Back again for a couple of spinach Asiago bagels with scallion cream cheese, always top notch. HUGE crowd this morning, but worth the wait

I was hungry after the spa and looked up nearby brunch-y places. I got the lox bagel on jalapeño and cheese bagel (scooped out and toasted), with everything on it. The bagel was delicious, and I loved the pickle on the side. This shop is centrally located and the owners are just lovely. I'd give the bagel shop 4 stars except they don't clean the tables in between customers. Great place though! I'll certainly be back!

Possibly the best jalapeño cheddar bagel I've had. They don't skimp on the jalapeño rings!! Our breakfast sandwiches were so good! Piping hot because I think they do heat up in the microwave to melt the cheese but idc. Bagel still had bite. Service was friendly even though they were busy. Limited seating inside and outside.

We love dropping in for a quick breakfast sandwich. The place is usually busy in the morning but do a great job in getting your order ready. The staff is super friendly and tables are available inside and outside.

Great bagels! We got an avocado veggie bagel sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar bagel (it was warmed, so the cheddar was even better), and a lox bagel. Important to note they charged extra for making the lox bagel open faced, and extra for the jalapeño bagel being a specialty bagel. Very worth it though, so good!

Bagels were good and filling. One will fill you up and the coffee was okay. Staff worked pretty fast, not too much inside seating but plenty outdoor seating. Got the everything bagel which was good and the plain bagel. 2 bagels and cream cheese and coffee was about $14

These ladies were very friendly helpful and gave advice on what they liked and what was most popular. The customers are laughing with the staff and there are various drinks like fresh squeezed orange juice and concubine water offered along with boba and several cold drinks in 3 fridges. I will definitely be back to try additional treats! Today I got the cinnamon crusted bagel with cream cheese and the chocolate croissant per their suggestion.

The bagels are so fresh! I have been here 2x and I'm loving it. I will say the inside of the restaurant kind of throws you off because you can see a lot of random papers and things around (fridge is not organized - boxes of Kit Kats just thrown in and scattered things in the back). HOWEVER the food is FAB and that's all I really care about at the end of the day :)

I ordered the mesquite chicken sandwich on a pesto cheese bagel and it was delectable and filling! I also ordered their boba brown sugar without caffeine but it was okay. They are mostly known for their bagels so I would highly recommend ordering for what they are known for. My companions ordered eggwich w/ bacon and another one with sausage which they enjoyed. Our wait time was very minimal. There was some seating available but I felt a little cramped with limited space.

I wanted a quick breakfast before my daughter's swim class and everybody else must have had the same idea cause why was it poppin like that on a Saturday at 10 AM though... sheesh! But where there is a line, especially at a place that has been around forever, I'm gonna assume it's good. First timer here so didn't really know what to expect other than they had bagel sandwiches but was really pleased to see how many bagel flavors they had, as well as cream cheese. They had a good mix of sweet and savory bagels, and flavors I've never even seen before like strawberry! They sell tubs of their cream cheese in the fridge, in various sizes, and had a good selection of flavors to choose from. I was shocked to see the unique cream cheese flavors like pineapple, sundried tomato basil, etc. The line took some time to move, and the inside is super small so it gets cramped very easily. They do have a few tables to dine in, but it doesn't seem comfortable at all, especially since you'd be crowded if there is a line. You order first, and then wait on the side to pay once your order is ready. The employees here seem really nice though, based upon my own interaction and what I witnessed for the other customers. They have a system, it's steady, just don't expect to be in and out in a jiffy. They do charge a fee to use your credit/debit cards, BOO!! but they do accept apple pay so that's always a bonus. In addition to bagels, they do have croissants for your breakfast sammies but it is an upcharge. An eggwich comes with egg, cheese and sausage, ham, or bacon. No options on the cheese, it's just good ol fake cheese but NGL I do love me some Kraft. I went with a sausage eggwich on Asiago bagel, so yummy!! The bagels are nicely toasted, so crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. I don't even like bagels like that but this hit the spot. I feel like the sausage, egg and cheese were whatever though. Felt like cheap ingredients and fairly bland as they do not salt the eggs. I was looking for ketchup, YES I LIKE KETCHUP ON EGGS, but all they had was hella mustard :( I didn't bother to ask since they were so busy but next time I know to bring my own. Aside from breakfast sandwiches, they do have a selection of sandwiches for lunch, and a whole drink menu. I ordered the tropical sensation smoothie and it was delightful. Sweet, cold and creamy, without any ice chunks. IDK if this would be a go to spot for me, but definitely gonna add it into rotation if I need a portable breakfast while in the area.

I'd recommend sticking with one of the bagel and cream cheese combinations, as those seemed to be the strongest menu items during our visit. The bagel sandwich with sausage and egg was decent, but not quite as impressive as the bagels themselves. The muffin we tried didn't seem quite as fresh, which was a little disappointing. Pricing was also on the higher side, especially for a fountain drink at around $4, and about half of the soda options were unavailable when we visited. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast or grab a quick bite. Overall, a solid stop for fresh bagels, and I'd happily return to try more of their bagel and cream cheese offerings.

The bagel wasn't really toasted, just slightly warm, and the microwaveable egg situation really left something to be desired. I couldn't finish it because it was just a bit unappetizing. We did think that it might have been guac since the menu doesnt have avocado, just guac. The bagel with cream cheese was good but they were VERY stingy with the cream cheese. It was such a thin layer I could barely taste it. The bagel and the bagel sandwich were both room temperature/cold, not warmed even a little. The sandwich was packed full of red onion and red bell pepper with several tomato slices. The cheese was sparse. The sandwich was very flavorful. The jalapeño cheddar bagel is good because there is jalapeño all throughout, not just on top. That's good because the bagel they gave me 2 of the 3 jalapeños on top were missing; I could see where they had been but they weren't on my bagel. I'd go back but I wouldn't frequent. It's not bad, and I think if I had paid $2 instead of $6 for my bagel with cream cheese and $5 instead of $10 for the sandwich I would be much more enthusiastic. It's just with those prices, I expect it to be fantastic. One other note is they were out of sprouts and to indicate this they put a sticky note on the computer that just said "no sprouts". They were not informing anybody of the lack of sprouts when the orders were placed, but rather shouted across the shop at a woman who ordered a sandwich to tell her by the way, there are no sprouts. The sign should have said "we are out of sprouts" or the customer should have been informed upon ordering.

It's in a corner of a very cute gourmet food hall and had a good selection of goods left in mid-afternoon on a weekday. Service is also friendly and prompt. I had to get the kouign amann because I always get one wherever I can, and also picked up a plain croissant, currant scone, and panna cotta. The KA was decent; I would call this one a diet KA because they only put the sugar on one side so it was more like a brulee'd croissant. I also have to admit that, while this shaping is very attractive, the direction of the lamination makes eating this feel like shards in my mouth. However, flavor was excellent. The plain croissant is very plain. It's decent but I've had better. The scone and panna cotta, however, were delightful. Both had lovely soft textures and wonderful creamy flavors. The scone held up for two days and wasn't even a bit stale when I finally had it for breakfast. Highly recommend this tucked-away bakery in the Castro Valley!

Seven Hills Baking Co was my first stop as I haven't had sourdough since childhood. I got their classic sourdough loaf. Even though it wasn't warm anymore it was still amazing. It was quite hard to cut into with a serrated bread knife, which I'm not sure whether that's normal or abnormal for gluten sourdough. However, the inside was lovely and soft. Nice strong sour flavor, spongy dough that was almost moist (not at all dry). I want to note on the gluten free front that seven hills baking co offers a few items which they advertise to be gluten free. Though the ingredients may be gluten free, the items are baked in the same kitchen, the same oven, and then put side by side with the gluten in the display case. Furthermore I don't believe their ingredients are all certified gluten free. Therefore I do not recommend seven hills baking co for anybody with celiac disease. Do not buy your friend with a gluten allergy or celiac these items. There is most certainly cross contact.
