Have been here a few times and I can say its great! They have happy hour until 7 which is amazing and their specials are pretty good. Came here for Valentine's Day with my closest girlfriends! We also brought a dog with us so great to know that their patio is dog friendly! Was a nice place to chill out and catch up with friends. Always love the vibe around the Greenville area where everything is more laid back. Now for the food, the sweet potato fries were probably the best I've ever had. Something about the way they were fried and the certain taste it had was amazing. Not to mention, the sauce paired so well with it! We also got 2 flatbreads. One being the hammered goat and the other being the pesto parmesan. My favorite was the pesto parmesan. It had a wonderful balsamic glaze that really pulled all the ingredients together! The hammered goat flatbread was a big too strong on the truffle oil and had a weird type of mushroom, which is weird because truffle oil and mushroom are usually 2 of my favorite things. I had heard about this place from several people as they have an extensive vegetarian menu and everyone knows I'm looking for healthy veggie options, so finally decided to check it out this Friday night. Parking is insane and it's almost impossible to not valet in this area. The menu had a wide variety of options and everything looked delish. The hubs and I started out with the stuffed avocado appetizer which came with 3 pieces, split the Mediterranean plate for dinner, and a side kale caesar salad. I literally can legit say that I'm obsessed with that salad--it was amazing! Food overall was all really really good and I would come back here for that alone. Everything was organic and fresh. I felt like it was truly a healthy meal. I will admit I ended the meal with the cherry chocolate bread pudding, which was probably my least favorite part of the meal. At this point in the review you're asking why only 3.5 stars then? Service was HORRENDOUS. Our server literally never checked on us, would not refill out water, forgot to bring things numerous times...I could go on and on. She seemed young and inexperienced and personally I felt the level of slowness was a bit unacceptable...maybe it was an off night? This place was recommended to me for brunch. I was a little disappointed. The coolest part of the place was their patio. I'm not sure if they serve you food up there but it had couches, shade, fans. So comfy to take your carafe of mimosa and sit up there and chill. I got the Greenville Ave. Grilled Cheese. I added brisket to it. Their brisket is a little sweet. (I tend to like savory over sweet) Also, the goat cheese was a little bit overpowering for my taste. While the description did say there were all these cheeses, i really just wanted a good ole fashioned grilled cheese. I also got sweet potato fries. Now my friend said they were the best in town but i thought they were only okay. I did really enjoy the sweet potato hash. All in all, the ambience is pretty cool. We ordered and shared a variety of appetizers. The shiner sliders are delicious! The queso is good... a little heavy on the onions. The Cobb salad was fresh and yummy! But the highlight of the evening was the brussel sprouts (and the reason for the fourth star)!!! The mix of flavors with the perfectly charred BSs was AMAZING!!! We also had the chocolate cake and creme brûlée for desert. Both were good. But don't be fooled by the phrase "seasonal fruit". Soooo to be honest we only tried this place since Henry's majestic had such a long wait but this was a pleasant surprise. The brisket is a little on the sweet side we'll all the dishes we got were on the sweet side but everything was really good. The skillet brisket hash and eggs was unique and had a decent amount of brisket which I really likes. The only complaint is that the brisket was sweet then the sweet potatoes that came with the brisket were also sweet so it's a lot of the same flavors. I kind of wish they used normal potatoes in Cajun seasoning or something like that. The sunrise Benedict was so good. The eggs were poached really well and kept runny and the hollandais was great but not the best I've tasted. Kind of wish there was more of the sauce all over my plate. Again a common theme was there was sweet potato as a side which is awesome so ask for some ranch to dip the potatoes in. Not happy. I ordered food upstairs at the bar. My friend and I requested to order separately or if possible, split the tab by three. The bartender with the mustache took my order and then I ran to grab my card to open a tab. While I was going to get my card, he took my friends order and I tried to hand him my card with my friends He just kinda ignored it and took my friends card. I was confused and assumed he just charged our entire order to my friend because he told us that we're all set. Well, we weren't all set. We literally only got my friends order. . He literally FORGOT my order but we had no idea until an hour after of waiting. We sat for half an hour and my friends food arrived, and we waited and waited for my food. It never came and then I realized the bartender messedit up!!! I had to wait in a long line to see him . I nicely explained to him how there must've been some confusion because I saw him tap in my order and I handed him my card and he only took my friends. Then he just let us walk away. After explaining, the mustache bartender didn't even apologize or treat me with respect. He just made me reorder. BEWARE of the bartender with the mustache. So rude. All I wanted was an apology. Showed up a little before 7, the bar was empty but not too empty (that makes sense right?) Anyways, my friend and I sat down and we're immediately greeted by (I believe his name was June or something to that extent) He let us know we had 15 minutes left of happy hour and started us each with a house white. He walked us through all of the chef's specials and we enjoyed two and we're so glad we listened to him. The first were the scotched deviled eggs, crusted and topped with a chicken chicharron. They were served on a bed of arugula and were amazing. It's only one egg cut in half but it was the perfect amount to start off with, especially for just two people. My friend and I couldn't stop raving about how great they were and I even made the lame joke when he came to pick up our picked clean plates, oh we didn't like that at all (I hated myself a little for making that comment). Then we ordered the chef's flatbread. It had heirloom tomatoes, broccoli, basil, and queso fresco. So simple but also amazing! I don't know how they made a flat bread so special but they did. We had ordered it with chicken and unfortunately June forgot it, but no worries because it didn't even need it! Then we ordered dessert, which we typically never do but the servings were so lite and amazing that we just had to. We chose the olive oil cake and unfortunately weren't blown away. Reclaimed wood walls, retro furniture, vegan waitress. Started with the Waldof, Southwestern and Italian "stuffed avocados", but I'm confused, we were served three mounds of guacamole. Endive and cucumbers were used for dipping. The Waldof was the winner of these three. Next up was the gluten free hammered goat. This was a home run! The goat cheese flavor was subtle, the mushrooms flavorful with a nice sweet finish. Shrimp tacos were as expected, nothing too impressive, although it did have a unique relish of beans and lentils in a vinegar sauce. Braised short rib was the highlight. Nice sized portion, tender and delicious. It's worth a second trip for me because of the relaxed atmosphere and hormone free menu items. read more

The food and drinks were actually pretty good, the service was awful. Multiple tables waited over 10 minutes before a server was assigned to their table, we waited 25 minutes without a server. It wasn't busy at all during this team just poor management overall. Even after getting out server, they only came back every 10-15 minutes to check on us. Our food/drink runner was also extremely rude when we asked a question about the menu for some reason. AWFUL service for a place that had good food, extremely disappointed. I love Sundown ! I decided to take my husband out for a random Wednesday night date. Neither of us has been here before but it was a GREAT choice! There is a nice chill ambiance about this place and we totally dig it. They have food for carnivores, vegetarians & vegans which is so nice! Being vegan and my husband is a meat eater it is hard to come across places that have menu options for both of us. I was very satisfied with my loaded avocados and my boo loved his brisket burger. We had a few beers and happened to catch a movie they were showing that night on the rooftop! They have chairs and a bar upstairs. Such a chill environment! Came in with my boyfriend for an early dinner and was a little disappointed with the over all experience we had. I am vegan and am already at such a limited menu choice, so we started with the hummus board which wasn't anything special then came the entrees. I ordered the only outright vegan thing on the menu and it had absolutely no flavor, they were made with cauliflower and had this bright red sauce on top. The only thing that I was able to taste was the cilantro on top. Onto my boyfriend who got the mahi mahi tacos, same issue no flavor besides the jalapeños put I top. As well as once we cut into the fish it was grey. No white part of the fish at all just grey, after eating just one he went to the restroom and threw up what he had just eaten. We spoke to the server who was apologetic but offered the excuse that the kitchen doesn't want to overload with flavor. He brought over the manager who asked us what we would like him to do about it and gave the option to comp or replace. He seemed almost annoyed that we wanted to discuss our disappointment. Megan was so fabulous to work with and made the whole process so easy! She took the time to help us with decorations, and food choices. She was honestly so understanding and easy to work with. The best part of seeing a concert at the Granada? Getting to pre-game at Sundown with some super-tasty food and great drink specials. I met some online friends here before the Amanda Palmer concert and was stellarly excited about their whiskey wednesday! They knew the secret path to my heart and used and abused it for the benefit of all involved. I had (a few) old fashioneds while trying several of their items to share between friends. The patio was GORGEOUS in May, but I could imagine it getting pretty hot in the summer. Luckily they have a spacious inside too, and someone was (of course!) playing music. We tried the queso (ended up having to order a 2nd because we devoured this with the crispy chips in no time), chicken pesto flatbread (so very very yummy, I wanted to lick the plate, in fact, I think I may have), and shared a Sundown burger which was probably one of the best things to eat in a while. I love the open nature of this place, and the convenience of being able to grab a snack and a drink before your show starts! GENIUS AND DELICIOUS! Now I just need to find another concert to go to so I can go back! read more
