    Country Ham, Eggs, Home Fries

We were craving breakfast food this morning and thought we would give this place a try. I have a mixed review about it, and while I didn't hate it, I'm not sure that I would go out of my way to have it again. When we walked in we were handed menus and told to sit wherever we wanted. I've never had that happen before but I wasn't mad about it. The restaurant was pretty clean and there are a LOT of tables. They even have a private room if you have a really large party. We were greeted pretty quickly and drinks and food came out lightening fast. The one thing I can say that was 100% positive is that their service is FAST! I ordered 2 Eggs over medium with Country Ham, Home Fries, and a biscuit. I also ordered a waffle because I wanted to try them! The waffle was AWESOME! Light and fluffy, and perfectly cooked. My daughter agreed. My eggs were perfect and very good and the country ham was AMAZING. The home fries... this is where they lost me. The home fries are HUGE, and that means they are a lot like the end piece fries at Chick Fil A that everyone throws away. I like small home fries, and they just didn't even come close to doing it for me. The biscuits, this is pure speculation but they tasted and looked like canned biscuits. I'm not accusing them of not making biscuits, I'm just saying I would never go there for biscuits! My mom had coffee and said it was mediocre coffee at best, and wanted to make sure that was in the review! last, I think the prices were high for what we got. Prices are high everywhere but breakfast out shouldn't cost $40 for 2 people!

This is definitley one of my favorites in Thomasville! The Baked Spagetti has been one of my absolute favorites for most of my life! The pasta is always cooked great and most importantly they don't hold back on the amount of cheese on top! The sauce is always just the right amount too. I have been wowing people with my ability to finish the entire plate (which is quite large) by myself in one sitting. My family also loves their seafood dishes as well! Their food bar has great Baked Chicken, Rice and Fried Okra.

Filled with locals on a weekday including what might have been a Bible study, I had an excellent breakfast here. Free wifi and I even managed to get some work done. A really super omelet - green peppers, mushrooms and cheddar cheese - with real potatoes on the side and whole wheat toast where she remembered not to add butter to it. Perfect. Lots of coffee and now I'm AWAKE and ready to finish my drive to RDU. Well done, Sunrise!

Oven baked spaghetti, enough for three people!Loaded with mozzarella.

We saw this restaurant on Yelp and after sitting on the interstate for an hour we were so happy that it was close to the exit. My husband had the 1/3 pound burger and I had the baked spaghetti. Tasty! The prices are very reasonable.

Wow! Now THAT'S what I call a good ol' fashioned home cooked southern dinner! I'm a picky eater, and everything was my kind of perfect. Not fancy, just simple yummy! All the food you see was for 2 people and only $16 before tax and tip. Next time we can get one meal and still have left overs. HUGE portions! My husband had fish, shrimp, fries and a salad. He said the breading was delicious. I had chicken tenders, shrimp, baked potato & a salad.

Good Cheeseburger, good chicken fingers and good fries and it's not a chain! Will definitely go again if we're out that way.

6 STARS and 1 word...WOW!…read more What I first walked into Max's I realized that I'd walked into a neat, little local place. The ambience is, well, basic. But that's where basic ends. I ordered a fried flounder plate at $12.99. That's right, $12.99. It came with a LOT of flounder. Combined with the sides, it was a belly full. Also in the menus was an 8 oz ribeye for...brace yourself...$16.99!!!! Now let me talk about the service. Demarcus, our server was incredibly attentive to our needs. So much so that we left her a +50% tip. If I lived nearby they would know me by name. Heck, they might even put my name on the wall for being so regular. If you don't eat here when you're in town, I'm sorry, but I just cannot think highly of you. /joke/ So, overall, they get 6 stars out of 5.

For those of you that love breakfast food... it's available all day! Everyone at the table loved their meals, and the service Jasmine provided truly stood out. She was attentive, kind, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is casual and family friendly, with TVs playing kid appropriate channels, which made it a great spot for all of us to relax and enjoy our time together.

This is my second story. Look up my part 1 story there on the Eastchester diner…read more.... I was at a friends and all decided to rent a movie and watch it because he got a big flatscreen TV and surround sound, etc. So, they convinced me by suggesting we just order out from Carolina Diner (opened just over 1 year). However, I drew the short straw to go get the food. This time there was only 4 orders simple stuff just straight off the menu items. I showed up placed the orders and waited. When they took my order they told me it would take 15 to 20 mins to fix and pack to go. So, I just sat on a stool after about 15 mins of standing. There were not many people there but that's when I started to get asked 2 or 3 times by different staff if I had been waited on and I told them yes. I was there for about 45 minutes and the staff had a shift change. A new couple of waitresses and a new guy at the register. At this time they asked if they could help me. I said, I placed an order when I first got here and still did not have my food. They looked all over and stated that there was no order and even asked the kitchen if there was a to go order. They said it was already picked up and showed them my order. I said no it has not. They wanted to know if I gave it to a friend and was trying to skip out on the bill. I told them no and the customer beside me said he saw me with no food and I had been sitting there exactly like I said. They had no choice but to believe me. Then I got a phone call from my friends asking where are you? I told them what was going on and that they were redoing the order. The manager entered the store and figured it out before the staff thought worse of me and made sure they did my order right away and gave me a glass of Tea for my troubles. At this point again they told me it would be 20 minutes. The kitchen staff changed shift five mins after the manager came in and so my order again was not processed. After 20 minutes the manager was asking the kitchen where is the customer's order? They were like what order we just got here and there are no standing orders. The manager proceeded to take my order again and told the kitchen get everyone on it and it needs to be out in 5 mins or else. In the mean time he told me it wouldn't be long and apologized again. My order came out and it was on plates not to go boxes. The manger took care of this immediately and then placed my order at the register. From the time it took me to walk from the stool to the register a customer rushed up there to pay in front of me so I at this time was there so long I was like what's one more customer. The manager saw I was waiting there but the lady that jumped in front of me called all her 5 friends over so she let them front in front of her. So by the time the 6 of them paid that was another 5 mins. I walked up to get the order and the cashier guy charged me for the orders and the TEA that was supposed to be complimentary. I was so tired of being there I just paid for it anyway instead of complaining, the manager came up to see what was taking so long and saw I had to pay for the tea and I thought he was going to have a fit. He asked me to check my orders and I did. I said well you have 3 orders but my order is not in here. He couldn't believe it. He looked at his pad and the orders himself and said what happened to the 4th order. Apparently, an inside customer ordered the same thing I did and a waitress saw it on the counter and took it while the manager was shifting everything to the to go boxes. Also the other cashier had charged me for that order too. He promised to have them remake it but I said no I'm not hungry now it was my order that was messed up. He said I'll take care of this myself. He then opened the second register and gave me back the money for the tea and food then said please come again. I said I doubt it and went to leave and he said why? I said, "Hold on my friends were calling again." At this time it was an hour and a half. I told them I was just walking out but the manger interrupted and said no wait I want to know something. So I hung up and said yes? He wanted to know why I wouldn't be back. I told him how long I was there and he said no way. He just couldn't believe it. I said I watched the waitresses change and now the kitchen change and he come in and asked him and how long have you been here.. He realized he had been there 45 mins. I said thank you but I'm leaving. I have people waiting on me. He tried again and again to get me to come back and even said he would give me back my money but I didn't want it. I was done with the place and didn't want any connections to it again. I went to Wendy's and got myself something to eat and went back to my friends house. They couldn't believe I had all that to go through AGAIN. Because they all knew the other story and was just shocked. So, now I won't go to Carolina Diner ever again no matter what location they are at.
