    Fried chick'n sandwich
    Paul W.

Possibly the best vegan food in NYC. Their rotating menu consistently features inventive dishes with bold flavours and interesting ingredients. That they make such delicious, attractive food in such a tiny kitchen is something of a miracle. Certainly a testament to the level of care and professionalism of the chef and team. On a recent visit, we had the Lion's Mane Mushrooms with crispy yucca, the Fried Chick'n Sandwich and Romesco Toast. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented as always. Pricing is also very fair for what you get, a rarity in the city. The only downside here is that a dish you fall in love with might no longer be available the next time you go. Of course, it's safe to assume there'll be other amazing dishes to fall in love with. Run here, and often!

The food here was delicious. The dishes seem to be Latin American/Korean fusion food. I had the arroz pegado, which was socarrat (rice that is allowed to brown and get crispy at the bottom of the pot after cooking) topped with a creamy, spicy sauce and crispy grilled mushrooms. The bowl was packed with a surprising amount of flavor and pleasantly crispy textures. Worth it for a quick meal at $15.

Really great option for vegan food! They have bar seating available and were big crowded when we went (around 6 pm). The options are many and it was focused on Latin American food when we visited but they mentioned that the menu changes every season based on ingredient availability. The flavors were wow! I'm not a vegan but still really enjoyed the meal and left feeling satisfied. We ordered the patacon, and it was perfectly flavorful and the addition of parsley really made the dish come together. The chick'n dish was also hearty and flavorful and hit the spot in a chilly spring day. The arepas were also tasty. Would come back!

    Yuba Club

So many of my friends have raved about Sundays and told me that it was a vegan gem so I was excited to come in and try it for the first time. It's an adorable spot with a couple small businesses, and luckily in the winter, it's covered so that you can enjoy your food without freezing. The staff working here are super friendly and helpful especially if you want tips on the best things to order. My Yuba Club was incredibly flavorful - only problem is that it was extremely tough and chewy, so I almost felt like I was eating leather. I reached out to the restaurant via Instagram and they mentioned that sometimes the Yuba can be tougher than other times so I'm pretty sure they're going to make sure this doesn't happen again. Again, the flavor was so incredible that I ended up eating the whole sandwich, but it probably took me 40 minutes to chew everything up. I definitely want to come back and get the second shot, I think I just ordered the wrong sandwich on the wrong day.

My first time at this vegan rincon/ corner spot where I enjoyed a chick'n sandwich which I would say was better than pretty decent. It was a very delicious sandwich with a mix of savory and spicy flavor from the cutlet and acidity and freshness from the pickled veg toppings. I'll admit I might have played it safe with my choice. The chef sometimes preps specials off the menu. I saw the patrons after me order an Afghan dish the chef was trying out. The menu itself also features Latin, Middle Eastern, and Asian items. I think this chef might be a wizard. I will have to visit again sometime to see what's up. It all looked very delicious.

Lions mane mushroom is on my list of healthy food to add to my diet. Never had it in a dish before. Only Whole Foods samples. I love it! Not a fan of mushrooms so definitely have to recognize Sunday Coffee for their food prep. Thought the rice was suppose to have a garlic flavor to it but it tasted like ordinary white rice. Still good. The mushrooms had so much sauce it was enough to add to the rice. friend got a sandwich and enjoyed her dish too.

This place is very low key and even though it's unassuming, the food is always super tasty and aesthetically pleasing. Whenever I come here my taste buds are satisfied. My boyfriend is vegan and he agrees. The service is good too.

This spot is THE FUNK - MUST VISIT! A friend of mine had suggested it a few times and raved about it, finally had the chance to check it out tonight with some friends after another idea fell through. It's in the middle of a warehouse area so it's got a lil' clandestine touch to it, which is cool. We went all in and got 2 of most food items and shared, which is probably the best way to do it here - that way you get a full experience of flavor. The menu changes every so often and this menu was released this same night. Top choices for me were the Crab Rolls, Jollof Rice, and Esquite, though every single dish great. Key Lime pie was an interesting take and very rich. All dishes are plant based and although I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, I'm def down for it and this place is doing it right! I commented more than once that I was very impressed. S/0 to Chris who took care of us and my boy Carl for putting me on!

Yummy vegan food that made my day! Menu changes often, so there's a lot of variety. I really enjoyed the sandwich's sauce and crispness. Great to share with others. Nice little bar seating. Felt like the service was also quick.

my friend and i went to try this place for the first time and omg we both fell in love. it's the cutest spot, with some of the tastiest food out there. the cool thing is the menu changes so frequently that if you aren't a fan one month, check in a different time. either way, we spoke with the owner Christian, who is the sweetest human alive, and he told us the reason behind his menu changes and why he makes what he makes. he made the experience 10x better! i got a gordita and my friend and i split an agua chiles. the agua chiles sauce took me back to the last time i had it, 12 years ago. i will most definitely be going back! 10/10 don't sleep on this lovely place! ‍

Id been wanting to come by for a while now and am happy I did. The food and service were really good and the location is convenient. Love that it's fully vegan and also the rotating menu. Prices are average. $20 for the sandwich and drink. Recommended and will be back.

panela ajo blanco + confit maiitake, figs n cherries & fig leaf oil

This is the place to go if you're in the area. The menu right now is perfect for hot summer days. My group went after running a race and left feeling so refreshed and happy. We ordered the panisse, ceviche, peanut noodles, panela ajo blanco + confit maiitake, figs n cherries & fig leaf oil, and a couple other dishes i forgot to take photos of because I couldn't wait to try them. The chef and staff are so creative and friendly. They will answer any questions you have and do anything they can to make sure you're having a good time. And the location provides a great escape from the summer heat. Highly recommended to anyone in the area!

We came here on probably the hottest day in NYC, when it was 101 degrees out, and I'll be honest,…read morethe AC was on, but it was barely doing anything, so we were just sweating as much indoors as we were outdoors. The actual area itself is quite cute, and I like the way the interior was decorated. It has a very minimal vibe, but it really suits the place and the neighborhood. We got an Iced Americano, a Mortadella Scallion Pancake Sandwich, and a cocktail called Lovers Quarrel. The drinks were honestly pretty good and very much needed for the weather. The cocktail had this airy tart taste that perfectly matched the vibe of the drink. The sandwich itself was good, however it was extremely oily. The actual taste of the sandwich reminded me a lot more of Indian Omelets than Scallion Pancakes, but regardless, was still tasty, just wish it had less oil. They typically bring the drinks and food over to your table if you decide to sit at a table, which makes it a lot more convenient. The people working there were also doing an amazing job, so kudos to them. Overall not bad, maybe I might come back when it's cooler for the dessert items.
