The owner was absolutely amazing--so warm, welcoming, and full of great energy. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were in great hands. We're from Houston and this was our last night in San Antonio, and let me tell you... what a beautiful way to end our trip! We did this activity on a Monday evening and it was so fun, relaxing, and memorable. The owner treated us like pros and made the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. We couldn't stop smiling and laughing the whole time. We will definitely be telling everyone about it! If you're ever in San Antonio... only a short 30 minute drive, you have to check this place out. 10/10 recommend!

Yarnivore 1/6/2026. 1…read more Happy New Year to me as I dusted off my knitting needles and bag which has been hibernating these 5yrs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The store is absolutely lovely and has a large and varied selection of yarns and all things knit/crochet. I opted for a class to help me jump back in to my long lost hobby. Suzy teaches 12pm-2pm and invites us to bring any questions or projects we need help with. She was a delight to meet and helped me remember things I had forgotten from projects I had left unfinished as well as start a new HAT with a new wool yarn that I bought at the store. Cathy helped me at the counter and was so very welcoming and kind. She invited me to wait in their sitting area which is super cozy. I was surrounded by example projects and even a knitting "bowl-stand-table" that was hand made wood from a local wood crafter. I included it in my photo of the sofa area. It is so pretty. I'm satisfied with my class today and have knowledge to finish what I had started and a new project on my circular needles Thanks Suzy and Cathy for your help today. **BEWARE THIS PLACE IS A SCAM**…read more Go somewhere else for painting pottery! The ceramics are expensive with most pieces being between $32-$48, all with "Made in China" labels. However, there is no paint or kiln cost it's all included with the price of the ceramic so it makes sense that it is on the higher side. But with the cost of paint included we watched the employee ADD WATER into the paint bottles there. Then when I went to use the black paint it was so watery that it bled onto my other designs. I mean it's ceramic paint, not water color. When I told the girl working she said her boss added too much water to the black paint. My mom asked for the name of her boss and the girl said Videria but not sure how to spell it but didn't want to give her name. When I asked what to do about my piece because I had just spent hours working on it to have black paint run on it, she asked what I wanted her to do about it. I mean I feel like if you work at a pottery shop you should know how to wipe off paint or fix something if it gets messed up. My brother was working on a larger piece and on his second coat of paint when she came over and told him less goes farther. And took his paint away to bring him back a little amount. I'm not sure that treating people this way and diluting paints is the best way to run a paint pottery shop. If a boss or owner wants to reach out with their contact info my mom has a photo of the girl. At the end we spent $140 for four small ceramics and had inattentive service, and saw how slimy a business this place really is.

What a wonderful and unique shopping experience! The staff was so personable (without being intimidating or intrusive) from the minute we walked in. It felt like we had been friends forever. Our four young boys were with us and they were treated like family too. The sweet sales person stooped down to eye level to my youngest (age 3) and gently took the time to explain to him 'why' he should not touch the guitar that was propped against the wall (not just admonishing him for touching it - good teachable moment done with love and respect). Then she followed that up by giving him (and the other kids) a coloring book! What a darling thing to do! The store was covered in unique artwork, jewelry, accessories and finds you don't see in other places. I enjoy a colorful whimsical aesthetic, it was like walking into HAPPY LAND! And oh! my! gosh! The baby & children's clothes are to die for! What a perfect place to come for a gift! We learned about some new womens athleisure & womens clothing items she has in the works. I will be absolutely be back to check them out. They do carry an extensive collection of Meileg dollhouse items. This makes me wish I was 5 again. Our little ones were in wonder (as I was) taking in the experience of the store, but were very careful to look and not disturb. I know it's so difficult to keep a boutique going in this day and age were people want to buy everything online, but what would we do if we didn't get to actually see and enjoy these treasures in person any more? What fun would life be then? I think it's important to visit your local businesses and help out where you can. We learned Iva Style is also a woman owned business, and I commend her for making it through Covid. Hopefully the rest of the Artisans Alley will soon come back to life. It does look like its had a few hits but WE all carry some economic power to help bring these fun places back to their former glory. Its a perfect place to go have a girls day (my husband enjoys too) without having to drive all the way to Boerne or Fredericksburg. They have a wine bar where you can get a charcuterie board some other shops that are truly gems, like a balloon specialty shop! Definitely check out The Alley on Bitters.

I would say that this just isn't the place for me, but I actually found some cute coasters for a friend's housewarming present and a pair of earrings for myself. By the time I got home, the earrings broke- I had to use krazy glue to get a gemstone back on, and then the first time I wore them, the post fell off the actual earring! It was children's quality jewelry with a grown-up $18 price tag. If I didn't live across the country, I would have gone back for a refund.

There was also tasty pizza provided from the restaurant next door, Sofia's. The kids had such a good time, and there was never a dull moment. I highly recommend this party spot!
