Almost 8 bucks for 3 bucks worth of food. Plenty of bagel shops around that give you the money's worth.

For almost 8 dollars I expected more of a sandwich. This poorly made breakfast sandwich hardly had anything in it. There's plenty of places around that will give you more bang for your buck.

A f***ing burnt bagel. Not even a toasted bagel. It's a f***ing bagel shop that serves BURNT bagels. How this made it through is bonkers

Burnt bagel from a friggin bagel shop. Not even a toasted bagel. Tried to call and tell them and they were complete f***ing dicks.

Egg and cheese bagel with pork roll and hash brown

First of all - The man at the cash register is so so kind. My friend asked for hash browns on the side today. The person taking our order misheard her and they put it on the bagel. We let them know and without question they gave us hash on the side too. Great customer sm service and not to mention the place was pretty crowded when we were there. They really went out of their way to correct the mistake. Going over the top to make sure we were satisfied definitely didn't go unnoticed. Bagel was out of this world. Perfect proportions of egg and pork roll as you can see in the picture. Nothing better than a Jersey Bagel with pork roll, egg, cheese and hash -- but this place knows how to do it. Absolutely would recommend

a ham and cheese sandwich on tin foil

This place is a rip off. They barely give you any meat with breakfast sandwiches. So I opted to get extra meat. For 2 sandwiches. Almost $6 extra. This is what I was given. This is not the first time. Check your orders before you leave.

Shit place with a staff only works when they want to. Waited a ridiculous time for one bagel. Avoid.

Food is pretty good but it's overpriced. Overcharged us and put out change in the tip jar.

The man serving me did not wear gloves. Wiped his face was not sanitary by any means. Not worth the overpriced mediocre food.

No NY moment here. Slow service, can't get the order right the first time and skimpy on the cream cheese .

Sexist and disrespectful staff. Their food was quite stale too, there are many other options in Montclair.

They have mini bagels, flat bagels, and all the fun flavors. Tons of different cream cheese to choose from. They give a good amount without it feeling like a huge glob block. All the staff is nice. Old metal heads. Cool to see old music memorabilia on the walls.. someone must be from New Orleans too because there's a lot of saints and New Orleans stuff. (Hard to find those Zapp chips up here) Cash or card. Parking lot. Full grill. More than you asked for.

I'm a big everything bagel guy (and either with BEC or with just plain untoasted with butter). They always have some fun variations on the typical everything bagel. Love when they have the Asiago Everything available - what a treat! Tons of cheese melted on top and it just goes really well with whatever you pair it with. Been going here now and then for years. Not always the easiest spot to get parking (the lot can fill up for sure) and sometimes there's a wait, but the bagels are always super fresh and delicious. Highly recommended if you're in the Clifton area or coming through and need a bite. Just realize there are no tables or anything, so you may have to bring home or eat in your car!

I went to Bagels by Jarrett tonight based on a recommendation from an Instagram influencer…read more I have to say, they have a weird setup. You can't go in the actual restaurant. If you ordered ahead of time, you park in front of the restaurant and wait in your car as a girl comes and gives you your order. Otherwise, you go into the restaurant next door, The Slice Shop, and order from a tablet. Odd. I wound up ordering The Cutlet Joe Triple Decker. It was a good sandwich, don't get me wrong, but it costs $22. That's kinda wild. It comes with a side of chips, pickles, and coleslaw. I also ordered a buffalo ranch slice from the slice shop, which cost $5. Also decent. I definitely appreciate the uniqueness of their menu, but I won't be returning for a long time due to the high prices.

Jarrett serves everything, and I mean everything -- bagels, pizza, cheesesteaks, subs...need gluten free? He's got that too The food speaks for itself...everything tastes fresh, perfectly textured, and is consistently excellent. But what really sets this place apart is the pride behind it. You don't get that rushed, transactional vibe here. You get someone who actually wants you to have a great experience, and it shows in every interaction and order. Customer service is second to none. Jarret is friendly, transparent, present, and genuinely invested in what he's doing. That's rare these days -- and it makes the whole place feel different in the best way. You feel not just satisfied, but impressed. Like you just found a spot you're going to keep going back to without even thinking about it.
