My almost 12 year old Australian Shepherd, Oliver, can be a little anxious, which has only been exasperated by the recent loss of our German Shepherd, Moose that has been his constant companion since he was 6 months old. Oliver also needs a little extra care, he had a knee replacement about 4 years ago, that makes his legs shake. He has never been able to put his full weight on his back leg since. Sunny arrived right on time. Was patient and sweet from the get go to help calm Ollie's anxiety. We went over the cut and the special accomidations that he needed with his back legs, and what I wanted for his trim. Approximately 70 minutes later, Ollie was at the door with Sunny. He looked great! He smelled amazing. His cut was perfect, and best of all he has relaxed (as relaxed as a Australian Shepherd can be lol) and you could tell he bonded with Sunny. I don't even know where to start! I am a very hesitant person when it comes to getting my Chief, my pup, shaved. He is a black lab and not many people shave those types of dogs. I had Sunny groom my Brussels Griffon and trim the nails on my two "difficult dogs". She did an amazing job on my little Griffon, he was so happy and I was delighted! Next was "Kassey the 104lb Komondor"; and "Ivan the exceptionally nervous 54lb wired hair Schnauzer". I've waited a little bit to write this review. Sunny groomed our 10 year old Yorkie Poodle mix when I couldn't get him into his regular groomer. All in all the haircut was great, but she nicked his ear a little because she said he was anxious. I appreciated her owning up to it but that was the first time in 10 years that had ever happened to him. I also don't know how I feel about her suggesting that we give him CBD chews to help calm him down. No one has ever suggested that to us and he's been groomed regularly except for last year during the pandemic - he got home hair cuts. I did book her again for our other dog, a 13 year old GSD with mobility issues getting in and out of a car, but unfortunately, he passed away before the appointment. If your dog is fairly calm and used to being groomed by a mobile groomer, then I would recommend Sunny, but our Yorkie poo is going back to his regular groomer. read more
