One of my favorite lunch spots in OC. Love the breakfast tacos. Always fun to sit at the bar.

First visit (4/11/26) and it was good. A varied menu for breakfast foods and lunch. Server was polite and attentive. Our food came out quickly and was hot. My eggs were cooked just right and my sausage links were flavorful. The home fried potatoes were a delicious surprise , cubed thick and seasoned just right. My rye toast was a thick marbled slice and was tasty. Condiments were readily available on the table including butter packs and creamer. The outside decor is reminiscent of old school Jersey diners , inside is a bit cozy with Beachy murals painted on the walls. My one dining companion got the strawberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast which was loaded with both but sadly lacked any kind of French toast flavor. Their thick perfectly cooked bacon is delicious! Mom had the Yankee sandwich and she liked it. We would come back when in the area. Prices are reasonable for the area. read more

Great diner in OCMD! All meals are served all day, but I opted for breakfast and it was delicious. Loved the breakfast potatoes and the portions were generous. It is a little cramped in there so I can imagine there might be a wait during busy season, but the service is quick so you can be in and out! read more

We went to Decatur Diner on Thursday, Nov. 6th for lunch, after about a year since frequently visiting this unique establishment in West Ocean City. Having had great experiences prior, I have to say they really missed the mark that day. My husband ordered Eggs Benedict and was upset that the eggs yolks on top were not loose and runny, as they should have been, but overcooked and hard. So he asked the young waitress to just bring him an over-easy fried egg to go over it. That took enough time that his meal was quite cold by the time it came. I ordered the roast turkey open-faced sandwich with mashed potatoes. When it arrived, I was astonished to see the whole plate swimming in dark brown beef gravy instead of a light turkey or even chicken gravy! This completely changed to whole flavor of the meal, and it was NOT good. We were very disappointed in the experience and probably will not return again at least for some time. I have never heard or seen anyone using beef gravy on turkey. Actually, it tasted more like pork instead of roast turkey. The waitress commented at checkout that is how they always serve it. It wasn't in the past because I have ordered it many times before there. read more

I stopped there once with my daughter and had a great experience stop there again with my husband experience was a little different. I don't think the waitress knew what was going on. She got her drink order wrong. She got the breakfast wrong and when the breakfast came out the chipped beef was cold. We did tell the girl at the front desk and she did apologize for everything. Lucky we stumbled upon this place!! Small, quaint, off-the-beaten-path of touristy ocean spots with friendly service and a traditional Maryland diner menu. Well, aside from the pipeline and a couple of other items. I had the 1/2 pipeline with scrapple gravy on the side. It was very filling and I know it's popular. I don't knock it but probably wouldn't have it again. I imagined more of a skillet style dish instead of the oven baked tower of breakfast it was. The best looking things are the traditional breakfast items. 2 in our party got over easy eggs, done perfectly!! There aren't many places who can do that right in 2023/24. Pancakes were great, all the breakfast sides, scrapple, and chicken fried steak. This is a definite stop on our return to OC! read more

Came here for breakfast and wow the reputation does not disappoint! Our Order: The pipeline, biscuts and gravy, home fries and fruit, coffee and a sweet tea. Execution of Order: Everything and I truly mean everything was cooked to absolute perfection and the fruit was so fresh. It was an absolute treat to eat here. Staff and Services: It took a few minutes for us to be seated which wasn't bad. The server we had wasn't very attentive and didn't have good customer manners. Seating: The seating is a bit crowded for this small quaint little diner. Drink Menu: The drink Menu is very small. Food Menu: They have quite a large menu,which had a large variety of different options. There's something for everyone. Prices: $ Ombiance: The Ombiance is very quiet and comfortable. Typical small diner atmosphere. The food was delicious and the staff were very nice. Their home fries are amazing.

The place was packed so had to wait a bit, sat at the counter. It is small but service was quick and waitress' were all polite and personable. I had the sausage gravy over home fries, great tasting gravy, needs more sausage though. Side of scrapple was very good, fried just right. Wife had chipped beef gravy over home fries and it looked great. She said it tasted great too. The home fries are fresh cut potatoes, not frozen premade. Coffee was good too. Mushroom and Swiss burger and home fries were ok, but the bun was not good to me. Could have seasoned up the bun and charred it up on the grill. The burger was unseasoned, some people like it that way, but I like a little seasoning on my burgers. Waffles and sausage. Sausage was great. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Review for winter and late Spring 2021: Decatur is One of the very few restaurants in the ocean city area where service has not suffered due to COVID-19 because the employees have all been there a while. And they really care about doing a good job. To the guys in the hot kitchen, and I think one of them is the owner, you see them working very hard to get your order out fast, tasty and accurately. We've been there many times since slightly before St. Patrick's Day for both breakfast and lunch and have never been disappointed. The food is good, the prices are reasonable for a resort area and the portion sizes are very good. Off season They have two really good waitresses who were able To keep the people at the approximately 15 tables and booths, happy. Takeout both times has been perfect. For breakfast I would like to recommend 2-2-2. It's a hearty breakfast that you may not be able to finish that is reasonably priced. read more

Look. I hate being the person that leaves a mediocre review, especially when the staff was friendly and the service was super efficient. But the food left much to be desired. The fiancé got the pipeline, which is a ridiculously sized breakfast burrito. He was skeptical about the gravy topping so he got it on the side. And had he not... we wouldn't see that it was topped with sliced cheese. It was a lot of food for sure, but a lot of it was just potatoes and not much sausage. I ordered the seafood omelette and was pretty excited- it was probably 2 eggs at most and pretty thin, and it included like 4? shrimps, a few baby scallops, and there was no crab anywhere to be found. There were about 5 unevenly largely cut onions in the eggs that were barely cooked so I didn't eat them (I like my onions pretty much caramelized). I substituted the biscuit because there were so many gravies I thought I had to try the biscuit with gravy. The sausage gravy had very little sausage bits and wasn't flavorful... it was mostly starch and was so thick you couldn't really even pour it. The biscuit was on the hard side, and there was no buttery flakiness to it. The home fries were good. Overall, it was extremely packed with a few outdoor seating options. -Was it decent diner food? Yes. -Would I come back? Possibly- it's on the way back from the beach to DC, it opens pretty early, they have a solid amount of menu options, and the service is fast. -Would I go out of my way to come back? We came due to some great reviews, but were disappointed overall. Service was great though. The food.. not so much. I got an omelet with mushrooms spinach onion and cheddar. It was decent. The home fries ruined it- so much salt!!! Wowza. The waffle was dry and just meh. The stuffed French toast was terrible. There was a weird flavor to it and they were also salty. Came here for an late breakfast/early lunch, all depends which of us you are talking to. This diner was hopping busy and we had a 10 min wait, not bad. So we had a chance to look at the menu. My husband ordered the toast with sausage gravy and home fries, so good. I ordered the small fresh cut fries, just perfect and all servings were generous. And don't forget the coffee, it was rippin' hot and fresh. The servers and kitchen were in their glory being here, they were efficiently busy and no matter who ordered what it was delivered in a short time span. Just amazing, as if there was nothing else besides filling orders. They had it down to an art. The servers also refilled your coffee without being asked! I don't understand why it is so good. It just is. A simple diner with a fun retro feel puts me instantly at ease. I have long since outgrown chicken tenders, but my teenager loves them. One bite and I was hooked. We dine in, we get take out, and I eat those delicious tenders all the time. And the fries? Oh the fries. So good. Maybe we had gotten so used to the pre-made frozen crap at many places that the good honest homemade food blew us away. It has been months now and we are still blown away. Love it here! read more

After a long drive, my friends and I were ready to recharge our energy. This place is perfect! We got here around 11am on weekend, and it was already busy. Parking was packed as well. We had to wait for 15 mins, which was not too bad. Prior to our visit, I saw many reviews about the pipeline. So of course, we had to get it, along with surf and turf omelette and fried chicken steak. We were gonna get a full pipeline, as we were hungry. However, the waitress advised to get half of a pipeline. Well I'm glad we listened to her. Half of a pipeline was still huge and very filling. The surf and turf omelette was good, and had a decent amount of crab meat. The fried chicken steak didn't disappoint, as it was delicious. Overall, I'm amazed with the food and service here. Went for breakfast on a tuesday. You guessed it. Got a BLT on rye with fresh-cut frys. They dont do cole slaw. Wifey got 2 eggs, toast and Homefrys. First off, service was fast!! Seat yourself and she comes around. Took 5 minutes or so the food to show up!! BLT was cut on diagonal. I like. Had to ask for mayo on it. As with any good diner, i got it on rye. They do the "light toast" on their toast. Like, 1 or 2 on your toaster light. So it was still soft but warm. Filled with lettuce and tom. Thin layer of bacon . The fry's were fresh. So fresh they only fried them once!! no salt. Wifey's eggs were cooked just right. Homefrys were dynamite!! They come with onions. Coffee & Iced tea served in plastic cups. The only real problem with the food was how the potatoes and onions were cut. Very un-even. The cook made it hard for himself to cook them evenly. Lucky they have a french-fry cutter in the back. Pretty good experience. With a few changes this could be my go-to diner!! read more

This diner had a great local breakfast atmosphere! Our server was patient and kind amongst a busy environment. When I say this place was packed, I really mean it. The space itself was small, and as a result, many patrons had to wait outside to be seated. I had the crab meat omelette and it was perfect! The home fries had a meaty taste to them and were seasoned heavily - they were so good and stood out to me. The rye toast they serve was cut thick, which I really liked. The kids got pancakes and bacon. They did not like the pancakes and the bacon was super salty. I got a meal with two eggs, bacon, toast and home fries. The home fries were also super salty. I originally got OJ to drink but it tasted like grapefruit juice so I ordered cranberry instead. Be aware that the juices are $5 per cup. So I paid $10 for two plastic cups (8oz) of Cranberry juice. 3 stars because it's a small place and probably family owned but the food is 1 star read more

It's a small Diner, but the service is great and the waitress was very polite. We were a large group of 15 with 2 dogs and they accommodated us with outside seating. We sat down on the 3 big table outside and they gave us a plastic plate for us to put the dog food. The food was ok nothing amazing but the kids food came out quickly. read more
