He might be sweet to youth, but as an adult wearing glasses my whole life since I was 10, he was rude to the extreme. I couldn't go back. We went inside and the merchandise was predominantly, Vineyard Vines, Southern Tide, and similar brands. The staff was informative and friendly, and even offered us mimosas! There's a collection of men's and women's clothes, shoes, and accessories, fairly priced (similar to MSRP). I bought a pair of Sperry Boats, which I wore out of the store after they gracefully threw away my old, beat up ones. My fiancé purchased a Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt and a rain shawl (which she's very happy about). This shop will do very well and I'm happy to have given them business. We will definitely go back again!

If you go to Newport, you would get one that says Newport on the front. These are super trendy, particularly during the spring and summer. Just Mystic is a store in downtown Mystic where you can find a variety of these hoodies, t-shirts and hats for the whole family. This cotton is heavy duty, but still light and breezy, it is made to be worn, so it only gets comfier with each wear. Just Mystic merchandise isn't cheap, one of their basic sweatshirts without the hood will run you $65 - $75. These make an excellent gift for someone who you've visited Mystic with but isn't from the area.

The Army Navy Store is a pretty unique shopping experience. Here you may find all types of army…read moregear, uniform, boots, pins, hats, protective hats and more. They also have some baby dresses and outfits, and things that are more costume. This store has been here for 30 years. It unfortunately has a bit of that "been here a long time" type of odor. I went here in hopes of finding an authentic, weather proof American flag, to put on my currently bare flag pole in front of my home. The young man I spoke to seemed to be very informed on the subject. I told him the approximate height of the pole, and he immediately pulled out a flag, that seemed to fit the bill. He explained the quality of the material is designed to withstand the harshest of winds. Also the way the stitching is done, is made to last through whatever blows and comes its way. Naturally this flag is made in America. It was $55.99 and was not taxable. My friend got the Connecticut flag, also from the same maker. I was very pleased with my shopping experience at The Army Navy Store. I will be putting up my brand new flag as soon as the winter's snow is over.

Sales staff are knowledgeable and ask all the right questions to establish what you want. No high pressure or "you need this..." kind of approach. Service is spot on. Had difficulty shifting to the top cogs on the rear cassette and their mechanic Chris was very thorough. He checked the chain length, the cassette teeth and the shifter itself and the stop screws. It was a bent derailleur hanger. He had it fixed in under ten minutes. Strong recommend.
