Sunrise Diner is one of my new favorite breakfast spots in Ocean City. We went once in May with barely any wait time and then in early June we waited 45 minutes for a table. If you're going during peak season, go early, put your name in, and make sure your phone is on. They'll call you three times and if you don't answer they give your table away (speaking from experience). We ordered the goddess bagel, the donut French toast, and the golden yolk avocado toast. The portions are beyond huge. We probably could have gotten away with one or two dishes for three people. The avocado toast alone could easily be split between two people. It comes with an egg on top of each slice which I wasn't expecting. The donut French toast was delicious. When it comes out it's overwhelming because it's just a tower of food, but it was really good. Now let me tell you about the breakfast potatoes. Hands down some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, nothing burnt, and they stay warm the whole time. Everything comes with their sunny sauce on the side. I looked at it and thought I didn't need it. I was wrong. You need the sauce. The sauce is life. read more

An absolute gem in OC! Located right on the boardwalk but very close to free street parking! The inside is so adorable and cozy. We were sat in a booth and I love how the tables have information about their eggs, soaps, and menu items on it! Also Rocky the TV show was on and that really impressed my boyfriend haha. Muhammed was our server and he was great! He was always rounding on us and the food came out fast. My platter was great, I just wish the bacon wasn't so fatty. My boyfriend also got the platter but with scrambled egg and it was more like a folded egg - and was unfortunately really dry. The cookie French toast was delicious!! And you need to get the bumble latte, it was the best latte I've had in awhile! I also love that they recycle their bacon grease and make soap! We will definitely be back! read more

Cute little place just off the boards in Ocean City. The staff was very friendly & Mohamed was attentive. And they do a lot of positive things. Always farm fresh eggs, and they repurpose the bacon grease to make soap, rather than send it to the landfill. I got the sausage & gravy. Big portion and pretty good, although, like so many other places that offer this dish, it would have been nice to have the option to add an egg or two. (And a nice upsell!) My wife got eggs, toast & bacon, and she asked to have the bacon CRISP. Either our server forgot to tell the kitchen, or key it into his POS terminal (it wasn't on the ticket) but the bacon came out limp & inedible for my wife. Stepped into this warm & cozy diner and loved everything about it! We're here on an off season, so the wait wasn't long, but even then, all tables were full. And rightfully so! All ingredients used seem so fresh and high quality! They have a local egg promise which I appreciate. I tried the 24k smoothie and my partner had their bumble latte - both delicious! For food, we shared the bumble toast and the sunrise platter and was not disappointed! This is probably my new staple whenever in town! read more

I am not one to leave reviews but this little spot on the boards really made my morning! I was greeted by friendly staff the moment I walked in. I tried the signature Bumble latte and haven't put it down since I left. Perfectly balanced sweetness and they offer oat milk as an alt to dairy. Our breakfast sandwiches were loaded with meat + eggs. The only disappointment is how long it took for me to try this place! Will be back this summer with the whole family. Went here this morning, and it was delicious! I got the tree hugger avocado toast and ate every bite. You can tell all of the ingredients are fresh and well-prepared. The waitress was also very efficient and friendly in dealing with our party of 10 with different requests and preferences. The restaurant itself was super cute and cozy. Arrived at 9:20. Did not get seated until 11:05. Had multiple groups of the same party size or bigger go in after us and put their number in for a seat to be called back. They all got seated 10-15 minutes before us. Ridiculous. I went to sit down and my table they gave was completely disgusting. Food from prior service on the floor and seat along with straw trash and tissues. Prices are average for the food in this town. The table is cluttered with laminated papers all causing a headache that is overwhelming. Also the junk sitting on top of the table is too much. No room for food! Ordered a water and a cookie butter French toast meal. Waited over 40 minutes for my food once seated. My party had 4 people. Food was good but due to the service and cleanliness, probably will never return. read more

Extremely short walk from our hotel on the boardwalk and I'm so happy we found this place. It's a quaint little place that offers a very unique menu. They have your traditional breakfast with eggs and bacon/ sausage but they also offer French toasts that are drizzled with peanut butter and honey, topped with bananas, or donut flavored French toast with whipped cream on top or these amazing breakfast smoothies that your kids are bound to love. The portions were ample and were absolutely delicious. The French toast I had were drenched with sizzle of honey and peanut butter and the melted whipped cream gave it the right amount of sweetness. I would absolutely come back to this place again and order something else. The place is very small so coming with a large group isn't ideal. It's a small Dinner that has their own theme and different kinds of theme food besides the old French toast and pancakes you get all the time at different breakfast places. The diner is underneath a hotel. It's in a location that you have to look to find since it's kinda hidden. Our visit was Tuesday June 20, 2023. You can navigate through the diner easy as the place is small and only have two available rooms for guest. As you walk into the diner, you have the front desk where you see your hostess and the cashier where you pay after you eat your breakfast. As soon a table was ready. They took us in the other room where all the tables was. Our host sat us in a booth. We sit down and order our drinks which was the orange juice and we started to looked through the menu. The menu wasn't a very big menu but it had a lot of options for you. We ordered the Donut French Toast and the Cookie French Toast. We also order a side of eggs and Turkey bacon. You do have to order them for sides and doesn't come with the French toast. We did want to order the biscuits and gravy but they was out unfortunately. We waited about 10-13 minutes for the food. Both French Toast was good. I really liked the Cookies French Toast better than the Donut French Toast but it was still good. The Turkey bacon was delicious and the eggs was good too. All together the food was delicious. It kinda was a bummer not available to get biscuits and gravy as that kind of food was one of our favorite breakfast options. The place was clean and very nicely decorated. You feel very welcome to Sunrise Diner. I love the sunrise them all around the Diner. It felt like you could always be happy in that kind of environment. The bathrooms was clean during our visit even with a busy crowd. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and very helpful of what is the best option on the menu to pick from. Our waiter was nice and always had a smile on her face. Looked like she really liked her job. The guy that bring us our food was very nice. We didn't have any issues with any of the staff. We do recommend this place for a great breakfast option in Ocean City Maryland. The price are a little high though but that is something for a small business. We pay over $70 bucks for what we got. We did a lot of add ons to our food like cheese on the eggs etc. They do cost extra for that stuff. We went on a weekday so don't know if it's busy on a weekend but you should definitely try Sunrise Diner during you vacation at Ocean City. Overall 4.7/5 read more

I went here a couple times on my trip to ocean city and it's a gem on the boardwalk amongst dozens of trash restaurants. The food was pretty good, especially the sausage and potato's, the diner was very clean and well kept, and it had a very cozy 90's vibe. The service was pretty good but the restaurant was very packed when I went at 10 am so I would recommend going earlier as we waited around 20 minutes for our food. Food Menu: Their food menu has an option for everyone, there is quite a decent selection of food. Prices: $ prices are definitely fair and you really get what you pay for quality wise. Cute little place hidden just off of the boardwalk. We were quickly seated and our drink orders taken. Our waitress was wonderful, though I sadly forget her name. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of strawberries, which nixed my daughter's plan for the açaí bowl. However, the meals we ended up getting were pretty good. The sausage and potatoes were great. Had a great meal here while visiting ocean city. They were super patient with the super energetic 2.5 year old who was with us which was a huge plus. I got the golden yolk avocado toast which was better in theory in execution but still decent. My friend got the goddess bagel and I think that's really the way to go next time. If you like sweets for breakfast, they have a heft menu of French toasts. I also got an iced vanilla latte and it was delicious. I asked for a rye toast lightly toasted I got burnt toast you can tell from the photo. Look at the amount of margarine not butter. The table was wobbly it was self service for your plastic utensils Salt-N-Pepa napkins only have half-and-half no milk For your coffee. The girl behind The counter is pleasant and nice. Just can't get the order right or related to the cook. Or the cook just didn't bother to read what I requested. So obviously this is not a place if you want your food right. And then they had the famous Bright toast that was out of this world but now it's disgusting. The owner just called me a 13-year-old because he can't take criticism that is because devolution is all screwed up and needs to be there and attend to it. And no his doors were not opened they were clearly closed with they close sign on it yesterday and today. In town for a couples days, this place was close by where we were staying. We decided to stop in for breakfast. I must say I was extremely disappointed. My pancake was flat and raw. I tasted nothing but raw dough. My potatoes were dry, could've gotten it from a local supermarket. Small portion for all that money. Smh! The seats needs a deep cleaning, crumbs and dirt left behind. Once we received our food, our waitress offered us plastic utensils because they said they "ran out of silverware." Unfortunately, Starbucks was packed so I kept riding. Generic bagel, maybe 2 pieces of bacon , 2 thin slices of tomato, some ripped up iceberg lettuce and a few thin slices of avocado. For the cost may be should have ordered an omelette. Uber bagel uptown makes a similar with homemade bagel, avocado, Turkey bacon and an egg for about the same price with better care and taste.
