If I could leave this place zero stars, I would. I don't even know where to begin with the issues this place has . Like everyone else you give an establishment a shot and see what they have to offer. This being the only bar in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood we all try to support it. However it wasn't until we actually went into the establishment, that you come to realize that this place is blatantly racist. And treats anyone who's a minority with dismissal & disrespect. The audacity that this place has to be racist to minorities with the name "Casa Blanca" is staggering! Based off the other reviews, everyone kinda comes to the same consensus is that they have horrible bartenders who are obviously racist I have unfortunately had the miss pleasure of dealing with Shannon, who is an absolutely rude and disrespectful human being, and has no right deal dealing with people of the public. I did not like Casablanca when I first in came in, unfortunately due to it being the only location in the area friends kind of force you to go against your will and still give this place a shot every single time I've ever come back to this establishment, it has been negative energy. Always hostile when trying to get any kind of service. I always advise my friends to never support this place or anyone else who Hispanic or African American. Do not spend your money here! The last time I was in this establishment, I received raw chicken wings, and that just really sums up the level of a incompetency at this at the establishment. I hope one day someone purchases this bar and turns it into something where all people are welcomed and treated with respect. read more

The greeting you will get from all the the barkeeps in this small little grill/bar is loud and often. SHANNON,whom was given a bad review only once===she takes the time to learn patrons names. Phil was a terrible bartender. He was very rude to my wife when she asked to play pool. My old fashion was terrible. He cleared the bar out and did not want a busy bar. Did not want to make money as we were there to spend money. We spent over 200 with Shanon but he did not want our business. Please find a new graveyard bartender so we can come enjoy the night and spend money! Food was great. Service was nonexistent. Went around seven PM on a Saturday; maybe five people at the bar. Bartender was an older blonde female. Served one beer while playing and wasn't acknowledged beyond that. Asked if they had any specials and she just replied "no, nothing is on special". Continued playing, pushed the empty glass forward, and still no service. I would have even paid for it if she would have just acknowledged me. For the bar to be that empty and get such bad service is a real shame. Inside was nice, but definitely won't be back. read more

You're in a bar but the food is being cooked in food trucks in the parking lot. I like bars and I love food trucks. I ordered a smash burger and fries but hedged my order with coleslaw thinking how could I go wrong except the slaw? Listen: this food is good and fast. This bar is friendly with attentive tender. Btw the Coleslaw was great. It's a neighborhood bar folks, not a racially biased bar as some reviews may suggest. Stopped in here on January 22 for a little midweek date night. Was initially waited on by nice lady. Shift chged. New bartender asked us if we would like another couple by of drinks. We said yes. I asked for the wine other than Sutter Home. I said I believe it's the one you guys get from Costco. He said I don't think we get it from Costco. He said we don't get items from Costco and It's a wine that is brought in by a customer for her consumption only. He said he's really not allowed to touch it. His words. He would make an exception. Interestingly enough she must bring in a case, because I saw more identical bottle tops in cooler AND I was given the last of partially used bottle as my first glass by previous bartender. No problems. I live in area and have seen Costco delivery van in their parking lot. Interesting. I felt very unwelcome since bartender was making a special exception that he did not want to accommodate. He offered me Sutter Home or a Chablis. Uh. No thanks. We drank Sutter Home at keggers in high school. While yr at it, try stocking some Blue Nun please. We visited this bar several months back. We were waited on my Shanon. She told us they had added a new wine. Sonoma County Chardonnay. Yep. I believe carried only by Costco. Hence the name Kirkland plastered on label. I should know. I do buy this wine often. Sooooooooo. This was our third last time we will frequent this establishment. Granted it is more convenient and closer to our home, but anymore date nite, happy hours will be spent at Timbers. Always welcoming. Food is good and I don't have to be a special exception by requesting wine not served at prom. As a side note, I specifically asked if I could bring my own unopened wine and then have it sold back to me. I was told not allowed. Our money spends just as well other places. I stopped by to grab some dinner after hearing that the food is supposed to be good, and seeing they're open 24/7. What I found was that every hand sanitizer machine was empty, the men's room was a stinking mess and I couldn't locate any staff...until some gruff guy approached me and asked "so, what are you drinking?" When I told him I don't drink alcohol and only wanted some food, he barked "yeah, well, you're too late for THAT. You should've read the sign coming in!" So, I turned around to leave and that's when I heard him call me a "punk" in front of some customers who were seated at the bar. Charming. Casablanca has become our go to bar on Sunrise. We've stopped going to the other bar's up on the mountain. They have the best bartenders. Shannon keeps you laughing and is always making sure you have what you need. Friday nights with both Shannon and Jim are packed with good drinks, music, people and food. The most unwelcome feeling I have ever had walking into a place. Came in around 4pm on a Monday. Some older folks around the bar playing machines and the rest of the place was empty. No one behind the bar. We were standing at the entrance and no employees could be seen. One person came out of (maybe) the kitchen, saw us, grabbed an ice bucket , and went back to the kitchen. We were standing there for about 5 minutes and then left. We have lived in the area for 28 years and saw on Yelp that the kitchen was open and rave reviews about Chef Carlos. Came in to try the food. This is a good place to try. I hadn't been to Sunrise Casablanca for a while and I'm glad I stopped in. It's located at 6320 E. Charleston on the corner of Charleston and Fogg. I was going to have a hamburger, but after viewing the menu, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and a draft. I asked for the cole slaw on the side, which is usually put on top of the sandwich. The pulled pork was great and the fries were great as well. Casablanca has great music and a lot of tv's for viewing and an outside paito. The service is friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my experience and will return. There is plenty of parking with the main entrance on the north side. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Please remember to tip accordingly. read more

We have been regulars at Sunrise Casablanca and for the past 3 years and every time we go in there the food is great but service unfortunately not great. The old white lady bartender Shannon shows how racists she is. She makes it very prevalent that she does not like to serve black and brown people. She speaks to us rudely, never checks on us if we would like additional drinks and speaks to us aggressively. I will not spend another hard earned dollar in that establishment. If you are an East Sider, The Blanca is the bar you want to go to. The bartenders are cool , the food is Good, and the slots are loose! Its a chill atmosphere with a lot of returning customers. All the bartenders know your name ... like the show "Cheers". Lol What more can you ask for? FOOD&DRINKS I usually order chicken wings and fries which is always on point. The shrimp cocktail is basic but still good. The shrimp basket is also yummy, fried to perfection with a perfect crisp in every bite. They have daily food specials that are so worth it! The bartenders learned my drink after the first visit and that honestly made me want to keep coming back. They have a good liquor selection, although the drinks are nothing fancy , they do get the job done! Only thing is I wished they served lunch. Came here for the first time today to fill my craving for Monti's Smokehouse BBQ. We shared an order of the Tupac fries, the Monti Cuban Sandwich, and some wings. All the food was great and the Tupac is probably my favorite way to eat french fries. There are plenty of TVs to catch the games and the bartender was friendly. Definitely easier to park here than it was at Monti's old location. Happy to see them partner with a great bar. read more

I've lived on the east side my entire life and let me tell you there is absolutely NO good food over here other then the commercial crap. It's extremely refreshing to have new food let alone with how absolutely mouthwatering delicious it is! I've had a few things and even brought my family back to sit on the patio. We had the mozzarella sticks, fish and chips, the Caesar salad and nachos. First with the mozzarella: you get five which when she explained them didn't sound like too much but when they hit the table wow I bit into it and the cheese kept stringing as I pulled it away from my face. So much that my husband and I lady and the tramped it. Well backwards lady and the tramped it. I think we made it to 3 or 4 feet before the cheese broke. Fish and chips: the batter had a beautiful golden color, fish was moist and fresh with no foul odor and holy fuck that tartar sauce. IT MADE THE DISH. Caesar salad: bigger then I expected, the cheese was nice and the croutons seem to of been made from scratch? I'm game. Lastly the nachos: ok honestly we were stuffed by the time we got them but since they were recommended by friends we had to try them. After the first bite I knew why. All and all we had a great experience the new people running the kitchen and knowledgeable and have passion for what they are doing. The recent reviews sound completely bogus. Please try the food before you take someone else's word for it. From one foodie to another you won't be let down. read more

I played a song for my friend really quick because my friend couldn't think of the song I was talking about... josh grabbed my drink and told me he was going to throw it away if I didn't stop playing it... I told him to put my drink down I didn't understand why until he told me to turn my "fucking shit off" my family and I are regulars here and I have never been so disrespectful.
