I visited to get my eye exam, prescription, and new glasses…read more The process of the exam and picking the frames was great but when I had to come back to pick them up things were not so great. I got a call to pick up my frames and I asked if I could have my prescription when I picked them up and was told yes. I arrive and get my frames and only one of the two is ready. And they also have no print out and am told I'll get it when I pick up the other frames. I get a call to pick up the other frames and confirm the print out will be ready. The print out was not ready and I had to wait for it. I asked for my PD and was told no. I asked why not and the employee told me it changes depending on the glasses. This made no sense to me because it is the distance between my pupils and that doesn't change. I also mentioned how when I got my two pairs of glasses from that very store they only measured my PD on one frame because it's the same. I asked how that was. She said they had a machine and it knows what to do. I asked how it worked and she said that's why we have machines. She begrudgingly wrote down my PD and said she added a note to the file that she is not liable if I use it and it's wrong. I feel as if she kept just saying stuff to placate me and get me to move on and I don't appreciate that. What she was saying did not make sense to me. I paid for an eye exam and prescription and my PD should be included. Additionally, the two times I went in to pick up frames she seem flustered and kept going on about how busy she was. And I wish they would leave a message when I missed the phone call. I like the frames I bought but probably won't be coming back, to this location at least

Driving around trying to get my favorite Shade fix, went to another location first, they said they…read morecouldn't fix, so driving down montauk I saw Pearle Vision had nothing to loose. They were very inviting and friendly and ask how can we help. I explained my lens and screw pulled out and if they can fix it? I waited like 10 minutes and they got it done. i was already to pay about $50.00 and jokingly said the tech whats the damage and he said no damage at all? have a nice day. I was totally in shock my phone rang and I couldn't talk. I asked him again how much and he said no joking have a nice day and thanking for stopping in! It saddens me that the person that I had come to respect and enjoyed as a sales representative who getting my prescription orders from over the years made mistake after mistake after mistake getting my glasses done. She seemed more interested in gossiping about her neighbor and thoughts of retiring to the point where I do not believe that she's able to do her job effectively without errors. Even after that, when I had finally gotten the glasses that I chose (after 3 tries) the prescription was wrong. I now have a pair of glasses that I've never worn because of that. Never again! So sadly I will never use JCPenney again. You have been warned.

When staff returned they looked at the glasses and said they don't see anything. I said it's very noticeable in the sunlight. I was then told I have to come back another day to talk to the manager. They have terrible customer service and do not stand behind their products. I will never purchases glasses from them again. He allowed me to put in my prescription explained my situation he did this all on his own without his assistant and he never rushed me. So then another associate came up to us and my husband asked them to read the sign and they said, yes but you have to buy 2 pairs. My husband said where does it say you have to buy 2 pairs. No where on that sign. I said that's false advertisement. She had an attitude towards my husband. Professionalism was horrible. So we ended up going to Pearl Vision and they were nice and helpful.
