Revisiting always good for breakfast diner vibe always great food. Locals eat here so nuff said

Look at all the thin layers of egg in this egg and cheese sammy, served on white toast.

Local GEM. This little diner in Dewey, right before the turnoff to Rehoboth, is always busy and there's a good reason why; the locals know what's up. The food is delicious, portions are big and prices are reasonable. No-frills interior, super quick service, a few outdoor booths where you can eat with your dog if you'd like. An enormous breakfast sandwich will run you about $8 and fill you up for lunch, too. Omelettes, pancakes, just good diner food done very well.

Steak and eggs were really good. Large piece of beef and perfectly cooked eggs (3). The home fries were also tasty. The staff were very attentive. Constantly checking on our table and our dogs. I like to grab breakfast here as the prices are always right and the service has been outstanding. Wish they had hot chocolate.

Ate breakfast here 2 years ago and it was really good. Cool little joint. Nice to chill out front. Service is std. Stopped today on a bike ride for a Coke and a snack. My wife got the fruit parfait. It was big with fresh fruit. I got the fruit cup. For $5 it was a little small and my only complaint is there was no cantaloupe. My wife's was full of it. Mine was mostly honeydew. It was good and fresh fruit and not the crap from a bucket. Out of the way of the busy touristy spots too.

Everything was perfect. Service was fast, restaurant was clean, and the food was great. (I recommend the ribeye omelette) Will come again!

We did our first bike ride here, just 4 miles and you could literally drive right past it. Definitely a local joint. I walked in and headed to the register to get a menu, deciding to sit outside. I'm such a stickler for being greeted by someone. Not here, a guy looked me right in the eye and turned away. No 'I'll be with you, hello, seat yourself, nothing. But! I'm here so, I'll go sit outside. Service arrives! Friendly helpful women. And that ride guy picked another table. Good came out fast. It was just OK. I thought diner looking with a little building dinge would go a long way. Nope. Just ok. So they get a 3, I won't return. Plenty others to try nearby.

Great little place Food was quick and good. Plain not fancy so the price is good. Service was great I believe the owner is on site because the workers were very helpful And even though its old and a bit outdated it remains to be comfortable You have to try it Great for large families with children and a budget. Also they still use Melmac dishes and cups. If you ever watched ALF the tv show from the 80's he came from the planet where the dishes were made fun stuff.

The remains of the kids pancake and one egg

We stopped in here for breakfast after trying and failing to get into Starboard for brunch. My 2 & 6 year olds were not going to survive a 74 minute wait. At all. So, we drove down a block and immediately found parking at Sunrise. This is an ENTIRELY different vibe than Starboard, BE AWARE. While Starboard has an expansive, diverse menu with tons of outdoor and indoor out seating, this is a FULLY ENCLOSED diner with plastic booths, zero ambiance and a 2 page menu. If your heart is set on an experience, this ain't it. But, if you just have hungry kids to feed and don't care where you go: this is it! Their menu is very small: omelette, eggs, pancakes, French toast. The basics. Bacon and sausage but no turkey, vegetarian or vegan meat options. The coffee is fresh, strong and steaming hot. No lattes, cappuccinos or americanos in sight. Not even a single piece of fruit lol. The drinks are served in styrofoam cups, which may or may not be due to to the pandemic. The coffee cups are even lighter weight plastic than a motel's and yet... the food was good. We came in with two hungry kids and the waitress, though harried, came over and took or drink orders and the kids' order immediately. We were going to order both kids a short stack because there is no kids menu at all, but the waitress advised that the pancakes were large and the kids could have one each. We did that with one egg each. She brought the two extra plates without complaint. Amazingly, the kids' food was out shortly after our drinks. I'd say they waited no more than 5 minutes total for their food! They were happy and that made us happy. The pancakes are huge and although the 6 year old was still begging for our food it was mostly because he wanted it and not because he was hungry. The omelette menu is expansive and they don't use egg in a box, neither do they fill their omelettes with flour or starch to puff them up, they're a basic, protein heavy omelette choice with your choices of cheese: feta, cheddar, pepper jack or Swiss (I think) and they have an awesome array of toppings. I did not see any seafood though which is odd, but I wasn't really looking. My husband, in-laws and I thoroughly enjoyed our omelette. The home fries were CRISP with just the right balance of seasonings, and their house pepper sauce is cayenne and it's very good paired with the omelette and the potatoes. Their toast is thick wheat toast, it looked amazing (I'm off bread) and my husband and kids forged themselves on it after eating pancakes. This isn't fine dining, it's diner eats. The menu is small, but what they do, they do well. If you just need to fuel and go, it's an awesome place to do it. The service is quick, courteous, and efficient and the food is hot, fresh and filling.

Great breakfast with even better service. Highly recommend while in Dewey. Awesome diner.

It's ok. A little dive spot along the main drag. Nothing special. Interior is older style diner type. Food was fine. Waiter nice. A little warn, could use some love to brighten it up, add some sparkle, and bring a little something special to the menu. Value for meal was reasonable. French toast not done as I had asked (I watched the cook make it as it's an open viewable kitchen). Asked that the bread be batter soaked for a couple mins before frying it (gets it more moist), but it was dipped and then fried immediately. Try it I guess. But don't go out of your way if not right near by. Just a good quick go to spot.

    Breakfast wrap

The food was good, the toast was a little under toasted the wrap was good, the omleate was good, little to much cheese overall it was pretty good. The food came out very fast and it has good service.

"Did it look like that to you?" "No, it was a pokey little hole." So, I double checked my notes to see if I was looking at the wrong place. Nope. Checked the map yelp provides. Yeo, that was the place. I went to and wow was my experience different. My wife and I found it looking down a small side alley, the sort that has charming little shops off the main drag. The place was small and dark, and words like 'charming old-style drifted in my mind. and 'old school local place, what coffee shops were like before Starbucks.' There was a high counter and a couple of people sitting off to the side, talking around a small table. and it went downhill from there. As we stood there one of the people sitting bellowed out a woman's name and said 'customers!" I would later find out this guy was the owner/manager but he seemed more involved in his conversation while a small older woman, I'd noticed hauling trash bags and the like, seemed to be his sole employee, who was also supposed to serve food. It was a small thing but it sort of stuck in my mind as to 'why didn't he help?' my wife and I each got a coffee and they were only about $3 each. OK good. The milk was in a fridge in the corner, and this is where things went south. I poured it in and it was off. We were several days past the 'use by' date and it was not viable. I point this out and the owner from his chair said 'oh, get another.' and moved behind the counter. I thought he was getting me a fresh cup but he seemed surprised to see me standing there when he turned around a couple of minutes later. I guess he was refreshing HIS cup but meant I could open another container of milk in the fridge to pour different milk into the cup I'd already added sour milk to. "Oh do you want another cup of coffee?" At this point I'd had enough. I wasn't going to make a fuss, it was only $3, but I wasn't going to stand there any longer. I left. Between the dingy setting, yelling at employee(s), sour milk and an inability to see a problem with this I honestly wondered if I was being punked. My wife, who took her cup black, said she found it too sweet but after the parade of what I saw, I am beyond surprised at the large number of good reviews here. I'd like to say maybe I got them on a bad day but with the pictures being at such variance form my experience, wow. And I looked very closely before I wrote all this and could see how those would be the same place but just, a long time before I got there.

We each had a veggie omelette, one with egg whites and no cheese and the other with Swiss. The omelette comes with a portion of potatoes (they were fine), a small salad (nice touch, with a decent vinaigrette) and bread. We got English muffin ($1 extra) with one and an everything bagel ($2 extra - no cream cheese) with the other. The omelette was large, with good portion of filling, including spinach and tomato. I don't know if they use an especially good Swiss cheese, but it "popped". The coffee here (Segafredo) was really good. A medium blend, but flavorful and rich. I really enjoyed the coffee and plan to buy some when I get home. The service here is very good. There's one place we go to once whenever we visit Rehoboth, both because it's solid and for nostalgia (Robin Hood). That will remain our first place. But I think we found our place for the second breakfast. It's a bit more expensive than some (by a couple of dollars), but the portions are large, the food is good and the coffee is great.
