RYAN IS DA MAN!!!!!!! Told him what I wanted in a Stereo, Alarm and Speakers. I got a Pioneer deck with Touch Screen, 2 Pioneer 6x9's, Midrange & Tweeters along with a 10" SubWoofer. Also got the Auto start with my Alarm. THIS SYSTEM KICKS ASS and my Mom's first reaction when she heard me approach her place was "BOY YOU GONNA GET ARRESTED!!!!" I was OVERLY HAPPY with what I got. Very professional look on the install and it work perfectly with my Steering Wheel controls. The only thing I will say that I wished they would have done is put a GRATE on the SubWoofer. the Speaker protrudes from the box it could be damage if something fell into it. read more

I had a great experience with this shop. After my husband experienced his fourth auto burglary, I decided an alarm system would be a worthwhile investment. Unfortunately I suffered some serious sticker shock at a competitor's place before I came to SVS. Not only did I get exactly what I wanted for 1/3 less than the competitor (with NO pushy sales pitch--a very welcome change!), but the staff were very friendly and professional. I arrived at 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday, was offered a noon appointment the same day for installation, and was out at 2:30 after being shown all the features of the alarm. The price I paid for the entire system was pennies away from the price quoted; no hidden fees, "additional modules" or up-charges. I am more than pleased with this place! I had a half finished car audio installation and my car interior was trashed. I had been to a few other shops who gave me quotes that were ridiculous! I'm not driving a Lexus here! Some blatantly lied regarding the difficulty of the installation. One guy said it required removing the whole dashboard! Even as a walk in at Sun Valley the wait wasn't long...We went out to look at the job and the guy didn't laugh! I got a quote which was reasonable. I booked an appointment for the next day. The time estimated to complete the job was accurate, it was done before that time. The interior of my car is back to normal, and all the old stereo components and speakers were given to me. I paid what I was quoted... No surprises! One thing I noticed is that the employees looked pretty happy! it was a busy day when I took my car in, but it wasn't a stressful environment. If a person asked a question of an employee walking by they actually stopped to help. If I ever need anything car audio, this is where I'm going. read more

After shopping around (audio express, bestbuy, sound xpression in mesa, soundwerks in scottsdale) I settled with Sun Valley Car Stereo. I am glad I did. The no pressure sales and listening to the customer to do and get what I want in my car was great. I have had multiple cars with systems in all of them and it seems when you get done it looks good but always something does not go back right. They did it great everything looks PERFECT and sounds even better! I had them install a JVC KW-AV70BT unit with JVC CS-V6937 speakers in the doors and rears, and my Kicker 12" subs all ran through a Kenwood 7005ps 5 channel amplifier. They tuned it great and all the wires were exellently ran and looks better than I could ever do. The price to do all the work and cost of equipment that I bought through them was very competitive and even cost less then most others were going to charge me. I saved over $200 with them then the lowest bid I recieved from another company. I am looking at installing SiriusXM and a Code Alarm in the near future and they will again get my business. Ryan gets right to the point and saw what I was interested in, and we worked together to verify that all the parts were in to upgrade my 2004 RX-8 with a Pioneer 4000NEX touchscreen and back-up camera before I drove 90 minutes for the work. Frank and crew built a custom sub box around the spare in my wife's SUV and added an amp and subwoofer. The quality of the product and workmanship was top notch. This place is not in the best location but does a really great job. We purchased a navigation system and came to them to have installed. They got us in the very next day and installed it no problem. Then a week later, I spilled a soda on it and brought it back in to get looked at due to it malfunctioning. They found the problem right away and referred me to someone who could fix it. I'm very happy with the service I received from Sun Valley Stereo. The stock head unit on my car quit working. I consulted Yelp for the best option and went by and talked to Ryan. I got a new Alpine stereo installed that sounds better than I imagined. It's a noticeable upgrade sounding clearer with more power than the crappy Bose system it replaced. The installation looks super clean. My factory radio was a 1.5 DIN, and the new stereo is 1 DIN and they installed a trim piece that looks just like the factory dash material. Overall I would recommend Sun Valley for all your car stereo needs. I'm thinking about having them tint my windows next. read more

I live 30+ miles away from Sun Valley Stereo but they are the only place I will take any of my vehicles for electronic upgrades. I have had a touch screen dvd player w/ satellite radio, subs and an amp all installed by Ryan's staff. They are very knowledgable and will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied with your install. Never do they try to upsell or get you to buy anything you don't need, plus they offer affordable prices. The box they built for my subs sound GREAT and when I had my amp installed in the trunk of my car, they built a box around it to make it look nice and flush with the trunk floor without me even asking! I was shopping for a new car stereo for my new (used) car. I wanted to stick with one of the independent small privately owned shops, not the national retailers for the primary reason of receiving better customer service. I absolutely made the right decision. I went to Sun Valley Stereo on a Saturday to see what my options were for my budget and get some pricing. This was the third shop I had visited. I spoke with Ryan and like all the other reviewers say, he was great. He was patient, I'm sure I had a few dumb questions, and very knowledgeable. They beat the other prices I got by enough to make me think I was forgetting something! I scheduled an appointment to get everything installed yesterday. Picked up the car last night and man they did some nice work. My guess is they ran 4 different cables/wires throughout my car (front to back and side to side) and I don't see evidence of ANY. My only very minor complaint is I wanted my usb cable run to my armrest but it was run to the glove compartment. It's a minor issue and maybe I'll go back and have them fix that when I have them re-tint my windows. I'm going to take my wife's car there to have her windows tinted too. I was very impressed. I would ding them on the 5 star rating to maybe a 4.97 if it was available but dropping it to 4 star isn't realistic. These guys are that good. I highly recommend them. read more

So my motorcycle has stereo system on it . Recently died and I'm no mechanic So I took to Sun Valley stereo. Didn't have an appointment and was told it might be awhile until they had an opening (TAX SEASON) they are super busy . One gentlemen (didn't get his name)had me take the bike in back and took a quick look at it which impressed the hell out of me because they were truly swamped . With a few minutes he figured it out and I was on my way . He only charged me ten bucks . I gave him twenty just because he went out of his way to squeeze me in .
