    Egg tarts were good
    Christy C.

This Chinese bakery is located on the second floor of the Santa Anita mall Parking is easy since there's plenty of parking but can be difficult especially on the weekends It's open daily - Mon-Sat - 10am-9pm - Sun - 11am-8pm Inside is quite small but there is a good variety of pastries, cakes, and even drinks! They're having a promo currently for their egg tarts - $1 each (must buy 6!) The egg tarts were pretty good for the price! The egg was very soft but I wish the crust was more crispy! The crust didn't taste like it was made from scratch and it reminded me of those premade crusts sold in markets. I enjoyed the tart wasn't too sweet and tasted good. Overall, it definitely wasn't the best egg tart I ever had but it was not bad for the price!

Cute bakery with lots of pastry varieties in the Santa Anita mall. They currently have a special on Portuguese custard tarts for $1. They were delicious and warm. Would definitely come back just for those. No pictures since we ate them immediately :) The pineapple bun was just ok. It's fancy looking, but not enough topping on top.

The staff at the Sunmerry bakery in Santa Anita mall are efficient, multitasking sweethearts. They bake pastries, answer the same questions over and over with undying patience, and ring up your purchase - all with a smile. I love coming to this location for their kind service. The pastries are great too! Don't sleep on the dollar Portuguese egg tarts and the breads and the pastries. I haven't had a baked treat there that I didn't fall in love with at first bite.

So many yummy pastries, cakes & mochi donuts to choose from! Make sure you sign up for their rewards program. Look out for their BOGO deals. This month 6/4-6/7 and 6/11-6/14 there's BOGO on their oolong collection (peach oolong, lychee oolong, oolong milk tea, osmanthus oolong tea or milk tea). If there's a line, it goes by quickly.

Sunmerry Bakery is a well-known Asian bakery chain that specializes in Japanese and Taiwanese-inspired baked goods. This bakery is located within The Shop at Santa Anita mall. Beyond breads and pastries, they also offer Happy Lemon boba tea drinks, Thai iced tea, bubble waffles and many more. The shop is clean and well-organized, though it functions primarily as a "grab-and-go" location with no dedicated seating inside. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Baked goods are fresh, milky and fluffy as well as not too sweet. Our favorites are bolo buns, Brioche Loaf, and Pork Sung buns. Drinks are decent and not overly sweet too. Ample free parking is available in the mall parking, though the bakery shop is located deep within the mall, requiring a walk from the entrance.

This Sunmerry is located inside the Santa Anita Mall, which makes it a convenient stop when I'm out shopping. They offer all kinds of Asian breads, donuts, bagels, and cakes. They also have boba teas and my favorite--bubble waffles. The last time I was here, after purchasing a few items, I asked for a cup of water. The staff member said there would be a $0.50 charge for the cup. I hesitated because I didn't expect to have to pay for it, but in the end, he gave me one for free. That was very nice of him. For others, just keep in mind that they do charge for the cup if you ask for water. Currently, they're running a promo for $1 egg tarts, which is a great deal. So if you need a break from shopping, this is a nice spot to grab a quick boba fix and a sweet treat.

10/10 Mochi Matcha White Chocolate - WOW. I'm obsessed with these. I need more of these ASAP!! I'll be trying other flavors next time too. 8/10 Churro Twist - It's a yummy sweet treat but for me it was a little too bready. Cost - Mochi Matcha White Chocolate $3.00, Churro Twist $2.80.

We decided to check out this bakery while walking the mall. They had their $1 Portuguese egg tarts special. I highly recommend getting a few. The crust was flaky but chewy and didn't crumble. The egg custard filling was creamy and lightly sweetened. I only got one and regret not getting more. Service was easy as they handed you them in a container and then you paid at the counter. Great snack spot while at the mall.

Stopped by here to get some sweets! They had $1 tarts, that my friends really enjoyed. I got a vanilla roll slice, a cream puff and a cake bar thing. Everything was quick and easy. The staff was very polite

Love the selection of baked goods here. Everything was yummy! Staff are busy and have a no nonsense attitude. Their drink menu has some interesting items. They also have baked goods plushies! Will return to try them!

I ordered Boba milk tea and the nicest lady behind the counter suggested 30% sweet (because sometimes those drinks can be overly sweet) and it was perfect! I haven't had one this good in a very long time. Highly recommend this establishment!

The strawberry green tea with black tea was yummy and it had lychee jelly. I'm glad the cashier was questioning if I really wanted a boba milk with dairy because I was gonna go for it even if I can't. He did mention they have drinks with no dairy. I went again and the girl also told me they had the coffee drinks they can switch the milk. I appreciate them for recommending other thins because if not I might have gotten sick. I got an espresso latte with almond milk and boba it was so tasty. The egg tarts are also delicious I tried the Neapolitan one and they did say it was more crunchy vs the Portuguese one--my favorite is still the Portuguese one :) Can't wait to try their cake rolls

I usually drink their milk teas and my aunt buys them from the Sunmerry at temple city, but I usually get baked goods from this one especially if there's a sale. They are located in the corner of the malls middle section, it's open wide so not much walls surrounding you and they display the baked goods so well that sometimes I feel like I have to get something. I had a loyalty punch card with a free drink and luckily enough we were at the mall. It was close to closing time so they already shut off the coffee machines but the staff said they can make any other drinks for me. I ordered the iced matcha latte with boba and half sweet. The staff was very friendly and was patient with me trying to decide what to order. Luckily there wasn't a line so I was able to ask questions and make a decision. I got my drink just waiting a few minutes and the boba was still warm. Mixing it up, I took a sip and I could really taste the matcha. It was actually pretty sweet despite ordering it half sweet and the boba was super chewy, soft, and sweet. I really enjoyed the drink and would definitely like to order it again or another next time.

Their Chicha-exclusive tea machines are the star. It looks so cool and professional. It reminds me of an espresso machine, but in this case, it specifically brews tea. I ordered the High mountain tea with pineapple jelly, 0% sweetness. It was FANTASTIC. Full of tea fragrance without the drying tea effect. The pineapple jelly added just enough sweetness to the drink. You do taste the pineapple flavor, which contrasted the tea flavor perfectly. They also have very cute cup carriers that's environmentally friendly. I'll definitely be coming back to try out their other drinks.

They are located on Duarte Ave within the Arcadia Center in Arcadia. It's a contemporary looking tea shop with limited seating. Cool and clean atmosphere. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but they seem fine. There's only one self-order kiosk, but you can order at the counter as well. I noticed there were a lot of signage with various information on the counter. Make sure you read them in case there's something important you should be aware. Since it was my first time here, I didn't know what to try first. Creamy Mango Tart looked interesting. I love mango so I went for it. It cost over $8 which is a bit pricey compared to other tea shops. When I got the drink, I was a bit disappointed because it was a regular size cup. Thought it would be a larger cup especially for the price. Anyway, drink had a cardboard cover and straw string which I don't think are necessary. Perhaps that's why it was over $8 for the decorative nature. Drink was refreshing and tropical, but honestly, I didn't taste too much of the High Mountain Pouchong tea. Sweet mango puree taste was prominently delicious though. Thick velvety mousse layer on top was quite foamy and creamy. I may not get this drink again. Though I would like to try another drink next time. Yes, I'll be back!
