The burrito I got included camaron y asada. The burrito included rice, beans, cilantro, and onion while the tacos had rice and beans. I enjoyed the variety of proteins and felt like each one had its own distinguishing characteristic. They were all different and good in their own way. It has been awhile since I visited, but I do remember that it was a great experience!

Plus have you seen the tacos no onion or no cilantro that's like giving a quesadilla with no cheese like I've seen multiple reviews stating how they forget that stuff what am I supposed to put pickled onions on my tacos. The steak was ok not anything great the chicken was dry like 0 flavor the cheese they use doesn't stretch like Oaxaca cheese and the salsa game is weak afff the green is watery and red has no heat overall it was buy one get one free taco and mulita so it cost 12 bucks so I'm not as upset. But I can see why it's buy one get one cause they such poorly made tacos and it's in the gas station right next to world market. They have chairs but there homeless people asking for food or money at this rate I might give a homeless man my food since it's so bad that's my ambiance take.

Every time I've seen them, they are parked in Sawtelle, on Sawtelle & Mississippi Ave right outside Daiso. The JFC Bowl. It seems this is the star and it's what I got at Gozen. JFC = Japanese Fried Chicken bowl, it is karage topped with a lot of goodness, including spicy mayo. It has a kick to it in all the right ways, full of flavor. The fluffy dog is just $5 and so original and cool. It's messy as heck, got some spicy kick to it and at least for me, totally filling. I'm going to have a hard time ever ordering anything besides my magical bowl moving forward. Legit good food and I'm wanting to eventually try their whole menu once I can move past my JFC.

The kaarage ($7) was well cooked - chicken was tender and moist with a nice crust and the spicy Mayo was the perfect complement Rice cake bonito ($2) was decent - nice to have a warm thick rice cake with just enough bonito seasoning. After you order you can spin a game to win prizes. Mostly likely you'll win some rice cracker and hi chew but you could win a fun mask or a cool Gozen tshirt!

We've eaten here many times before and it has become one of our favorite spots in LA. As a vegan, I especially love all of their vegan options, everything is always fresh, flavorful, creative, and satisfying. It's honestly hard to find places that do both vegan and non-vegan food this well. Last night we brought home the Breakfast Burrito and the Beef Guajillo Burrito for the kids, who literally stay up late waiting for these burritos because they love them so much. The portions are generous, the prices are great for the quality and amount of food you get, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. What really stood out was the kindness of the owner. When he heard we were taking the food all the way back home for the kids, he graciously added delicious elote corn, rice and black beans, and a bunch of amazing salsas and sauces. That kind of hospitality and genuine warmth is so rare these days. Tu Madre is one of those places that keeps you coming back... incredible food, great vegan options, generous portions, and genuinely kind people behind the counter. Highly recommend.

The staff was super helpful with recommendations, and the menu had so many creative twists on classic tacos. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and different from the usual taco spots. What we tried KBBQ Braised Beef Street Taco: 9/10 Super flavorful and tender. The Korean BBQ-inspired beef was savory with a little sweetness, and spice. everything together worked well! Birria Taco: 8/10 A classic done right. Super juicy, packed with flavor, and definitely comforting. Ahi Tuna Taco: 7/10 Probably the most unique taco I tried. It tasted super fresh and light, though I recommend adding some sauce.

One of the best al pastor burritos in LA! A friend…read morerecommended it to me and I traveled 19 miles and wasn't disappointed. You could see the freshness of al pastor on their vertical rotating grill and the meat seemed leaner as well. They cut a new batch of al pastor and then they chop it to smaller pieces than you're normally used to seeing and somehow, those smaller pieces preserved all the delicious meat juice inside. The al pastor was very tender, juicy, well-marinated and had the sweet and savory notes in a perfect balance and the guys adding some fresh, ripe pineapple on top was a nice touch! I got served my burrito open-faced, I added the salsa, pickled onion and chopped fresh onions and then sent it back to the crew for the final wrapping. Just a great, tasty burrito that absorbed really well. The quality could really be seen and felt and the $10 price tag was unbeatable. The customer service was very friendly and there is plenty of parking right behind the taco stand on the CVS plaza. Will definitely come again!

Whoa. The hype is real. For all these years I put street food, taco trucks a step tier below actual…read morerestaurants. But this all changed tonight. I watched a burrito be made right in front of me in a minute and it turned out to be one of the best burittos I've ever had. And it was only $12. I understand now. The added pineapple in the buritto added just enough sweetness. They smash the tortilla into the grill and they also smash the meat to make sure it's hot. The meat has no gristle and it's very soft and flavorful. This is why we live in California. I applaud the taco stands opening up in the same block. The line was intimidating but the festive music only made me hungrier. I am surprised at how friendly the staff can be while they are "at work". I've only seen such positivity at Howlin Rays. Luckily, the line moves much faster. They had a cactus salsa which would have gone great with salsa chips. It's the type of salsa that you get at great mexican restaurants and they just let you choose an unlimited amount of it. I asked for rice and beans in my burrito and they put just the right amount of it, being careful as to not overpower the meat portions. I also appreciate that I can add my own salsa, onions, cilantro, before handing it back to them to wrap it. Sometimes the hype of LA places are blown out of proportion especially with blog posts and social media. But I can vouch for this place. It really is worth it. I will be back for sure.
