Good tasting coffee, super friendly barista and free dog biscuits!! Parking was easy and there were a few outside tables we could sit down and enjoy our coffee.

Sunol Coffee is a ray of sunshine in the small town of Sunol, Just off hwy 84. Sunol Country Store is located next door, making it a two for one stop for snacks and coffee! Coffee is locally roasted and delicious. Service is polite and enjoyable. Plenty of outdoor seating on this quite Main Street location.

Sunol Coffee shop has quickly become my go-to in the morning. The espresso is consistently on point--balanced, velvety, and never bitter. My usual is a latte with hazelnut, but the seasonal latte (last time it was pumpkin spice) was also excellent without being overly sweet. Service is what sets this place apart. The barista (Scott) is incredibly friendly, fast, and actually remember names and orders. You can tell they care about doing things right, from the way they pull shots to how they check milk temps.

Very welcoming! I ordered a cappuccino and a sausage, egg and cheese croissant came out piping hot and was very quick. He even brought it to my car. Thank you again.

New coffee stop in Sunol. Sunol coffee , small batch Roastery. Great coffee, nice friendly owner (Scott) and helper Tony. Scott roast coffee offsite, very good! Pastry also available. At this point a few outside tables with shade. Great stop for cycling and hiking groups that frequent the area.

    Hot Nitro Cofee well needed.

A pleasant stop for a good wake me up. Their coffee shop is petite, value of their coffee is wonderful, and their staff is very polite. Awesome people deserve an easy 5 stars. Thank you for the drink Tony & team.

One of the best danish's I've ever had. The berries and cheese danish couldn't have been better. Coffee was also good and staff was really friendly. Nice place to sit down and relax on a weekend.

Sunol a very scenic spot with a cool vibe. A fantastic place to stop while on a bike ride!

I saw that they're staff is composed of culinary school grads (nice). Their truck was pretty nice and their mascots are pretty dope. There's a lot on the menu, and I ended up ordering 2 garlic naan and 4 tacos- 1 carne asada, 2 spicy pork, and 1 chicken tikka masala. The tacos were good, but I felt there was a little something missing from this evening's order. The naan were alright too (they came with a side of chutney). I'd be open to trying more of their offerings though- I heard the samosas were good, and I'm always down for a good spicy pork burrito. Random thought- what if you made a naan/spicy pork combo. That'd be wild. I think if you're at a food truck festival, you need to consider dining at a fusion place to open up your mind and your tastebuds. And if you're at Fremont Street Eats, consider giving 3-3-3 a shot!

I tried the chicken tikka masala burrito with a samosa. I wish I knew that there was going to be a tomato/cilantro mix in it as I didn't enjoy that. The chicken also didn't have a whole lot of flavor. I then decided to try the Korean spicy pork burrito and asked what was in it this time as I saw the bowls had white sauce on it. Turned out to be sour cream. I also asked for no cucumbers which meant it was pork, brown rice, and kimchi. The pork had a kick to it, but wasn't the bulgogi type of meat. I think it would've been better with white rice rather than brown rice though. The kimchi was a nice addition, but again, it was just okay. The samosas were the best part of the meal.

It is located off a newly renovated street where new high rise development were put in to increase dwelling density and foot traffic. It is not quite there yet, but I can see where this is going. It is held in this square near a business park so there is plenty of parking. There is a grassy square where families like to lounge with picnic blankets and lawn chairs. There's usually a dj dishing out tunes, a beer and wine tent, and about 8-10 food trucks lined up in an organized fashion. It goes every Friday in the warm months so from May to October. If a holiday pops up on a Friday like 4th of July they will skip it. Starts at 5pm and goes to about 9pm. Bulk of the crowd goes from 6:30 - 8. I go to about 2-4 per year since 2017, with the exception of 2020 cuz y'all know why. You can see the food truck line up each week on their website or socials. So I like to scan that and if it looks promising then I'll text some friends/family if anyone wants to meet up after work on Friday. If the weather is nice, it is just a just a festive and social way to start a summer's weekend. Now even tho I like these events I don't always like food truck food. Sure it is trendy and you do get to sample and /or get stuff brought to you in one area. But I often just find many of the food to be just average at best at prices that rival sit down dining. So to me I like scoping these out occasionally but I don't think they are worth going to on a frequent basis. I also feel that there aren't enough places to sit and eat once you get your food from a truck. There is a small area where they put out portable picnic benches, but those fill up with just 20 people or so. Otherwise you have to sit on the lawn and come prepared with blanket or lawn chair, or find a concrete planter box to sit on, or go back to your car to eat. Another reason why food trucks events often leave me hanging. But bring a warm typical Bay Area summer's evening where it doesn't get dark til almost 9pm and you want to be amongst your community and commerce, this event will do you more than fine.

There was even some line dancing going on in the makeshift stage area at some point. Sound was not the greatest, the volume quite low even for a small event, but it was fine. There were about 8 food trucks to choose from, along with a few random vendor/service tents (like Bass Pro Shops). Decided on sliders and garlic fries from the Curveball food truck. The food was okay, good enough to satisfy my hunger (see my separate review on that). I snagged one of the few spots in the grass with shade on this hot evening, though they also have tables and seating here, partially shaded too. An actual restroom (not porta potties) on site, in the Fremont downtown event center building. Also, plenty of space available in the parking lot. This is a pretty low-key community event, free to attend and grab a bite to eat, and just hang out for an hour or two.

They sent us directions to pick up in the back, but we got a little lost. Leonard, the owner, came out to find us and introduced himself and shared a little about the food and their projects. He was such a nice guy with big plans for the food! Into the food itself - The tuna mayo onigiri was STUFFED. There was so much flavor in every bite. I was a little cranky you have to order in twos but afterwards that first bite, I'm glad I had a whole one to myself! We got the Portuguese sausage with musubi and chili oil. The chili oil had a lot of heat and flavor to it! I don't recommend the chili oil if you're picturing a light spice because it packs a punch. But if you like the fire, highly recommend! My partners favorite was the classic teriyaki spam with unagi and avocado. I really enjoyed the portion sizing of each item - created a really perfect bite. The unagi had an extra smokiness to it. I think it's probably prepared in house/not supermarket unagi - the taste was quite different from that! The chicken lumpia was crispy and perfectly seasoned - not too salty and savory. The Thai chili sauce wasn't too spicy at all either. We'd definitely be back to try more!

While the musubi are absolutely amazing, and it is their namesake, the Mrs. And I really like the onigiri! It's surprisingly hard to find truly good onigiri here in the US that lives up to the quality of the ones you'd get in Japan. Leonard, the owner clearly puts a ton of effort into each. He's definitely perfected his craft. The Mrs. and I have ordered from here casually many times before on our days off. We've tried the tuna, mentaiko, and ume. Mentaiko is my personal fave. The tuna is excellent too, and the ume has a classic salty-tangy flavor that's unique and refreshing. It's a great option for vegetarians as well. Recently, we ordered from Leonard to have onigiri catered for our daughter's birthday party. We got those 3 flavors. Originally, we just wanted something unique for the adults alongside the chicken nuggets and pizza we got for the kids. Man, we are so glad we did. The onigiri was a massive hit! People absolutely loved it, including guests who weren't necessarily huge into Japanese food or culture. They disappeared FAST! Like so fast I didn't get to eat one myself! This place is seriously a hidden gem in the East Bay. Definitely stop by, try the musubi and onigiri, and say hi to Leonard, who is genuinely one of the nicest people/owners you'll meet.
