After the birth of my son, I found myself with a stubborn 8 lbs that wouldn't go away, and an even more limited wardrobe because my previous clothes didn't fit, were worn out, were out of date, or were random pieces I has attempted to buy post-partum that didn't look good on me or match other clothes in my closet. Danean did a closet audit to help me figure out which clothes to keep and which to get rid of. She shopped my closet to put together outfits I could wear immediately, kept a list of things I needed, helped me figure out my style, and shopped for me. On her next visit, she brought me new outfits I loved that looked stylish and put-together, and suited my everyday kid-chasing lifestyle. She also ensured I had a few more elevated outfits put together for occasions ranging from Sunday brunch with the family, kid-free girl's lunch, or a dressy date night. Danean has been back several times since then and has been very flexible in working with me in some out of-the-box requests. Once I purchased a bunch of clothes I liked, and she helped me try them on, find matches in my closet and make a list of matches to buy, she shopped for the matches, and she handled all the returns including the items I purchased myself. When I had my 2nd child, Denean shopped for new maternity items and created an athleisure wardrobe so I would have comfy and stretchy but still put-together looks in the early days post-partum, when lots of people stop by to see the baby. TC Urban Couture was, without question, the most unprofessional and distressing vendor I…read moreencountered throughout my entire wedding planning process. What should have been an exciting and joyful moment -- receiving my custom green lehenga for my sangeet -- turned into an exhausting and deeply upsetting ordeal. At the recommendation of our wedding planner, I was excited about this outfit and was looking forward to working with Toral. However, the blouse I received was a completely different shade of green from what I put in an order for - Toral had that outfit in her store already, so it seems hard to mess up. After several frustrating back-and-forths, it was eventually corrected to be closer to what I bought, but the real nightmare began with the skirt. When I arrived to pick up what was supposed to be a brand new outfit, I noticed a hole in the skirt -- a brand new skirt that I had never even taken home. Instead of taking responsibility, Toral accused me in front of mother-in-law of damaging it myself in front of her. I started to cry - why would I sabotage my own wedding outfit? The audacity and disrespect in that moment were beyond appalling. Despite this, she said she would repair it. But when I returned again to pick it up, I found yet another hole in the skirt. At that point, I took a photo as evidence and left empty-handed, heartbroken. The fabric (organza) was clearly damaged and looked worn -- as if it had been reused from a previous client. It was not the brand-new, pristine garment I paid for. I was willing to work with her by either getting my deposit back, using the deposit towards another outfit, or having her remake it (if I got it after the wedding, I would have been open to that). Instead of working with me on a viable solution, her only offer was to "fix it" by sewing now the SECOND hole. If there are two holes in a brand new outfit that should suffice enough to just make a new one at that point. The final insult? I lost $1,325 in deposit (yes, it was contractually non-refundable) and never received a wearable outfit. Toral's dismissiveness, her refusal to take accountability, and her blatant dishonesty make her one of the most untrustworthy individuals I've ever encountered in the bridal industry. Weddings are emotional enough -- no bride should ever have to deal with this kind of stress, disrespect, or deceit. I genuinely hope no future bride goes through what I did. Please, save yourself the heartbreak and go elsewhere.
