I wish Yelp allowed partial stars. I would give 4.5. The half star was due to a bug that landed in my food, but I did not mind too much because I was able to handle it with little effort and no effect on my food. With that said, I would return and plan on doing so when I am back in the area. The service was impeccable. The server checked on us quite a few times and was always looking at patrons to make sure all was well. The food was so fresh and well prepared. It is rare to find a place that makes the hash brown and bacon crispy without request. I thoroughly enjoyed both. The Castroville Omelet was delicious. The artichoke hearts were not over-pickled. And the amount of artichoke hearts took up the whole omelet. My husband ordered the Crab Omelet. I am always wary of seafood omelets because most are fishy. Nope! Not this one! I had a bite, and I was amazed. I could taste the crab, but it was nowhere near fishy. It was so fresh! And they did not hold back on the amount of crab. I was amazed. The restaurant was quaint. We got there when it opened, but I can imagine the place filling up fast and needing to wait. I highly recommend Sunrise Cafe! read more

Don't be put off by the simple, wild side. The inside is clean and bright. The service was good and the food was even better. If you're looking for a view this is not the place but if you're looking for good food, I would consider this also I would ask for the fresh pico de gallo on the side. I judge a breakfast spot by its eggs Benedict and let me tell both of these were perfect. Service was super nice and respectful and menu's are also fairly easy to navigate. Although the building is small , there's many different seats to choose from which is also nice. Would definitely recommend trying this spot out since I know there's a huge variety of breakfast spots in this area. read more

I stopped by here with my family for breakfast, the service was excellent and very friendly staff. The food was good and came out quick. My son loved the watermelon that comes on the plate they brought out some extra slices for him which they did not have to do that. This cute little café serves up the yummiest breakfast burritos, Belgian waffles and avocado toast we've ever had!! The coffee was made fresh often and although it was a busy time for them- they came by often to refill. Even tho the servers were slammed they maintained smiles and positivity.
