Quick, easy, smooth response to set up an appointment. My baby looking even cuter after a nice haircut. I've been researching for a groomer near where I moved and it's been couple months since my puppy had his last haircut.. also because of the dog virus. Anyways, Sung's grooming did not disappoint! My dog did not come back with any cuts, pain, or red eye nor show any signs of distress. Extremely pleased about that. They also estimated around 3 hours and they kept true to their words.
We usually wash and nail cut our dog on our own because there aren't many spots near us that are convenient, but we were visiting LA for the month and our dog hadn't gotten a nail trim or a bath in a while so we made an appointment via text here. YAY gotta love not having to call and wait on hold / do phone tag to make appointments. He's an easily skiddish terrier mix with a low-maintenance short coat and he seemed to be treated really well here -- they even put a lil bandana on his neck when he got picked up. He was not the happiest but he SMELLED amazing and was as soft as the day we rescued him as a 9 week old pupppy!
Highest level of grooming talent I have found in LA thus far. Been to many groomers for my Bedlington x poodle mix and so happy we found Sung groomers. We now have a rescue Maltese and she was so neglected her fur had to be shaved off when she was rescued and received medical attention. Once her hair grew back Sung clipped her into a proper Maltese - can't wait until her hair grows even longer and they groom her again. Show dog quality cuts!
Sung's is a wonderful place to have your dog groomed. We brought Buni there yesterday and this is the best experience we've had so far with a groomer. Tried mobil groomer, after which Buni wouldn't walk near a grooming van. Another bathing place nearby couldn't get her relaxed enough to do her nails. Sung's did it all and extremely well. My doggy is a cavalier king charles spaniel and he joined the family during COVID so he didn't get to socialize much. So, when his hair started growing I knew I had to find a groomer I really trust. I knew my dog would have some anxiety being left there and being around new people/dogs. BUT SUNG WAS AMAZING!!! She reassured me and on the very first visit she took time in the beginning to get him comfortable before starting the grooming process. Plus, she had groomed cavalier king charles spaniels before so I knew she was comfortable around them. She also provided me with helpful tips and advice. I'm so glad I found her and my doggy is happy too.
We just moved to the valley and have really struggled to find a new groomer for our Australian shepherd, nylo. Nylo requires a gentle hand and someone kind/patient. When he was little, he had a poor experience at a groomers that left him injured so I am very cautious with who I bring him to. He's very nervous when being left at any groomers as I'm sure he remembers the experience he had, so he does get a bit anxious. It was our first experience here at Sung's grooming studio and so far, we feel good about her! Her demeanor at drop off was gentle and sweet, so I felt comfortable leaving him there. It will probably take a few visits for him to feel more comfortable, but I can tell she's patient and understanding of his previous experience. She did a wonderful job on him. He's a very active dog for the most part so she did have to work out some of his tangles and knots, which we definitely appreciate. Keeping up with his thick fur is always hard work (especially for us) so when it comes to groomers, I pay attention to detail. His fur felt the "lightest" I've felt it in SO long so now I'm questioning the effort of any groomer we had before. We will definitely be back!
We love it here! I have been taking our Shih-Tzu Terrier to Sung's for a year now after seeing all the past stellar reviews. Before finding Sung's I would have so much anxiety leaving my dog with a groomer but with Sung, there is no anxiety ever - you can feel all the love and care that she has for her clients and that is the best feeling. It's been a relief to have found a safe space where you can absolutely trust that your dog is in great hands & to have consistent amazing grooming visits. 10/10!!!
Today was my first time taking my pup to Sung and she is absolutely wonderful! I texted her and was able to secure an appointment the same day - on Christmas Eve no less! Louie is a short haired, 20lb doxie/beagle mix. The cost was $60 for a bath, which included shampoo, deep conditioner, blueberry facial, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, nail cut and grinding, deshedding and brushing, hand blow drying, and teeth brushing. It's an amazing price, considering most places charge extra for teeth brushing. She had him for about 2 hours and he was ready for pick up! He came back soooo soft and smelling like a rose! You can tell she has a special way with animals and cares about them deeply. Louie was so happy and calm when I got him back, I know he had a good experience. Our pets are our family and we want to know they're in the best hands when we leave them. You won't have to worry when they're with Sung!
I was referred to Sung's from a friend who had their dog groomed and was very satisfied with their work. So I brought my terriermix, Bailey in for a full service grooming. The crew at Sung's were really nice and attentive and when Bailey was done, he looked like a superstar. He smelled real fresh and they cut his hair to the length I had requested. His ears were really clean and nails filed nicely. Their prices are a little higher than other places, however you get what you pay for and Sung will take care of your dog as if it was hers. I am definitely coming back in a couple of months.
Extremely disappointed. After our first visit was good we decided to take our sheepadoodle for hair cut. one week in advance booking and super high pricing. But still because my baby is worth every penny spent, gave it to her. Clearly instructed the haircut and sent pictures as well. Told her very clearly to not shave to the skin. After 8 hours, he comes out with NOTHING LIKE THE PICS and COMPLETELY SHAVEN. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED - INCONSISTENT and UNEVEN CUT

Wonderful groomer! I can tell my dog was well cared for and shown lots of love. Quick and easy appointment (was able to make a same day appointment!) She left happy and fluffy - definitely her best grooming she's had in her 2 years. The owners are also so friendly. 10/10 will be back. read more

Sings grooming studio is the best place to take your dog! My dog Rei German Shepard mix 10 month old puppy has the worst separation anxiety I have ever seen in a animal , she is also terrified of anything that moves, or doesn't lol she gets scared of traffic cones. I'm not sure how sung managed to fully groom our little girl but she did an amazing job and was so happy when we picked her up. This was her first time getting groomed and sung managed to get her to relax and enjoy her time there, we will be coming again!! read more

Sung is the best! I brought my 9 month old pup here for his first grooming and I'm really happy that I did. She really seems to understand your pup and how to make sure that they are calm and safe throughout the process. Last time I had my dog's nails trimmed at another place, they nicked him because they said he was moving too much but he sat very still for Sung! He came out smelling and feeling amazing; I will bring my pup back next time he needs a grooming! read more

Took my little yorkie Belli to Sung's Grooming Studio for the first time yesterday, and she came home looking so adorable. Had to find a new groomer because the groomer's I went to previously switched owners and the last two times she was groomed there she came home with sloppy cuts or knicks on her stomach. She's usually terrified to get her hair cut, but the groomers here are SO KIND and were so sweet with her. You can really tell they love dogs! She was actually happy and smiling when I came to pick her up, which is a first. I like that they put the dogs in little play areas so they're not confined. The sweetest cutest grooming studio I've ever seen! Adorable Boo Boo Bear (Adora) was treated like the queen she is and came back looking like a million bucks! The dogs are groomed out in the open not in a hidden back room which I appreciate... nothing to hide read more

I've had nothing short of a great experience every time I bring my pup Penny in for grooming. Penny is absolutely terrified of getting a bath when I do it, but always pulls me to the door when I bring her here. Penny adores Miss Sung! Penny smells so good when she's done and sheds way less afterwards. I love the cute little touches such as the doggie bandana or bowtie! The prices are very reasonable and can be customized for your dog's needs that day. There is also free parking in the back. I've usually dropped in without a problem during the week, but I recommend calling for an appt on the weekends. read more

My little Shih Tzu, Jackie Chan, desperately needed a bath and haircut, but our usual chain pet store groomer was booked through next week. The poor little dog is mostly white, but I've had a fractured leg, and I can't bathe him in the kitchen sink, so he was mostly dirty. Shih Tzu have long fur in front of their eyes that I am afraid to cut, and other characteristic grooming needs, and Sung's is nearby, and has mostly 5 star reviews, so I called. Our appointment was for the same day. A friend dropped him off, and told me the doggie waiting pens looked safe and comfortable. When my friend brought him home, he looked adorable and smelled sweet. I took my Bichon to Sung for the very first time today and I am very pleased with the grooming. She did such a wonderful job getting his haircut just like I wanted it and even exceeded my expectations. My dog was all smiles when I went to pick him up and I could tell all the groomers are gentle and love dogs. Sung's Studio is simply the best! Our precious Pandora loves the way she's treated here and is excited whenever it's time to get groomed! This is a gem and I would highly recommend to other dog owners. It's such a relief to know a loved one is in good hands. After my sweet pup Vince passed away, I got a goldendoodle puppy. I was nervous about getting him groomed for the first time because I didn't realize how often I was supposed to be brushing him. Doodles need constant maintenance, and I was concerned he'd need to be shaved. Luckily, Sung was able to get out the matting and keep my puppy's fluffy hair. On top of that, I'd been too aggressive brushing out his tangles, and he started getting aggressive whenever he saw me with a grooming tool. Sung noticed this immediately, and after having him for only three hours, she used positive reinforcement to cure him of his brush anxiety. I was amazed to watch him just sit there and not react at all to the sight and use of grooming tools. Overall, very happy with my experience. Sung is a pro! read more

Sung's has to be the best place in the Valley to get your pets groomed! It was so convenient to be able to book an appointment via text the night before for my cat and my dog. The facility was adorable, super clean, and easy to find. Both of our pets are new to being groomed, but Sung made them feel right at home and comfortable the whole time. Chewie and Miss Kitty look and smell fantastic! So much easier than me and my husband trying to do it ourselves. Sung's pricing is also very reasonable compared to other groomers I looked into. Everything you need for your pet is included in one price, so you don't have to worry about add-ons like other places. Glad that we found our groomer only after one visit. We will definitely be taking our pets back to Sung from now on! read more

Sung did a WONDERFUL job with our 7.5# Maltipoo! Super clean facilities, and it had cute decor. Studio is in very convenient and cool location right on Ventura. For $59 (under 10lb dogs) all the extra touches were included for our pup. Ollie was not stressed at all by the grooming (yay)! High recommendation 5-stars read more

Sung you are my HERO. My 9 year old rescue cat looks sooooo good after I brought her in for a lion cut and wash! I've had her for a year and noticed that when summer rolls around she will vomit up fur balls practically every other day she's practically bulimic lol. Her long coat was also starting to look really oily and gross despite being an indoor cat. Anyways, I always thought the lion cut looked hilariously cute and decided to come here because of the stellar reviews. The pricing is incredibly fair for everything thats included (wash, lion cut, nail trim, ear cleaning) and Sung's attention to detail and gentle care of my cat is second to none!!! You can tell she really cares about her craft and she is a godsend during this whole coronavirus shutdown. Currently, you can't stay during your appointments as the entrance is blocked with clear plastic curtains and masks are required on entry (please respect social distancing!). There is a small lot in the back of the space but I just parked out front for drop off and pick up. Anyways, please come here for any of your pet grooming needs. Sung will love and care for your pet as much as you do :') Tsuki loves her new look and I can't stop picking her up to sniff her lol. read more

I love how you can book via text. Sung texts you 15 minutes before your dog is finished so you can come and pick up your fresh smelling dog as soon as they are ready. Excellent experience! Highly recommend, Sung!!! read more

This place is under new management. Sung groomers. I was stuck having just received my huge Flat Coat Retriever/Walker Hound mix from visiting up north for a couple months while we are preparing to move to Denver, and she was stiiiiinky! My Yorkie's groomer was booked and all the places we had ever had Shamu washed in Studio City before were also booked. So I went to Yelp and found a place we had never tried, Dog Pawlor. They took her right in. The two Asian ladies who greeted us were SO sweet and did such a great job that I brought our cat Ripley here for her first-ever grooming as well. Both were a tremendous success. You can't get kinder, sweeter, animal lovers providing a better service. And they have a promotion going now so we paid much less than we normally do. Double YAY! My only regret is not being able to bring Ripley and Shamu here again. read more

I love Sung and her amazing work! She is naturally so good with my hyper stressed little Pomeranian. She's been the only groomer who has been able to use a buzzer on her hair. A groomer in the past had to use 5 men to hold my puppy down for a cut lol, and Sung can do it on her own and she does it well. The price is a lot steeper than what I'm used to, but she does a lot for the money, and it is well worth it for a cut from time to time. My dog Pika clearly trusts Sung, and that is a huge relief when trying to find a good groomer. Thank you Sung !! read more

I am so glad I found Sung for my dog's first haircut - we had a great experience! I was nervous because we love our dogs coat and just wanted him to have a very natural trim, and I'm so glad that is exactly what we got. The studio is very cute and extremely clean. My dog is young and extremely excitable so I wanted to take him somewhere small and quiet so he would be as relaxed as possible. It worked out great. Sung was very sweet with him, and when I picked him up he was happy and comfortable! His trim looked fantastic and she perfectly listened to all my requests. I can tell he must've been calm because the precision of the cut is amazing, and definitely impressive considering our guy is a jumpy excited pup. It was such a cute touch to find him all spiffed up with a bow tie! We'll definitely be back, and it's a big perk to support a small business helmed by a woman. Highly recommend! read more
