [my original installer] is STILL there but, has been rightfully promoted to a management position. Again I received a quality Window Tint for my Toyota Highlander and-at a very competitive price--very, very close to what I paid 10 1/2 years ago. Adam Rhine/Customer Service Manager walked me through my Tint Options and gave me his professional recommendations. I sat in their comfortable lobby and did some reading. The process was less than an hour. Adam then gave me the Post Install Customer Care Recommendations. They even affixed a temporary colorful note next to my interior window switch reminding me not to roll down the windows for a couple of days while the Tint 'cured'. In a time when quality products & service seem to be on the business "Endangered Species List", it is encouraging to come across an outfit like Sun Tamers who restores faith in delivering the BEST in product & service possible. Btw--Whenever I get that house overlooking the Pacific Ocean, I'll have them do all my home windows as well !! Check 'em out-- I know you won't be disappointed. read more

"bait and switch" Charged me $550 I was quoted, $300 WTF! BUYERS BEWARE!!! Called and spoke to Frank, I told Frank this was my first time getting tinting done. I asked how much it was and he said it was impossiable to quote over the phone. So I got there and explained what I wanted done on my M3 Bmw... he said he'd keep it cheap and to come back in a few hours. I asked again , how much? "Frank I don't want you to start untill i know how much it is"... he said "how much you think, didn't you see the sign in the office with pries" I said ohh ok, then just the reg job then? ....Frank said "yes" Great, so i'm at basic pricing..... 3hours later....... Car looked awesome!!!! although I think someone had keys in their pockets when tinting because there was a scratch on my driverside door. They said that was there, however I got the car YESTERDAY!. Then I got the $550 BILL and almost had a hard attack, he told me if i didn't like it he would take it off but I'd have to pay for the labor for removing the tint. Let me start by saying I have known Frank and his Team since the late '90's when he was located at Forbes and Crown Valley. Suntamers has tinted 9 of my vehicles since then, and I would not even consider going anywhere else. Recently, I had a need for new shades on 8 of my windows in my living room. Frank came out, took measurements, made some recommendations, and introduced me to the world of automated roller shades. Frank really took the time to explain the advantages and disadvantages of different types, styles, manufacturers and pricing. I chose the SOMFY System of wireless roller shades, and I am thrilled with this system. I added matching cornices to all 8 windows, including a custom arched cornice, and it is absolutely perfect. I believe Frank and the Suntamers Team offer unmatched professionalism and customer service, and I highly recommend these guys. read more

The tint job itself was excellent, flawless application, great product quality, and fair pricing. Even after 5 years, the ceramic tint still holds up perfectly. However, the experience was overshadowed by the fact that my brand-new vehicle (delivered with only 3 miles on it) sustained paint damage while in their care. These included swirls, scratches, and even a few deep gouges. The real issue was not just the damage, but the lack of transparency, they never disclosed it. I only found out after inspecting the car myself. When I confronted them, they eventually admitted responsibility, but only after a long back-and-forth and ultimately covered just a fraction of the repair costs. Great service in terms of the tint, but the way they handled the damage left a lot to be desired. read more

I have had two of my cars tinted by Suntamers in the past few weeks and all I have to say is good things about them! They accommodated me very well and were extremely professional, although their prices may not be the lowest around (that isn't always what you want) they are hands down the best around and are perfectionists. I had a really disappointing experience with South Coast Window Tinting. I originally contacted…read morethem about two weeks ago to have the two front windows tinted on my new BMW X5. I called multiple times, left voicemails, filled out the online form on their website, and even stopped by their location, but couldn't get ahold of anyone. I finally reached someone on a Saturday and was told I'd hear back Tuesday. I never did, so I called again Wednesday and scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 11 AM. The Thursday appointment was then canceled, which was frustrating because I had already rearranged my work schedule and planned to work from home that day. Still, I understood and agreed to reschedule for Friday. I had to completely reschedule my work once again and show up late. I showed up Friday at our scheduled time, and no one was there. I knocked on the door, called, texted, tried the business number, and even spoke with the front desk at the car wash. I waited about 25 minutes and never heard anything or saw anyone show up. I understand that things come up and appointments sometimes need to be changed, but completely missing a rescheduled appointment with no call or text after I had already spent so much time trying to get in contact is unacceptable. I shouldn't have to chase a business this much just to give them my business. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

There is some complexity with covering a MKV Supra in one piece, but the aesthetic appeal from a single sheet was highly preferred over a two piece film where the seams could be seen on a black car. We came into contact with Danny and he understood the concern before my husband had even expressed them. That gave us peace of mind that we were in the right hands to get the job done. We noted that the Supra logo was not symmetrical and he said he could fix that free of charge. We were scheduled for Friday morning and it was completed by that afternoon. As I arrived for pickup, they brought me back into the shop to verify what was completed. Danny called out there was some light paint damage from the previous work, but that the PPF reduces visibility so it's not as noticeable. The line was where the previous seam had met from the two piece film, but overall, it looked SOOO much better. The edges were folded under so it's a super clean look and I left super pleased/excited to enjoy my car.
