Simply Put, They Are --That Good! I can't recommend Sunland Auto Service highly enough. I had issues with my car, a Cadillac CTS and it always cost me a fortune to fix. So bad, I thought I'd have to take out a second mortgage to keep it going. I had many experiences of shady Auto Service Companies, including the car Dealerships to AAA Auto Service and so many more. I always got several quotes that were just outrageous. I told my good friend of my constant frustrations with Auto Service companies and Dealer Services, and the loss of money. My friend she said to me "I NEVER use anyone, but Sunland Auto". The first time I went to Sunland Auto, other Auto Services were telling me it would cost nearly 3K to fix my car. So, I took my friends advice and not only did the beat the price, they saved me over $2,500.00. Other times, they found that what other dealers or repair shops were calling a major issue, was a relatively minor fix, saving me tons of money through the years. They have never lied, exaggerated or over quoted me in all of the years I've been going to them. Scott the Owner is a True, Stand Up, Professional as is his crew. They don't try to sell you what you don't need. Honestly, they'll tell you a cheaper option, or ways to save money. Once I in a hurry took my car to AAA Auto Service for an oil change. They stripped my oil plug. Meaning the put the wrong oversized plug in my oil pan. Oil dripping from it everywhere and of course they denied any responsibility and refused to fix it. So, back to Scott and Sunland Auto Service I went from Glendale to get it repaired. Which I should have done in the first place, and the 1/2 of the replacement oil pan would have been nearly 2K. But Scott as usual was able to rethread my oil pan, so that a new plug would fit and saved my wallet well over a thousand dollarsS. I've never once been disappointed, with their Stellar Service, as a Matter of FACT, for over 9 years, I have not used any other Auto Service. Since I live in Glendale, I quickly upgraded my Roadside Assistance Towing to the 100 mile towing distance (that was really cheap). I didn't have to make the trip from Glendale to Mesa and everything was done, correctly, on time while I was working. Every time I picked up my car, it was a fair and price, quality work, done on time and it didn't hurt paying the bill. Their were a few times I did need a car/rental, but like the professionals they are, they have contracted with a local rental car agency. Sunland Auto Service gets no kick back for the referrals, they do it for the customers. Now the rental car agency is another testament to Sunland Auto Services credit. They give deep, deep discounts to Sunland Auto Service customers, and even pick you up from the shop, gets you in a rental and you are happily on your way in your highly discounted rental. When you return, they come and get the rental for you. I have never got a tiny car, always a midsized sedan or higher. I trust my cars to no one, but Scott and Sunland Auto Service. Scott is GM trained and certified, very few can claim this type of extensive training and he has never failed me. Don't let that fool you, he and his highly skilled crew are highly experienced in all makes and models. I have never met a better bunch of people, honest, professional, friendly, respectful and most of all knowledgeable Business Professionals who truly care for their customers. If you don't believe me, just drive by once, you'll see cars lined around the building to get serviced. But, don't let that intimidate you, because even though Sunland Auto and Scott are in High Demand, you always get an appointment quickly and you always get your car back when they say, on time, done right, at a fair price. Long but informative! Ok, let's start by saying my car buying experience would fit in the 'wow-really??' category. Bought a used car, bought the warranty (useless!!) which paid for exactly 200.00 worth of the work needed, my part?? about 2800.00 so far. Of course everything needed was not under warranty, big surprise. Had the car inspected, oops! they never really did an inspection (wish I had known about Sunland then!), easy 100.00 made by that shop, cha ching! Still have the printout-brakes, struts, EVERYTHING in great working order, IDIOTS! Front wheel nearly fell off 1 week later!! So next I was given the ever enlightening task of finding a new shop that wouldn't rob me, I think "there are sooo many, should be easy..." yeah I have stupid on my forehead. So after 2 months of trying to get my car fixed the grand total was: 4 dealerships, 3 auto shops-found 1 shop that did good work then tried to screw me on major work that wasn't needed. What?? Why?? I finally found the ONLY good dealership in the whole valley (really?? what's wrong with all you?) to do warranty work if it EVER covers anything--PSST go to Avondale Toyota, too far for me to go for other stuff though so moving on, still had no auto shop for other work close enough to do work not under warranty. Till now!! Thank you Yelp! After hiding out for the last 3 or 4 months I had to get an oil change. It took me a month to decide and make myself actually go to another shop. Picked these guys from the reviews and am now breathing a much needed sigh of relief. Didn't rob me, THANK YOU, from the second I walked in the door, pleasant, no pressure, staff is NORMAL and the whole environment was calm and professional. Got a ride to work by a great guy too! Called me in a short time to update me on my car, awesome! I was still a ball of nerves, holding my breath all day till I went in to pay. Expected to hear a bunch of BS, buy this, needs that but alas!! No. Had a few things done, car runs great and I was a bit weary about the tire pressure they decided on, to spec but I thought different, they were right! My car rides right for the first time in months! Had 2 tire shops air them the last 2 months because it rode funny, they made it worse. Sunland actually fixed them by putting in the right air--what's wrong with everyone else?? You guys are awesome! Thank you so much, from beginning to end great work. My search is over, feels like I won the lottery!! Thank you for being normal, professional and actually treating people how you would like to be treated. Brought my Toyota Tacoma I hadn't driven for 2 years in for a complete top to bottom tune up and was surprised to find out that most of the things I wanted done were absolutely not necessary and would just cost me a lot of money. I had a rear window broken, one of those 3 piece ones, and the dealership wanted to charge me something in the $600-$700 range for just ONE little piece of glass! Scott was able to source a salvaged piece of glass for pennies on the dollar compared to dealership price, he even managed to find a piece that matched my tint perfectly! The interior was in pretty bad shape from the window being broken for so long, a cat had even made it their winter home so it was smelly, dirty and just not a great situation. Scott recommended a local cleaner to resolve the situation, they weren't on the cheap side, but they were the only people I'd talked to that would even attempt to get that nasty old cat/urine smell out of the seats. They did an amazing job, it's like night and day. Well worth the steep price, but they did what others wouldn't even try. I recommend these guys to all my friends and family. I admit, I will go out of my way to leave Bad reviews when I get bad service and usually not GOOD ONES. This is NOT the case this time, I wanted to take a moment of my very limited time to make sure and recognize Sunland Auto Service. I have brought my truck to them a few times and from the moment you walk in the door and call you by name... to the time you check out I always feel very welcomed and appreciated. The entire staff seems to have the same goal in mind: Take Care of the Customer, something that has been loss over the last couple of decades with a lot of business's. The guys up front not only take good care of me and my truck, they make sure they take time to let you know what is wrong with your vehicle in layman's terms and if available give you options on fixing it based on your budget. I could go on, but I recommend you visit Sunland Auto Service and judge for yourself, there is a reason why they are rated a near perfect score. I am happy that I found a safe place to take my truck to and trust they will get the job done right and be honest about what I need and not try to sell me on all the other services that more than likely I don't. read more

My brakes were squealing and pulling, so I grudgingly started looking for a brake repair shop. I made 2 different appointments at different brake places and changed my mind because of the terrible reviews. Then I came across Sunland and the reviews were awesome, so I called for an appointment. They gave me a general quote, offered to bring me to and from work and advised they wouldn't start any repairs until I gave them the "go-ahead." All of that was completely true: after dropping me off at work in the morning, I received a call within a couple hours advising of my car's issues. They advised of the total cost to repair front rotars/brake pads and back brake pads. They even suggested spreading out the repairs if I didn't want to pay that amount in one visit. So, I gave them the go-ahead to fix the front and Bob advised that I had about 1,000 miles to fix the back brake pads. Within 2 hours I was on my way to get my car. They were honest, fast, so friendly and professional. I plan on coming back here for any future repairs! read more

These guys are amazing... fast, honest and friendly. The dealer provided us with a courtesy inspection while having the oil changed... and came up with an estimate of nearly $5000 for necessary repairs. We decided to hold off and get a 2nd opinion, since there was nothing noticeably wrong with the van. We took it to a local mechanic (Sunland) and had them check out the litany of problems that Honda had noted. Scott was prompt and courteous in looking over the van and noting all the issues that were of concern and what was not pressing or necessary, and I authorized the repairs expecting the van to be down a few days, but Scott (and crew) had all the repairs completed the SAME DAY! All in all, Sunland saved us over $3500, and the van is in great shape again. Huge thanks to Scott and the crew, they are great, and we'll be customers for life. read more

Honestly, I hesitated leaving my feedback because I want to be selfish and not help make the shop any busier than it already is. But my conscience won't let me hold back. I need to give credit where credit is due. I have been trusting my family's cars to Bob & Scott & their amazing team at Sunland Auto for over 10 years. I don't take my cars anywhere else. I can't count how many times they have fixed my car and not charged me for some of their labor or parts, just to help keep the bill down. I have complete confidence in them that they are honest and don't make up work or fix expensive parts just for the money. New to area and needed work on a 2007 GMC pickup. Called a few other auto garages, got an array of answers but most told me to bring it in and for a diagnostic fee they would find out what was wrong and give me a cost to fix it? Talked to Scott of Sunland and was told to bring it in and he would check it out and let me know what it would cost to fix it, never mentioned an upfront diagnostic fee. Dropped the truck off the following morning, Scott called early afternoon and explained the problems he found and offered me several repair options, and total costs of each. I selected the option I wanted and Scott called about 5 PM, told me the truck was repaired, and ready for pick up. Scott was very polite and helpful even though he had never seen my face. He sent a tow truck and picked up my KIA soul and had his shop check it out. They determined that that KIA dealer could offer some help with a new engine. He sent it to the KIA dealer where it was taken care of without delay even though they were busy. It was as though Scott was able to explain that my wife and I were going thru several medical problems and needed the car to get to the doctors and hospital. Even though Scott made very little or no money for this transaction it did not matter to him. In the end the car was repaired and has had no other problem. Thank you very much Scott! Take my 2002 Toyota to get a man gas tank modular put in that I supplied it was a hundred bucks he told me and then he called me and told me it was going to be $400 then he called me and told me I had a gas leak then he called and told me I had 20 sensor out that he can guarantee that they'll fix the check engine light guess what check engine light still on and I paid $1,250 bucks not one of them call me back to try to make this right they just keep telling me to bring my car in again I'm not an idiot so that's why I'm writing this you cut into my Thanksgiving dinner thanks they took most of my money because I'm over 60 and don't have a lot but thank you read more

I found Bob just by luck, they spent a full week trying to figure out why my car wouldn't start. They tried everything and couldn't figure it out, after replacing many parts that didn't correct it the issue turned out to be a ground wire. They could've tried to sell me multiple parts to increase the charge but instead he told me about the ground wire. They had put over 15 hours of diagnostic work along with replacing parts. Bob didn't feel right charging me that much so my bill was 150 dollars and I was out the door. I have since only used Bob and have referred everyone I know to them. I've taken 3 of our 4 cars in, a 2008 Acura, 2012 Jeep Rubicon, and 2006 Suburban which all have been given first class treatment and Scott makes me feel like I'm a long-time customer. Found this great auto service center yesterday for preventive battery change, received a very reasonable quote. This morning, I took my car in without an appointment and waited my turn, which was not very long. The battery was checked first and found to be still optimally charged amd no battery change needed. We even discussed future car care services based on my plans and needs for the car. Tom and Scott are very personable and professional. This is a business of honesty, integrity and quality service. Great Shop. Don't be afraid of all the cars in the parking lot, they are just that Good. Took my car in for an estimate on a few items that a dealership said were critical, and it turns out that only one item needed to be repaired asap, the other 2 items were in good enough condition to last another year or more, and they would be happy check it out again in 15 to 20 months for free. This place rocks! I took my new to me Avalanche to Sunland Auto Service for a transmission problem, turned out I needed a rebuilt unit. Scott worked with me to give the heaviest duty rebuilt transmission possible at a good price, and with a good warranty. Sunland also replaced the shock absorbers, and did all of this work in less than a week. More recently I took the Avalanche to Sunland for an oil change and AC issue, and Scott and his crew took care of it again in a short time frame and at a good price. Highly recommended! read more

Scott is the best! I brought my Ram 1500 in because it was making a weird ticking noise. First of all I appreciated the fact that Scott didn't look at me like I was a crazy person as I tried to "mimic" the noise it was making. Secondly I appreciated the way he was able to explain what was going on (broken exhaust bolts). Third they did a great job and the truck is running great.
