Came here after visiting Best Buy. The ray ban meta glasses come in different sizes and Best Buy was out. Since this sub glass guy was right around the corner came here to purchase them. The employee was very nice. She was alone and still very attentive to everyone in the shop. She even assisted me with my account since they were a gift. Clean store. The young lady and gentleman were extremely helpful, helping me find the perfect shades for my face. Just bought my favorite new Burberry shades. Embarrassingly run business. Ordered 2 pairs of RayBans on 5.9.21 (one was a custom pair). It was an online order scheduled for in-store pickup at this location. According to the online tracking, both pairs arrived in store 5.17.21. But only one product had arrived, the custom pair was not there. So I waited about a week. I had continually called the store throughout the week to check if the customs had arrived, but the phone went straight to voicemail every time, despite calling during business hours. (I didn't want to keep driving to the store if the glasses weren't there.) But since no one was answering, I had no choice. The second time I went to the store, the customer representative was of little help. When I told her I'd made several attempts to contact the store but it always went straight to voicemail, all she said was, "Yeah." I noted that the phone WAS functioning and I even heard it ring while I was there. For such a small location with little foot traffic, it is especially poor customer service to just ignore the phone. After a lackluster search, she told me my only alternative was to call customer service. 6.1.21: Call #1 with Matthew. He told me he would place a request to have the custom sunglasses reordered as it was concluded my original pair was lost in transit. 6.12.21: Call #2 with Heidi. Although Matthew claimed to process a reorder of the product, Heidi confirmed it had NOT been processed, and that SHE would reprocess it. 6.28.21: Call #3 with Meghan. I'd grown impatient by now as the reorder STILL hadn't been processed. I asked for a full refund, which was granted. (Along with a gift voucher that I will never use after this experience.) I was told it would be returned to my bank account within 3-5 business days, and to call by July 5th if I hadn't received it by then. 7.9.21: Call #4 (didn't record name). I waited a few days since it was a holiday weekend. THIS lady told me the request for a refund was put it on July 5th, while the previous lady had told me I should RECEIVE my money back by then. She then told me it would take somewhere between 7-15 business days. I can't remember the exact timeframe she provided, but it was more than a week and different from what I was told during Call #3. 7.29.21: Call #5 (didn't record name). She told me the refund STILL HADN'T BEEN PROCESSED, which is absolutely inexcusable. I was on hold for a little under 15 minutes when returned to the line and told me she had ~definitely~ made sure it was processed this time, and that the funds should be returned within 3-5 days. (Edit: I have finally received email confirmation that a refund is being processed.) Everyone except the person in-store was friendly. But that doesn't excuse their inability to fulfill their duties. Whether this is a human or system error, Sunglass Hut should be embarrassed for running such a poor, unorganized business and needs to shape up if it wants to maintain a positive reputation. read more

I don't like fake sunglasses...period. I'm a sunglass snob. I can accept that. But on the flip side, I am really hard on my shades. I always forget to put them in their case, and I always use them as a headband. So, I have to give major props to The Sunglass Hut for their warranty program. Say you buy a pair of shades you absolutely love...and you jack'em up. Paying for a whole new pair, in this economy...OUCH! But if you bought them shades at Sunglass Hut, you got a year to exchange them for half the price you originally paid. I just took in 2 pairs of shades and exchanged them using what they call the "Sunglass Replacement Discount Exchange". And ROMEO is the man to go to!! I exchanged 2 pairs of Prada sunglasses and also got a new pair of Oakley's for my man. Romeo is a great salesperson. So if you don't like "knockoffs", you gotta come here! read more

The Sunglass Hut is the Starbucks of Sunglasses. Just think of it is the same glasses you can get anywhere for more money. They do have a good selection and knowledgeable staff though. Romeo, the on site eye-guy, was cool and very helpful even though some hag was stressed out about a warranty and cash. She actually had more questions about the nearest Wells Fargo than the glasses. I can't believe that he has to put up with that crap. If you are a repeat customer they will also send you a $20 Gift Card for your birthday. SCORE. It's a cool spot to pick some shades but you can probably get some knock-offs that look just like them at one of the carts for $10. If you want the real thing, the warranty and all you'll be happy with the hut. read more

High end $100-$200 sunglasses sold here. Oakley, Ray Bans, and other pricey shades are in abundance. Service is hit or miss. A few times I was here associates would help out or ask if I needed assistance and at least did their job. Recently, a disinterested female associate did ask if I needed anything. After telling her I was simply looking at the moment she pretty much went back to talking to a guy she seemed to know for the rest of the time not bothering once to even offer any deals or sales or walking out to the floor as she posted up behind the register. I am not a sales expert but if I am the lone customer in the store you'd at least try harder to see if maybe I am looking for a particular item? Then again I guess scoring a date is more important then actually doing your job then huh? read more

This doesn't even deserve 1 star ... worst customer service ever . My boyfriend and I went in to return some sunglasses that he only had for 3 days after purchase. still brand new looking. Not sure if he was the manager but a dark skin tone guy took a look at the sunglasses,was touching the lens with his FINGER NAILS and told us he couldn't make the return because he saw "scratches" on one lens. I asked him to point out the scratches and once again HE RUBBED his finger nails against the lens to show us the area. I stated to him there was no scratches but he aggressively insisted he couldn't make the return.Went to another sunglass hut,had the sunglasses inspected and were able to have them returned. Don't come to this location worst customer service ever. They were really rude about the situation. Im sure they were not returnable because they have sales goals and couldn't afford to take a return. LOL Also, have the greeter smile and be a little more friendly ... no one is going to want to come into the store when everyone is just with a miserable face looking like they don't want to be at work. read more

Fantastic service! The woman that helped me so friendly and attentive. It was a very nice change from a lot of the stores at Otay where they can't be bothered to greet customers as they walk in. She was very knowledgeable and expertly served me and the other families that came in after me without any of us feeling neglected. The only downside to it is how small the place it. Once the 2 other families came in, it was really cramped. But the service was AWESOME. read more
