I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 20 years and have been to several threading salons. I have my usual go-to lady in my hometown but haven't had time to go after work or the weekends. I decided that I couldn't wait any longer and just go during my work day. Thanks to Yelp, I found Sunitaz and Sunita herself was amazing and did an awesome job! Like another reviewer mention, she is very gentle and takes her time to be thorough. I went during a weekday afternoon so there was no wait at all! I love love LOVE this eyebrow shop! The owner Sunita is so gentle and leaves your eyebrows perfect. I get anxious when getting my eyebrows done. I can't sit still, I move my legs a lot and I ask for a lot of breaks. There's time were I even spill over a few tears. Sunita is so understanding and calming. She'll even wipe away your tears lol Another plus is if you accidentally over plucked your eyebrows she doesnt touch where they need to be grown out. So she leaves the rest of your eyebrows smoothly flowing together. So if you're walking around downtown stop by this shop, it's highly suggested. And if you happen to be driving there's no excuse not to stop because they provide 1 hour free parking! Just park upstairs from the shop and tell the parking attended that you're getting your eyebrows done and they will tell you what to do from there. Sunita is the only reason i come here. I used to frequently visit threading salon at Macy's downtown, where she used to work before, and do my eyebrows. one day, as usual i went there to do my brows only to find she had quit. I was disappointed and was very uncomfortable to do my eyebrows with others. I heard from the employees that she was running her own place. After searching for numerous weeks, i finally found her, and went there to do my eyebrows. I can't explain how happy and satisfied I am today. And like always, I tipped her good. Was looking for a good, local walkable brow threading location in dtla.... Unfortunately never coming back.... Made my eyebrows uneven and had bald spots :( and I have naturally thick brows! This is the only eyebrow threading place that I've been to, so I don't have a ton to compare it to, but I really enjoy going here. I don't usually make an appointment and rarely have to wait for long, or wait at all after work on weekdays. So eyebrows are a pretty SERIOUS subject now a days.. so it makes me nervous when I have to go to someone to clean them up and shape them. I just moved back to LA and my eyebrows needed some serious taming, so after what seemed like years (jk, only 2 days) of serious threading salon hunting, I decided to go to Sunitaz Omg I'm so glad i found this spot! Sunita literally makes threading non painful from how gentle she is. She takes her time even if there's people waiting which is very important to me. Ever since I started getting my eyebrows threaded it had been with Sunita. I remember when she was at Macy's plaza I tried getting my brows done by another lady. It was so painful and my skin burned. Since that day on I would only get my eyebrows done by Sunita. She is very gentle and does a fantastic job. When I heard she moved if followed her. I definitely recommend this place. Sunita is an amazing eye brow artist. I was trying to find someone who could help to reshape my brows because they were so very thin and I wanted them to be thicker. After my 2nd visit they were already looking much better! I can't recommend her enough. A friend had told me about her, and since i was working near DTLA it made it convenient to go during lunch or right after work. I don't work downtown anymore, but I will drive there from the South Bay just to see her. Luckily, my brows don't grow that fast lol. Oh, and she validates parking...you pay upfront (I think it's $9) but they refund your money on the way out so bring cash. The entrance to the lot can be hard to find, but it's just east of her shop which is on the south side of 7th street. Go see Sunita...you won't be disappointed. read more

Did my eyebrows here today for the first time because the salon I usually go to is in Westwood is far away from where I live so I thought why not just try a new place. The lady doing my eyebrows didn't seem to know what she was doing even though I showed her a picture of what I wanted. 20 minutes later and she was still on the first eyebrow so I had to keep pausing her and showing her in the mirror what she needed to do and how I wanted my eyebrows to look yet she kept doing them uneven. About 30 min later she finally did a small clean up but it was far away from the shape I wanted and had saved out my eyebrows for but I felt bad correcting her. To be fair she did fill in my eyebrows with a eyebrow dip but that just made me look like a square shaped Borat from 1996 with a modern looking unibrow. She didn't do a bad job but for the time and energy put into showing and pointing and holding.. no I don't think I'm coming back.. read more

Swas did my eyebrows and upper lip. My skin is very sensitive and I hate threading my upper lip coz I always end up getting a rash that doesn't go away for days! So I gave up. I had a bad experience here! the assistant did not know what she was doing and did not pay attention to how I asked her to shape my eyebrows. She also kept on pinching my skin with the thread which is something you wouldn't constantly do if you are a professional. The main lady was better but she was busy with others, she tried to fix it at the end but it didn't turn out too well. read more

I used to get my eyebrows done by Sunita all the time when she worked downstairs at Macy's plaza but then she went away and the other ladies butchered my brows :( I started getting my eyebrows done elsewhere until I stumbled upon Sunita's new eyebrow threading place while on my way to Juice Crafters. I had to go in and see for myself if it really was Sunita from Macy's Plaza and she was there running her own eyebrow threading business. She even remembered me and asked how I was doing :) So I sat in a chair, got my eyebrows done, and VOILA she shaped them out perfectly, just like she used to. I love that she takes her time to thread your eyebrows and does so in a manner that you don't feel any pain. I've always had my eyebrows waxed . I'm very picky about who touches them. I've never liked how threading looked . The person who normally does my eye brows moved out of the country. So I've looked and tried many places for 2 years and I just settled for an okay person.Recently my co-worker suggested Sunitaz at first I was a little iffy but, then when I entered the place it was so welcoming, clean and very friendly.sunita made me feel very comfortable especially since it was my first time trying threading. I did flinch a little, when I did she made sure I was okay unlike other places where they just laugh and continue. I fell inlove with her! This is across the street from my apartment so it's very convenient and my eyebrows look great afterwards. My only complaint it that the assistant seems to thread slower than I'm used to and the slower she threads, the more it hurts! I need to get my hair pulled out quickly so it's less painful. I haven't really complained about this because my eyebrows look great nonetheless. read more
