This was an all day job since he had to take the old system apart, drain refrigerant, put in new refrigerant, and install the new part. He was marvelous. On his lunch break, he taught me about alligator bites and where to buy them in Shrewsbury. One more reason to love Control Point in Shrewsbury.

This 26 year old system was also installed by All Temp Systems and so we opted to stick with them for our new system too. They're a local business and have always been quick to respond when an emergent need arose. I requested a quotation via their web site and received a response from the owner the same day that he would prepare a quote. A day later the quote arrived for the new system and we were pleased as it was a few thousand dollars less that we were anticipating. We also compared it to two of our neighbors who had similar systems installed by them in 2018 and 2020 and found the price difference to only be about $200.00 more. (We were pleasantly surprised to see that they were holding their prices steady and offering fair and competitive pricing in a time when everything else seems to be increasing by leaps and bounds.) We took advantage of the Mass Save heat loan program and obtained a zero % heat loan to cover the cost of the furnace which also qualified for a rebate too and scheduled the installation of the system. The 2 technicians arrived on time as scheduled and were very friendly, polite and worked diligently on disassembling and removing the old system and getting the new system installed. In quick order, the system was ready for the gas fitter to hook up the furnace and the electrician to make the electrical connections and install the new thermostat. Within 6 hours, the new system was tested, up and running and all of the work space in the basement and outdoors was cleaned up and all of the old system components taken away. From quotation to installation, the whole process was very easy. Everyone I interacted with (Mr. Zagame, the owner, and the installation technicians) at All Temp Mechanical Systems, Inc. have been very easy to work with and answered any and all questions/concerns I had. I also have to commend All Temp Systems on keeping their prices reasonable given that it seems there's a fair amount of price gouging going on everywhere. Like any business, they're entitled to turn a profit...but it's nice doing business with someone who's giving their customers a good value for the money with fair pricing. We were a long time customer of Demelo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. Over the years we have…read moreused them for drainage issues, plumbing repair and hot water heater maintenance and until recently delivered a reasonable service. On our request, Demelo came to our house on June 7 to clear a clogged kitchen drain. The technician worked on it and declared the problem fixed. We were charged $230. About a week later the drain was clogged again. On June 17 Demelo returned to clear the same clogged drain. A different technician "fixed it" and charged us another $370. In a weak moment I paid. So after paying $600 and one more week, the drain was clogged again for the 3rd time. On June 28, we called Ari's ProDrain Cleaning to clear the same clogged drain that none of the Demelo technicians were able clear. Ari charged us $250 and gave a 30 day warranty. The drain is working well now. I contacted Demelo several times to complain and I requested a $300 refund (should be all $600). After several calls the Demelo business person told me that the owner can only authorize a $60 credit on THE NEXT SERVICE. Demelo does not provide a warranty on their work even though their website states under plumbing services: "Demelo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is there to fix those problems, making sure your day-to-day routines, whether at work or home, continue unabated. Need an installation or repair? Call us. We'll have one of our team members out to appraise the situation and get you up and running, leaving you with the confidence of knowing the job was done properly." In other words empty words. The charge time and materials whether they fix the problem or not. Clearly a company to avoid.

They recommend low-quality products and do poor installations. They put in a boiler for me, the heat exchanger broke, and I had to pay them again to install a new one. Now it seems like the system might even be leaking carbon monoxide, and they refuse to come back to inspect it. Their customer service is rude and dismissive. Every job they've done has led to another issue. There are plenty of better HVAC companies out there -- I'd strongly suggest staying away from this one. The problem clearly starts with the owner and the leadership.

Saturday 1/31/26 very cold and we had clients arriving at 9:00 am , At 6:00am lost heat in one of the businesses The repair man called about 8:30 saying Ill be there after noon, I have 3 before you . We set up heaters in all the treatment rooms (stressing out ) My cell rings about 12:00 He states " Im not coming!! T & J Office called me saying " You dont have a maintenence agreement " Ive never heard of this!!! I did have to call and email multiple times to have the issue resolved, but it was resolved. Hopefully others have a more positive experience with this company than we did: They came to our home in May 2024 for AC "tune up" for the season. I was told that the system was in great order by the tech and supervisor with him. They charged me for the service: $169. That very same day the motor on our condenser failed. The part was under warranty, luckily; although they tried to charge me for the part, until I reminded the billing department I looked up the warranty myself. They did charge for the labor (169 again)-- despite the motor failure occurring the day they tuned up the system. November of 2024, we realized the Honeywell control board for our heating system had failed. Our system was about five years old at that point. Schulz techs replaced that part and charged us 455 for the service, which we paid shortly after receiving the bill. We paid using their online payment system on 11/17/2024 and payment processed 11/18/24. Eight months after they replaced the control board and we paid for the service, they sent another invoice for that same part from 11/2024 for 296 dollars. The original bill was for parts and labor. We found a far better company to use. We will not use Schulz again. Luckily my husband has his credit card statement and invoice to show we paid previously. Maybe just an error, but it isn't the first issue with this company.
